We have two indoor female cats, 2 and 1.5 years old. Recently, the 2-yr-old got out and was gone for over a week. The other cat obviously missed her while she was gone. Then one day our cat showed up on our doorstep and we were so excited, fearing the worst. Unfortunately, the other cat now wants nothing to do with her! She hisses and growls anytime she comes near . . . is it possible the "lost" kitty acquired some disease while she was away? Or could she be pregnant? Or does the younger cat now think she is in charge?
