Rational Animal and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) will present the 4th Annual Gingerbread Homes for Animals Dec. 8-17 at Chelsea Market in New York City. The event invites New York’s world-class pastry chefs to create original, animal-themed gingerbread houses to increase awareness about the city’s homeless animal population. The gingerbread creations will be up for bid through silent auction, with proceeds benefiting The Picasso Veterinary Fund, dedicated to providing medical care for New York City’s homeless animals, and Rational Animal.
The public is invited to view the gingerbread houses at Chelsea Market Dec. 8-17, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. The event is free.
