Cindy, a feline refugee from Lebanon, has found a new home in New Hampshire. |
Cindy came to the United States a few months ago with nearly 300 other cats and dogs. She was living at a shelter run by Beirut for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and was one of the lucky animals transferred to Kanab, Utah, by the Best Friends Animal Society. Now, she has found a new home with Sheila and Walter Mansur of Hudson, N.H., just in time for the holidays.
The Mansurs say they plan to spoil their new cat, who reminds them of a beloved orange tabby they owned for 17 years. After living in the streets of Beirut, Cindy will enjoy the attention. She recently flew across country to join her new family and has settled in nicely.
Many of the cats and dogs rescued from Beirut are still available for adoption at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. For more information about adopting or sponsoring one of these animals, visit the Best Friends Animal Society website.
