Nicknames: I have have a bunch! They call me Mitt Mitts, Mitty Mitts (which I named my daughter after), Mitts, Queenie, and Meanie >:)

Age: 18 years old

Gender: F

Coat: short haired

Education: The age of 13! I'm really proud of myself for being 13 and still so strong and active! I haven't let my hyperthyroidism get me down! I'm still the same! Beating up my kids and controlling the entire house!

My favorite tricks and treats are: If staring you down like I'm trying to burn a hole in your head is a trick? Then yeah! and Salmon treats

Where I hang out: I love to sleep in any box, and piles of paper (especially papers my human is working on or reading).

My favorite grubs: I love fish, fish, fish! My favorite kind is the ones I catch!

My pet peeves: Picking me up without my permission, not feeding me on-time, petting me without my permission, moving my bed.

What I love about my owners: She is a good contrast to my calm and collected personality. She can be a bit too hyper-active, but that's who she is. I love how she buys me whatever I want.

My cat hobbies: Sleeping and or patrolling my turf.

Pet motto: Stay cool, stay calm and nothing is going to happen.

How We Met

I was 5 years old when I got Mittens. It took a lot for me to get her since so many people were against it. I have had asthma + a skin condition since I was 2 and I still have them. They make it medically hard for me to own a cat because I am allergic to cats. My mother and my doctor were both against me getting a cat as a child, but I was determined. They tried to make me settle for a snake or a turtle but I had my heart set on a cat! One day while my mom was walking me to the bus stop a crossing guard who we knew over heard me asking my mom for a cat again. She told us that her cat had some babies and that they were old enough to go to new homes. She asked if we wanted one and I was ecstatic! After a LONG day of begging my mom she finally said yes! We brought Mittens home the next day of school! I have to stay on a long term medication to keep my cats or else I'll get sick, but it is well worth it!
