John O’Hurley and Constance Marie are the latest celebrities to help support the American Humane Association by filming public service announcements for the animal welfare organization. The short videos, hosted by YouTube, urge pet owners to spay and neuter their pets, thereby helping to control pet overpopulation and the overcrowding of animal shelters.
O’Hurley is known for his role as J. Peterman on “Seinfeld” and his recent competition on “Dancing With the Stars.” Constance Marie, winner of an Imagen Award for Best Actress in 2004, is known for her role as George Lopez’s wife on “The George Lopez Show.”
American Humane’s PSA campaign also includes the talents of Chris Noonan, director of the films “Babe” and “Miss Potter;” Josh Hutcherson, an actor who appeared in the recent movie “Firehouse Dog;” and Emily Watson, an English actress best known for her role in “Breaking the Waves.” The campaign is part of American Humane’s public education program.
