Zion Harley-Davidson and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary will host the First Annual Bikers for Best Friends Poker Run, Saturday, Sept. 23. The event will take motorcycle enthusiasts on a ride from Washington’s Zion Harley-Davidson, through Zion National Park in Utah, to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. Once at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, participants will receive a large pasta lunch and draw and play their poker hands. After lunch, riders will return to Zion Harley-Davidson for a raffle drawing and to learn the winners of the poker run.
The event kicks starts at Zion Harley-Davidson between 9 a.m. and noon, with registration taking place between 9 and 10 a.m. Registration is $30 per person and enters each participant in the poker run. The best poker hand wins $500, and the worst hand wins $150. Funds raised will benefit Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
Best Friends will have a mobile pet adoption center set up at Zion Harley-Davidson. The Harley dealership will have the new 2007 motorcycle models on display. A local radio station, 95.9 FM The Hawk, and band, Rockerbox, will provide music.
