Cat Show

Cat Show Coming to N.Y.

CFA celebrates 100th anniversary during event.

The Cat Fanciers’ Association, the world’s largest pedigreed cat registry, will celebrate its 100th anniversary during the 2006 CFA-Iams Cat Championship.

The cat show, sponsored by pet food company Iams, will be held in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, Sat., Oct. 14 and Sun., Oct. 15. More than 300 felines from across the globe are expected to compete.

Licensed CFA judges will independently rank the cats in various categories such as breed and feline agility.

The CFA was formed in 1906 and held its first convention at Madison Square Garden in 1907. The association has grown into a worldwide organization with more than 500 member clubs and 400 cat shows across the globe annually.

To learn more about the event, visit the show’s website.
