“I don’t know Dad,” you say. “That’s not like Fritz to hide out under a bed all day, I’m going to go look inside.”

“Great! Thanks! Let us know when you find him,” your dad says.

You go inside and start in the bedrooms where you think Fritz is most likely hiding. You check your bedroom. No Fritz in the closet. No Fritz under the bed. No Fritz behind dressers or desks.

You head to your sister’s room. Again, no Fritz anywhere.

Your brother’s room, no Fritz.

The bathrooms: No Fritz.

Downstairs: No Fritz.

Kitchen: No Fritz. 

Family room, living room, dinning room: No Fritz.

You go back through and double check every room in the house. You lift up couch cushions. Get down on your hands and knees and peek behind every desk and dresser even though you know Fritz is a big cat.

OK, now you start to worry.

You go back to your family and tell them the alarming news.
