Long Island, N.Y.-based cat club Gold Coast Feline Fanciers, in conjunction with The Long Island Pet Expo, will present a first-ever Cool Weather International Cat Show during the three-day Long Island Pet Expo from Nov. 10 to 12.
Cats, exhibitors, and judges from across the United States and Canada are expected to converge at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the event.
Dozens of cat breeds, including the Abyssinian, Bengal, Maine Coon, Persian, Ragdoll, Scottish Fold, Selkirk Rex, Siberian, Sphynx and Toyger, are expected to attend.
Keynote speaker will be veterinarian Susan Little, president of the Winn Feline Foundation and owner of two feline specialty practices in Ottawa, Canada.
The pet expo’s hours will be from 12 noon to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11; and Sunday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
