Did you know the acclaimed exercise guru was inspired by cats?

Almost a century ago, Joseph (“Joe”) Pilates developed a unique exercise method he called Contrology.

Hundreds of exercises comprise Pilates, as his method is known today; and many of those exercises (such as Elephant, Swan and Snake) are named after animals. Then there is Pilates’ muse — the cat.
