I have a 15yr old cat that eliminates other places besides her box. She has a clean box daily, she has been checked by vets. I have tried strong carpet spray/powder but nothing has worked. It seems like I have tried everything suggested here. What next?

I have five kittens. I recently switched to a natural pine litter, and my oldest male who is eight months old will not use the box anymore. The vet said that he would get used to the new litter, but I'm worried about his health and comfort in the mean time. He doesn't seem to be changing his mind any time soon.

What do I do?

We have moved into a new home and need to learn how to retrain our two cats. They had been missing the litter box terribly before the move. Should we keep them in one room for two weeks? Also, what do you suggest we do if we decide not to keep them? Our humane society will no longer take cats.
