IDA Concert

Benefit Concert to Aid Animal Disaster Victims

A portion of the money raised goes toward helping animals affected by Hurricane Katrina.

The California-based animal protection organization, In Defense of Animals (IDA), is staging a benefit concert next month to raise money for animals affected by Hurricane Katrina.

The concert, hosted by television personality Paula Abdul, is planned for Feb. 17, 2007, at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, Calif.

The event will also launch IDA’s disaster relief fund to help animals in future disasters and help fund other IDA rescue operations throughout the world.

In addition to the musical performances, the event will include food, drink and dancing.

Among the scheduled performers are Chuck Negron (of the band Three Dog Night), Howard Scott (from War), Jeff Pevar (from CPR), Stephen Bishop, Keaton Simmons, Robbie Dupree, Jaared and an “all-star house band of musicians,” according to IDA.

IDA also promises surprise celebrity guest appearances.

For more information, please call (415) 388-9641 or visit IDA’s website.
