While many believe that trap-neuter-return (TNR) to control feral cat numbers is workable, the proof hasn't been widely known. But the proof exists.
The first major study was sponsored by Britain's Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW). By 1990, UFAW evaluated eight TNR programs in and around London, rating TNR "better than any available alternative."
