The Animal Health Institute, a group that represents animal health product manufacturers, recently launched its Keeping Animals Healthy website. It aims to highlight the importance of public policy in protecting animal and human health.
“The public and policymakers at the federal, state and local levels are more interested than ever in ways to protect human health by protecting animal health,” says Alexander Mathews, AHI president and chief executive officer. “We hope this website is a valuable source of information for those interested in effectively protecting animal health.”
The website gives an overview of AHI’s advocacy positions, and provides information about the review processes in place at the federal agencies that regulate animal health products.
AHI’s member companies include Bayer Animal Health, Fort Dodge Animal Health, Merial Ltd., Pfizer Animal Health, and Schering-Plough Animal Health, among others.
