The HSUS seeks information about the person who shot two cats in Pennsylvania. The Humane Society of the United States will pay a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who shot two cats in Holtwood, Pa.

On the morning of Sept. 11, 2006, a family found their calico cat, Spice, dead from wounds received by a shotgun blast. The next morning, the family discovered their gray male cat, Mistletoe, hiding under the car in the driveway. The owners are unsure how the indoor cats escaped.

Mistletoe had multiple shotgun pellets in his body. A veterinarian was able to save the cat’s life but could not safely remove all the pellets from his body.

Investigators are still seeking the culprits. Anyone with information is asked to contact Keith Mohler at (717) 285-2851.

Todays' society is full of angry, twisted people and animals are usually their first victims. I hope the local authorities find and prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law! Everyone needs to contact their senators & house represetatives to change the humane laws so that animal victims can have true justice! Thanks for the 'news' of this crime...an informed public is a smart public!

That person should be shot themselves. Injuring and killing a cat is sick and wrong. I hope this person is either shot or has lifetime jail sentence with fine. I'll be so glad when the culprit is found. Thanks for info.

I believe that if a person is sick enough to hurt an innocent creature there is no telling what they are capable of with people. These people are a danger to society and once caught should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law! Animals should be cherrished!

People who abuse, hurt, and kill cats in this manner should be hanged, drawn, and quartered. My thoughts are with the owners, and my prayers are with the innocent victims of this horrific crime ~ the dear cats.
