Elaine Wexler-Mitchell, D.V.M., graduated from Cornell University and Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and has practiced small animal veterinary care for the past seventeen years. She started her own practice exclusively for felines in 1991. She is a contributing editor to Cat Fancy magazine, a former columnist for Cat Fanciers Journal, and wrote The Complete Idiots Guide to a Healthy Cat. She lives in Southern California with her husband, Howard, and two cats, Keiki and Shaka. She practices veterinary medicine in Orange, California.
