Recently a cat loving family had their red female cat, Angel Rhuby cross over the Rainbow Bridge. The cat mom of this family decided she would like to adopt another red female and as luck would have it, there was Rosie at the Petsmart Adoption Center. Rosie #252822 and her new mom bonded instantly and Rosie came to her new home that day. Rosie was at the shelter for over two months and was a bit wild. She didn't like being kept in a cage and would fight with the shelter workers when they tried to put her back in her cage. This was a big reason why Rosie #252822 wasn't adopted sooner; she was scared and the people looking at her were not patient with her until her new mom came along. Now at her new home Rosie #252822 is a cuddle cat with her daddy and loves to play with her brother Yogi. She gets along with the rest of her furry siblings and is a happy cat. Rosie #252822 will not eat dry food but she will eat any kind of wet food. She doesn't like dry treats either! Rosie loves to play with her furry mouse and the laser light. Rosie #252822 is happily spoiled now in her new home and we are very happy she has found a wonderful loving home. Rosie would be so honored to have a COTD badge to display on her page. May 6, 2013--- Guess its about time!
Good Monday Morning! Have a super day! We want to apologize that it has been forever since we did a good round of blogging on CC. Now we are doing a c/p and do have to apologize to you. We are well and have told a few friends that mom is planning a big trip to visit family in Norway this summer. Also, a cousin from Norway will be returning here for a visit after. Mom has to do some painting and work on the house too or arrange for it to be done. Kitty care and a house-sitter is arranged. Doggy care is in the works. Mom got her e-ticket and her Passport came Saturday.

We also feel guilty that K.Barney did promise continued stories time to time and so far we have not! Well, we do have one for today, but will have to keep it short. Not a story mom is too proud of, because she should have listened to Angel Pasha, who you met during our Catpaign. One summer night he bit her arm to wake her out of a sound sleep and then ran to the window. To mom's credit she looked out, but did not see anything, so chased Pasha from their room. He tried to protest and kept running to the window, but mom still did not see anything and did not investigate further. Well, she did lean her lesson----- in the morning she talked to her neighbor and found out he had been gone that night and his house was robbed! Mom felt so guilty that she had not done more, but she was so tired and did not see or hear anything from where she was. She sure learned that cats may have more of a sense when something is wrong than most humans realize. Of course, there are still times when we kitties just can't sleep and we want some company.

HAPPY MONDAY
Well, this month has been a really nasty month. The weather especially. Mom has written down on her calendar, and counting today has been only 9 days out of this whole month that it has been NICE and WARM!! Other than that it has been unseasonably cool if not down right COLD and RAINY RAINY and MORE RAIN!! I dont know when or if it will STOP!! They can not say we are in drought conditions now and if any thing we are ABOVE the deficit. I can believe that. Well, Mommie got a bad letter the other day. She was expecting that to be said. But she is not discouraged or any thing and said KARMA will come back around to those bad people. Mommie said she knows her own self better than any body. So she is going to devote all of her time to ME and the rest of her family here. Well, my human sister is getting her big giant pool ready for the summer but I wont get to see it or any thing except in the pictures Mommie takes. They got it from a pool factory nearby and it is 30 foot around and 4 and half feet deep. It will come to Mommie's chin. Mommie said if she could not learn to swim in that pool she might as well forget it. No she has never learned to swim. Too afraid of the water. Must have lived a previous life and went down with the Titanic or something. LOL!! But they are putting a great big old deck around it and gates that will be locked to keep the kids and every one else around out of it. The only way any one CAN get to it is to either come directly up on the front porch and any body can see or hear them, or through the main house. Guess what I did the other day too?? I did a bad thing by darting out of the house via way of the open front door. Mommie was giving Richie Da Dawg some treats for being a good doggie and when she opened the door to come back in, I just HAD to make a dart for the yard. But she and Poppie never run me or chase after me or any thing. They just let me explore and stay right with me until I give in to let one or the other catch me. Mommie tried to grab my collar but it broke away because it is one of those safety collars. Mommie laughed and said..."Well, at least I know it WORKS now!!" I chased after a lovely butterfly and ran up on the bank. Mommie yelled at me but I stopped. I dont know if I would be territorial or not but Mommie and Poppie doesnt want to take that chance. They say I wouldnt be like the other cats before me and stay around the yard. Would be nice to see what lies on out there but I will try to be nice when I escape and try to just stay close by. Well, enough for the time being. All of you take care now.

How are all of you doing today? Are you having nice weather now? I hope so. It is nice here and the windows are open so we can sit on the sills and listen to the birds. Mom bought us a catnip plant and it is really nice to have fresh catnip when we want it.

Mom has had a tough week with her back so we haven't been on to answer any of our blogs and she says she is going to take some time off from the computer because she is getting headaches from the Chantix she is taking to quit smoking. So it may be a week or so before we are back on CC. We are very proud of her, today is day 26 that she hasn't been smoking.

♥ Mom woke up early this morning with a very tired and sore body. Her and dad basically took it easy other than mom taking care of us and also gathering the garbage and yard debris then taking the containers to the curb for morning pick up!!!!

♥ Mom and dad will be back to their busy days again starting Monday. Mom says we will be getting lots of cattery time this week since we are suppose to have Summerlike weather all week!!!!

♥ K. FIDEL 14733; TONANTZIN 14732 & CHE 14734 as their sweet momma SARA CAZARES went to her Forever Sleep yesterday (4/20/2013) morning from complications follwing a stroke she had last year. Sara was a very active momma with her husband, 2 sons, 3 fur kits & 1 doggie as well with the schools and politics. She was still a young woman at age 48. She also used to be very active on CC. Many of us old CC timers were close to Sara and her kitties.
We are so sad to learn of her Forever Sleep and she will be deeply missed!!!!
Please keep this family in your prayers.

I'm so happy you enjoyed your Sweet Sixteen COTD and got to go out in the sun and have some tuna. What a special day that must have been.

Mom just finished watching Yale beat Quinnipiac 4-0 in the NCAA college hockey finals. She was happy because she worked at Yale for 35 years.

Other than that there isn't too much going on around here. Dad vacuumed yesterday and disturbed our naps. It was supposed to rain hard here but it wasn't too bad so Mom and Dad went out shopping and got us some more treats and cat food. Oh yes, they got some food for themselves too, MOL.

Today was pleasant and tomorrow is supposed to be nice too so Mom and Dad might go to the flea market just to walk around. Sometimes they come home with the weirdest things. One day Mom came home with an old rusted pair of roller skates, the kind that clamp on to your shoes that she used to use when she was a little girl. She says that if she could find a key for them she might give them a try. REALLY!!! These humans are strange.

Well, Dad has dinner ready so I have to go but I'll meow with you soon.

so happy for you had a great sweet sixteen tuna and going out in the sun to nap, can't get better than that.yes, mom son lives out in Calhan, CO and we saw where they got snow too yesterday, but my human brother loves it. mom is thinking twice on maybe moving out there when car is paid off, but not too crazy on the snow part. so our temps are in 80s, need rain to wash the pollen out, have a blessed day prayers to all who need, headbonks, hug/kisses liver catnip angel marley/mom/wonderful tigger!

How are you today? I am doing well. It has been another wet rainy day here in Detroit and cold as well, just made it to 38* for a high. Geesh, and this is supposed to be SPRING???

On a good note though, our Tigers played in this wet weather and won 11/1 over Toronto. That was fun. The rain held off Downtown til about the 6th inning and then it started coming down, but they finihsed the game anyway.

Mom spent the morniing cleaning her room and stuff. The new headboard she ordered is coming tomorrow via FEDEX, so mom cleaned around the old one. Mom can't wait for her new one as this one she has had since the 80's...she sid it is about time for a new one. When she gets a job, she is gonna get a new dresser and chest as well.

Hope you have a pawsome afternoon, we are just being lazy kitties cause of the rain, so we are all getting our much needed beauty rest. Jesse is pacing, and Kelsee is watching mom.

Mom went to check on Kittzi 160203 and Sylvr Tuff 160205 in their room a couple days ago and couldn't find Sylvr. Finally, mom seen she was laying in their carrier! Mom chuckled and though she was so cute! Then later that same day, Kittzi decided to nap in it after Sylvr was out!

Mom de-wormed Kittzi and Sylvr Tuff yesterday. They didn't want the Pill Pockets so mom had to pick them up by the scruff of their necks to give them the pill. Mom had to cut them in half so they would go down their throats easier and after each half was given to Kittzi, she hissed at mom. Mom told her it was ok then petted and kissed on her afterwards!

The last two days, Sylvr Tuff has been sneezing so she's been staying a little quieter. Mom told her that it will go away soon as most of the inside kitties has already been through it the last couple weeks or so which started with Jazpyr 10428!

I was lying on the back of the couch this morning asleep and then I fell down on top of Rhoamin 2921! I got back up on the back of the couch and mom was laughing! I was giving her the "What happened to me" look and Rhoamin was giving me a "Surprised" look as he was also asleep! Mom said the looks on both of us was funny and priceless! Glad she was AMUSED!

Mom and dad has their purrrsonal Bible Study today so mom needs to clean our house before the other couple hets here. We will try to visit as many furrriends time will allow us to!

Lovely frame! Glad we could help you celebrate your 16th birthday & COTD! Hope you don't get that snow this week! Time for nice weather now! Nice sunny day. Apparently it is warming up finally. Mom is thinking of turning the heat off soon. Forecast does say it will go down to 32* over night again towards the weekend but Mom can use the portable heater if needed. Happy Tuesday & thanks for stopping by the Imperial Cabin! Okay kitties…today we’re touring my home state a little bit & taking a trip to Michigan City, IN to see the OLD LIGHTHOUSE MUSEUM! At the bend of Trail Creek in the Michigan City harbor stands an historic old structure whose beacon served as a guiding light for Great Lakes sailors for more than 100 years. Michigan City's well-lighted port has a long and interesting history, bound to Lake Michigan with all its mysteries and beauties. Michigan City's first light was a simple "postlight"( lantern on a tall pole) located approximately 100 feet west of the present lighthouse. In 1837, Jeremy Hixon, Sr. and his son were contracted by the U.S. Government to build a permanent lighthouse in Michigan City. That structure consisted of a keeper's dwelling with a 40 foot high whitewashed tower topped with a lantern to house the light. As shipping in Michigan City increased, primarily grain and lumber, a brighter light was needed to guide ships into the busy port. In 1858, the U.S. Government constructed a lighthouse using Joliet stone for the foundation and Milwaukee or "Cream City" bricks for the superstructure. The Old Lighthouse Museum opened officially on June 9, 1973 & has guided tours Tues-Sun from 1-4pm so that’s where we’re going today kitties! I’d originally planned to meow to you about another of our CC furiends while we’re traveling on the Cyclone Express bus today but I’ll do that on Thursday instead since this article about my home state caught my eye this morning.

~Dachshund Adopts Abandoned Kittens~
In a story originally shared by Fox 59 in Indianapolis, four kittens were born on the front porch of a local couple, right before an early spring blizzard brought more than nine inches of snow to the area. The couple found the kittens alone and brought them inside to care for them. Little did they know it would be their Dachshund, JOJO, who would do much of the caretaking! The dog immediately took over mothering duties, including producing milk to nurse the kittens. The couple told Fox 59 that JoJo “acts as if she birthed them herself.” The kittens, who are all boys, are named Poseidon, Hephaestus, Pan and Zephyr, also known as the “blizzard kittens.” They’ll be available for adoption when they’re old enough.

Now that’s another true awww moment! They have their own FB page but for those that don’t go there I’ve also posted pics in my gallery so you can also get that warm fuzzy feeling from seeing this pawtastic doggie with her ‘kitty pups’. This family gets the Calico award of excellence for cuteness!

we'd believe
anything! this weather is so nutsy it's not funny! we were more like winter the past 2-3 weeks on and off, now it's like spring for a change as it's been so long in coming! now near 80 today and 70s for one last day tomorrow. had a t'shower move through around 4 this morning and will have more showers moving in tomorrow on/off and then again some on thursday, but more dry than wet! rain friday so back to the 40s and 50s for that one day and 50s and 60s after that. we've gotten snow up through the first week in may as janet's remembered that one a kitchen sinker totaling 4" at that time closing schools! sure hope we don't get anything like that again! she's going to plant more stuff in her garden after hbp/cholesterol check and a run to her bank so she can pay her car insurance in full till the next bill comes. sandy, ana,haley, angels
