Sandra Land often gets some unexpected “help” with her household tasks. Sometimes when she’s making her bed, one of her RagaMuffin cats darts under the sheets, followed by another under the blanket and another under the comforter. “I call it my layered muffin recipe!” says the Florida-based breeder.

Land’s recipe nicely illustrates the docile charm and whimsical humor of the breed. Playful and lively but not destructive, affectionate but not demanding, these gentle-natured cats devote themselves to their owners.
