How We Met

I was walking down the street looking for someone who had kittens, and I asked a friend of mine if she knew of anyone and through two people we found one old man who had a whole yard full. So I asked him if I could take one home, and he told me to take them all. When I found the five small kittens and some that were three months old or more... I noticed that they were all dying. So I grabbed two kittens, and rushed them to the vet. Animal Control and the Police removed all the kittens, and of course all died but one. The one I truely wanted was very sick, but I knew that I could give her a good home.. I was willin to do anything to help her. Unfortunately the others had to be put to sleep and one actually died on the table while the vet was doing a stool sample. I took my Libbby home, and wrapped her in fleece baby blanket like I was instructed to do, I kept her warm and fed her through a syringe every two hours until she was full... I also gave her water all day long. Those days were a bit rough in the beginning. No sleep, not eating much.. but it was all worth it in the end. Libby is still here with me and just as healthy as ever. When I got Libby she had every infection a cat could get. She was very ill and went through many rounds of antibiotics to make her well which in the meantime postponed her shots with a big risk for other diseases.. But Libby made it and is with me here today.. I couldn't ask for a better cat. She is the best of all. She even wakes me up kissing my face and purring.
