Persians and Maine Coons are two of the most popular felines these days. Both breeds are longhaired, and both have especially even temperaments. Is there any truth to the idea that longhaired cats, overall, are more even-tempered than their shorthaired counterparts? Although hard scientific data is hard to come by, there definitely appears to be some correlation.
Most cat lovers want feline companions that are friendly and handsome. Beauty is not difficult to find, but personality is another thing altogether. As is true in all species, both nature and nurture play a role.
