I hear you did well at the show, as always. Congratulations!
I hope your mom is ok. I'm keeping her in my thoughts.
Is your house all decorated? Mom put up a couple trees, but she's afraid that ornaments will temp us too much so they are bare. So far, we haven't knocked them over.
It is snowing here. Mom was going to get some shopping done today, but its too cold to leave the apt. It sure looks pretty outside though.

Good luck tomorrow!
Where is the show? Are you all ready?
How was the turkey? Mom brought home some leftovers from her friend's house. She wouldn't part with her turkey, but she gave us some ham. I was disappointed we didn't get cornbread like last year.
Do you ever try to climb the Christmas tree? Mom can't put one up because we always knock it over. We like the box too. We get to play with lots of boxes this time of year.
I hope you have a good time tomorrow and I hope everything goes well on Monday. Please keep us updated.

Happy (almost) Thanksgiving!
How are you? How is your mom? Is she ready for her surgery on Monday? We will be thinking about her.

Are you guys going to eat turkey tomorrow. Mom was invited over to a co-workers house. We're hoping she brings home leftovers. Otherwise, she better get something special for us.

Mom is going to post a picture of my new sister, Violet. She takes a lot of mom's attention, but she sure is fun to play with.

Happy Friday!
We are almost the same size. When I went to the vet last month, I was 9 and a half pounds. Mom says it feels more like I weigh 20 pounds. She thinks I'm chubby. My little sister can get on top of the refrigerator and I can't even make it up on to the kitchen counter. You look very fit so I must be too!

Did your mom go to the doctor to find out about her surgery? We will keep her in our thoughts.
Please let us know how everything goes.

Glad you had a good check up. You're 9 pounds? That is good size for a girl. I'm barely 10 pounds even and boy EB's are usually in the 10-12 pound range. My breeder though I might be a little on the small size as my Mom was pretty small - even for a girl. I bet your sister will do good at the show too. The judges might have to do a double take if you look that much alike though!

We did get some bad news today. Mickey's bloodwork came back and did indicate his kidneys are not working quite as well as they should be. He's 13 and probably in the very early stages of kidney failure. His values were only slightly elevated, but our vet did recommend starting him on a prescription diet to hopefully help slow the progression.

Just wanted to wish you good luck at your upcoming show. You are such a gorgeous girl I know you'll do great!

Mickey and Mr. Fez had their annual vaccines and exam today and everything checked out good. Mickey was pretty crabby about the whole thing though. I'm due for my dreaded vet visit next month.

Long time, no meow- how are you?
Not much is going on here. The credit union where mom works is closed tomorrow so she's gets to stay home with all day :)
Are you looking forward to Thanksgiving? I am- I love turkey and cornbread. Mom is going to a friend's house. Hopefully, she will bring home leftovers. I don't know why we can't go with her.

Fall has fell the air is cool. 78/65. We all escaped again yesterday while dad was waxing his truck. He got a can of FF, opened the door from the house to the garage, opened the can and the clan came arunning into the garage. How are you? Did you have a nice Halloween? How's the weather there? Can you believe it was already snowing here this week? It was nice today, but it's been very cold. I don't even want to go out on the balcony!

My brother and I went to the TICA show last weekend. My brother placed in several of the rings despite his hissing at the judge. Mom said that he doesn't have to go to any more shows. He was so upset, he was hyperventilating! I'm not crazy about shows, but I will tolerate them. I have a new Tonkinese sister named Violet. She will come to the show with me next time. She's pretty cute.

Yes, those scratching boxes are nice for cats, except our Fuzz. He eats the scraps that we scratch off!!! Unreal. Did Mom get all of Sabrina's mats out? Tuffy has a problem with that and because he won't let Mom touch him, he was brought to the vet and shaved. Time to put in my Ipod's ear phones and fall asleep listening to bird in the forest. What was your day like in CA? Mom/Dad sat out on the deserted beach (all the tourists are gone) and enjoyed the calm Gulf, sounds of sea gulls, and seeing tons of orange/black butterflies fluttering their way to Mexico. AHHHHHH! Yes! We understand VERY well about not wanting to be show kitties! MOL! Sebastian was so scared at his last show (a year ago in August) that he bit at the judge. The judge was very forgiving, but Mom withdrew Sebs. She said he was shaking to his bones as she carried him back to the benching cage. I have more manners than to try and bite or claw at a judge, but I let Mom (and the judges) know that I didn't like the cat shows by staying so tense that my body STAYS in the letter "C" and I complain...A LOT!

WOW! That is just GREAT that you are doing so well at the shows! Mom and my breeder went to Springfield, IL to meet Linus, the European Burmese, and his Mom, Leann. Mom says BOTH of them are VERY nice. And Linus finaled while we were there! He got 8th place, but the judge told his Mom after the judging that he is a VERY nice cat and encouraged her to keep showing. I got a blog from Linus yesterday that he finaled on Sunday too in one ring...and got Best Cat AND Best Shorthair Premier! We are VERY proud of him. Considering he was supposed to be "pet quality", he's doing pretty well, I think. ~ Mocha

That is a relief! Mom wants to take me to a show in CA so she's happy to hear it is possible for me to ride in the cabin of the plane. We were going to drive, but 14 hours is way too long! She will check with the airlines.

The Howl-o-Ween show next weekend is a TICA show. It will be here at the fairgrounds in Albuquerque. My brother and I will only participate on Sat. Mom is working at the show on Sun. Grandma will be here too. I'll let you know how it goes.

Good morning, Juliana and Snowflake
What a pretty kitty Snowflake is! Does your Mom ever take Snowflake to cat shows for HHP? That would be a lot of cats to keep track of though, wouldn't it? Your poor mom would be running from ring to ring and it would be hard to keep track of who is in what ring when.

How have you been doing? How have the cat shows been going? This past Saturday, Mom and my breeder drove to Springfield, IL so that Mom could meet my friend Linus, the Euro Burmese, and his Mom. Mom says they are both REALLY sweet. And she said Linus is a VERY handsome kitty. Mom said they stayed just long enough to see Linus final in one of the rings! He got 8th best cat! Mom's still not too clear about the point system thing, but she is sure that he got more points toward his Grand Premier title. It was a two day show, so Mom doesn't know how well Linus did on Sunday.

Then on Sunday, Mom went with my breeder to Iowa to an ACFA show. My breeder was picking up a new kitten to be a future breeder boy. You know the Cat Fancy issue that featured us Tonkinese? The kitty on the cover was named Tangeray. Tangeray is this kittens mommy and he really has his mommy's face. My breeder is VERY excited to have this little boy.

Oh, and Juliana, my breeder was very impressed when she saw me on Saturday! She hasn't seen me since that last cat show back in early June. My breeder said that I have really grown into a BEAUTIFUL platinum solid! She said it was a real pity that I hate cat shows, because she said I could have really done well! Gee! Mom was quite tickled, but Mom said that I have her under my paw and that I am permanently retired from the show ring. YEAH MOM! You WERE listening!!!! ~ Mocha

Dad had a catscan the other day and we were all so jealous. We could have given him a scan and some purr therapy here. Zippi knocked over the big cat tree, and enjoyed a vomit spree. Taz likes sleeping in the microwave and sits by it all day. The cold weather is here today,59 last nite, 67 today and lower 50's tonight. OG got his blanket and has gone into a kitty hibernation. Missy is still in the sink and enjoys drinking dads tea and spilling it from timt to time. Dad is grumpy and sleeps alot. The saga of as the rancho turns continues. I am not surprised to hear you did so well at the show. I hope I make it to the finals next weekend. I've never flown either. Mom's not sure if we can ride in the cabin of the plane. Do you know? It would be much too scary and dangerous to ride down below.
I've never stayed at a hotel, but I like to explore the shower at home, even when it's wet. My brothers and sister stayed in a motel on the way to Albuquerque from CA. They hid under the bed the whole time- chickens.

It's me Coops! I heard about your Momma's surgery and boy we sure hope all goes well. I know this has been a tough year for you all. We think about you often, but Mom doesn't spend as much time on CC as she used to. It upsets Dad. He has been working a night job so Mom is able to take me to the MHL now and then too! He is going to be working for a Police dept. starting in November if all goes well. Then he will be home with us nights and weekends again. We miss him here as Mom works days and they never see each other. The only down side is Mom won't be on CC much again if he get's that job. We are keeping our paws crossed as it pays over $8000 a month and right now he is working for $13 per hour in security. But, heck it buys the cat food!!! MOL We are sending our prayers to your Momma and you guys be good and help her heal quickly ok! Hugs, Coops

Oh my goodness! I'm sorry your mom had to go to the hospital :( I hope that procedure helps her. Good thing she got out in time to take you to the show. You're proabably already in Santa Barbara. Mom says it's really pretty there. She likes living in Albuquerque, but she does miss CA.
