New York cat and dog owners can have their pets photographed in time for the holidays at the “Festive Fur-tography Event,” Nov. 19-20, hosted by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Acclaimed animal photographer Geoff Tischman will take pet portraits at ASPCA headquarters from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. both days.
“We’re thrilled to give New Yorkers an opportunity to showcase their pets in a meaningful way,” said Ed Sayres, ASPCA president and CEO. “By the same token, it’s an opportunity for the ASPCA to meet our human and furry neighbors.”
For a minimum donation of $50, pet owners will receive a 30-minute photo shoot with Tischman, as well as a 5x7 portrait. Custom holiday cards will be available for order, with 50 percent of each order donated to the ASPCA.
To schedule a photography appointment, call the ASPCA at 212-876-7700, ext. 4586. Cats and dogs must be spayed or neutered, and current on all vaccinations. On the day of the photo shoot, cats must be in carriers, and dogs must be on leashes. Pet owners will need to provide their own props and costumes for the photo shoot.
