With the domestication of cats, man has attempted to artistically anthropomorphize kitties with clothing and accessories. Egyptian goddess Bastet is adorned in gold medallions. And Dr. Seuss' Cat in the Hat wears a bowtie.
Certainly we believe that real cats prefer wearing just their own fur, but talented artists have stretched the boundaries of what cats find acceptable by dressing them in their art.
