The American Humane Association (AHA) is seeking nominations for its 2007 Be Kind to Animals Kid Contest. The contest will honor a child between the ages of 6 and 13 who performed an extraordinary act of kindness for the benefit of animals between May 13, 2006 and April 16, 2007. Grand prize winners will be selected in two age groups: 6-9 years old, and 10-13 years old. The winners will be announced during AHA’s Be Kind to Animals Week, May 6-12.
To nominate a deserving child, visit AHA’s website to download a nomination form. In 200 words or less, describe how the child has shown extraordinary kindness to animals and why he or she should be selected as a 2007 American Humane Be Kind to Animals Kid. Photos and supporting documentation are encouraged but not required.
