New Website for Animal Control Officers

New Website Allows Animal Control Officers to Trade Equipment

PetSafe of Knoxville, Tenn., launched a program that enables animal control officers to share equipment they need and donate items they don’t.

The ACO Swap Shop website allows officers and organizations to swap equipment including trucks, medical devices, caging, leashes, food and other items. Current categories include dog, cat, small mammal, reptile, and bird accessories.

“Animal Control Officers make a difference in our communities every day, and we need to make sure they have the equipment and resources to do their job,” said Chris Brudecki, director of PetSafe’s outreach program. “We hope the ACO Swap Shop will help secure some of these immediate needs while serving as an online networking tool for ACO organizations across the country.”

The company recommended that pet owners other concerned citizens interested in making equipment donations contact their Animal Control Agency or visit the National Animal Control Association’s website.

PetSafe manufactures pet training, containment, safety and lifestyle products, including the Invisible Fence Brand electric fence system, which is co-sponsoring the new website with PetSafe.
