Cats share litter boxes so there would never be a 'clean box'. 1 per cat plus a extra one is absurd.

No one it going to have 3 litter boxes for two cats. That is just stupid. If your cat it too weak to get rid of the other cat so it can use the litter box then bye bye kitty. I have had up to 5 cats once with two litter boxes side by side and I had no problems even when some of the cats hated others.

good article. i have 2 adult cats and they use just 1 litterbox. it seems as if they have picked out a spot where each uses. It is a big litterbox. So far so good
