In a continuing effort to help the cats found neglected at the F.L.O.C.K. facility in Pahrump, Nev., this summer, Best Friends Animal Society will host an adoption event at the Rainbow PetSmart in Las Vegas this weekend, Oct. 20-21. About 100 cats from Pahrump will come to the event, hoping to go home with new families.
Potential cat adopters can see the cats in person at PetSmart from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20 and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21. The Rainbow PetSmart is located at 2140 North Rainbow in Las Vegas.
Past adoption events have helped dozens of the Pahrump cats find new homes. The first adoption event, held at the Nugget Casino in Pahrump, placed 41 cats in new homes. Two adoption events at the Summerlin PetSmart in September found homes for another 44 cats. And two adoption events hosted by the Santa Fe Station and Sunset Station casinos led to the adoptions of 72 cats.
