Hi Sassee!
Just pawing by to see how you are feeling and sending feel better wishes to you and your brother Rhoamin. That is great news about hearing from the Pet Food Stamps. We have our paws crossed for you guys!

Mom decided it was time to move the top of the cat carrier back onto the bottom half. She slid it on about ¼ of the way. Whitey & Orangie kept looking at it warily, but both kitties finished eating their breakfast without too much of a problem. Whitey sat with Mom for over an hour, just watching the sun start to rise. Orangie went back to the Igloo to sleep awhile longer. Mom felt progress was made today.

CATS’ RULES OF LIFE (Part 2)

CHAIRS AND RUGS:
If you have to throw up, get to a chair quickly. If you cannot manage in time, get to an Oriental rug. If there is no Oriental rug, shag is good. When throwing up on the carpet, make sure you back up so it is as long as a human’s bare foot or expensive clothing.

HAMPERING:
If one of your humans is engaged in some activity and the other is idle, stay with the busy one. This is called "helping," otherwise known as "hampering." Following are the rules for "hampering:"

• When supervising cooking, sit just behind the left heel of the cook. You cannot be seen and thereby stand a better chance of being stepped on and then picked up and comforted.

• For book readers, get in close under the chin, between eyes and book, unless you can lie across the book itself.

We hope you have a good day and get lots of rest dear furiend. Don't try to do too much walking! You're always in our prayers.

The outside kitties were on edge this morning, as was Mom when she opened the garage and smelled skunk! My Mom got out her flashlight and tennis racket and went out walking along the street, to hopefully scare it away if the skunk was still nearby. Thank goodness the coast was clear. Not sure what Mom would have done if she had run into the skunk. :( Whitey and Orangie ate fine; everyone just seemed a bit nervous.

The outside kitties are doing fine. Mom spends more time with them than she does with us! Just kidding. But it does seem like that sometimes. After they are finished eating, Callie and I are always waiting to run into the garage to see what went on in there. Mom thinks we will be fine when we finally do meet face to face!

Just checking in and sending some feel better wishes. Get lots of rest dear furiend.

This morning my Mom was with the outside kitties for over an hour. I was getting pretty tired of waiting! Mom sat on the floor again, to get to eye level with the outside cats, and Whitey really liked this. Whitey kept rubbing her face all over Mom & purring. Mom’s clothes were covered in fur! Callie and I were quick to check it out, sniffing to see whom she had been with. MOL!
Orangie was reluctant at first, but then would sneak behind Mom, sniff her and then go running away. Mom didn’t move and Orangie kept coming back like it was a game. Sniff and Run! Afterwards the kitties ate, not really noticing any scents from Callie and me. (I really think I need to spray that cat carrier. MOL!) Mom says this was a good morning. :)

The temperature was high 60 & low was 53 this morning, now it's 60 with humidity 69% & wind is 9 MPH WSW. Friday's suppose to be Showers & High 66.

♥ WOW!!!! What a MONTH of Adoptiversaries for our family, but luckily, That's All Folks!!!! Tehehehe!!!!

♥ I have been making sure I get lots of mom time everyday. I just love my mom so much!!!! I have been also sleeping by her feet the last week or so at bedtime which makes her real happy!!!!

♥ Mom went to PetSmart this morning to buy [2] 16 lb bags of Friskies Indoor; [3] 16 lb bags of Friskies Surfin Turfin; [1] 7 lb bag of Purina One Hairball; [1] 7 lb bag of Purina One Vibrant & Maturity & [1] 40 lb box of ExQuisiCat Litter. She got [2] FREE toys, too!!!!

♥ Well, mom is upset as my Feline Acne is coming back. She washes my face every morning after I eat my Fancy Feast can food and washes my food dishes alsmost every night before bed time.

♥ UPDATE: SASSEE 10605 seems to be doing better finally with not seemingly in so much pain like she had been due to her arthritis. Mom said the Dasuquin must be finally taking affect.

♥ UPDATE: SYLVESTER 11567 is no longer limping the last couple days. He will, however, will need to see Dr. Liz in a couple months for bloodwork to see how he is doing since his diagnosis of Early Kidney Failure in February.

♥ Mom and dad are set up for another yard sale starting Friday morning and ends on Saturday evening at 5:00pm so we may not get to visit everyone, but we will try!!!! Mom also changed my profile photo today.

The saga of our outside kitties continues… My Mom lifted the top half of the cat carrier onto several old newspaper crates and set it beside the bottom half of the carrier. Whitey & Orangie were curious this morning when they saw it, but not afraid. They both sniffed around it and then went back to the business of eating. Mom plans to slowly slide the top half of the carrier onto the bottom half. This was a great idea from our dear furiend Mischief!

P.S. You know, the outside kitties didn't seem to react to our scent on the carrier. I think they were too busy wondering what the top half of the carrier was doing raised up on boxes. My Mom is going to let my sis and I check it out again today. I don't think I'll be able to sneak a quick spray, because Mom will be watching! MOL!

The temperature was high 77 & low was 40 this morning, now it's 77 with humidity 31% & wind is 14 MPH WSW. Monday's suppose to be Showers & High 66.

♥ Well, mom told Callie 239447 that she met her match!!!! Saturday morning mom just happened to look over at the end of the couch to see Sassee 10605 sitting on it, which mom thought was awfully strange cuz she never gets on that end table then she seen Callie hunkered down under the top shelf of the end table. Mom told Sassee to leave her alone then mom had to pry Callie out from under that shelf part!!!! That's the first time Callie's been scared. Mom told Callie not to mess with Sassee especially when Sassee's in pain!!!! Sassee is the ALPHA girl inside!!!! No one was hurt!!!!

♥ Mom opened dad's window after she finished her kitty chores so we could go out in the cattery. Funny thing is though, she had it boarded up with plywood as it's suppose to rain today and she didn't want everything getting wet. At least we got the fresh air as well as relaxing out there!!!!

♥ Mom and dad didn't do much xcept relaxed and watched a couple movies on tv then some recorded shows on the DVR.

♥ Mom took the first cuttings of two roses today from her rose bushes. One is of her Angel Face which has a beautiful fragrance and the other is Jacobs Coat.

♥ We will be sharing a SPECIAL message come Monday evening!!!!

The temperature was high 77 & low was 44 this morning, now it's 76 with humidity 50% & wind is 9 MPH N. Friday's suppose to be Sunny & High 83.

♥ We got to stay out in the cattery til about 10:30 last night then mom made us come back in. This morning after mom did the kitty chores, she opened dad's bedroom window so we could go out in the cattery again for the day.

♥ Mom bought her a new weedeater at Wal*Mart since her other one quit early last year. This morning about 8:00 mom went out in the back yard to use her new weedeater for the first time and got the whole back yard done. Most of the grass was about 4 feet tall so the weedeating took longer. Mom got it done in about 2 hours. She said she will do the mowing tomorrow back there. Sissee 11531 watched mom and mom told her she was surprised she didn't run into hiding like all the other outside kitties!!!!

♥ UPDATE 5/09: SASSEE'S 10605 front legs are swollen pretty good again from her arthritis. Mom thinks maybe cuz she goes out in the cattery which means walking down and back up on the ramp at about a 45 degree climb!!!! She loves being out in the cattery as well. She also gets her daily dose of 2 pills of Dasuquin. She's pretty good at taking them for mom!!!!

♥ SYLVESTER 11567 has been limping the last few days on one of his front legs. Mom has brought him in the back room yesterday to check him out good, but couldn't find anything so he may have jumped wrong and hurt it. Mom's keeping watch on him closely!!!!

Here’s an update on the outside kitties :) My Mom was going to try to put the top half of the cat carrier back on, to see what kind of reaction she got from the outside kitties, Whitey & Orangie, but she got a little nervous. Instead she placed the top of the carrier next to the bottom part, where the two cats have been eating their food without a problem. When she opened the garage door, the two furbabies ran inside as usual, but stopped to check out and sniff the top half of the carrier. Afterwards, Whitey wanted to eat, so she walked to the open bottom half of the carrier and ate, with Orangie right behind her. So now they’ve seen the top half of the carrier. Hopefully it won’t be as scary to them. We shall see!

THE FENCE -

A cat will sit on a fence for hours on end
Sometimes on their own or just with a friend
They sit so still, as if made of stone
Perfectly balanced in a twilight zone
How do they sit on a fence that’s not very wide
If we tried to do it we'd have a sore back side

I am so glad you came with me on the plane and to my Wa house. It really helped me be more relaxed, dear one. I wrote another poem a couple of weeks ago and mom will let me share it with you.

FLY'S

Hi Sassee!
My Mom bought a soft foam pad to put in the cat carrier, the cat carrier she is trying to get Whitey & Orangie into. Mom sprinkled the floor of the carrier with catnip, placed the foam inside and then covered it with soft blankets. This morning the two cats stepped tentatively inside. Feeling the soft floor, they seemed to approve and ate their breakfast without a problem. Tomorrow Mom is going to try to put the top half of the cat carrier back on, to see what kind of reaction she gets. Keep your paws crossed.

I hope your new medicine is making you feel a little better. My Mom says quite a few people had the same complaint about the PETFoodStamp program; it takes long. But a few also said they finally got it, so keep after them.

THE PILL -

Before you even attempt to give your Cat a pill
Be sure you can do it or you will end up ill
To give a Cat a pill will be no easy task
Protective clothes are needed plus a clawproof mask
For after the pill gets past that cute little nose
It must pass a canyon of razors where no finger goes
Hold tight to those legs that have very soft paws
Because behind them are daggers that can win any wars
So take this advice before you give that pill to your pet
Take your Cat in the car and leave the pill to the VET.

Pawing by with a kitty kiss for you and the knight gang..love your pink nose! Thanks for stopping by to visit Cheese. Mom wanted to keep those three baby kittens so bad but we have no house so no room but mom learned a lot taking care of baby kittens. So far we have rescued 8 cats and found homes for all of them just living in this area..lots of stray kitties where we live..so sad. We hope you have a good week and we are starting to try and come on the CC at least once a week for now. still sending up get well and feel better prayers for u

daddy is now starting week 4 without working as he paints houses and this weather is holding all that up for now so momma cant afford to get our home puter fixed till he gets back to working and she can only blog for us when at work and she dont want to get in trouble so our blogs will be few till home puter can be fixed.
we have had rain all weekend plus most of last week also and is bad cloudy today with dark clouds so it will probably rain again today.

Dear Sassee,
What a pretty girl! Oh you aren't aggressive...you are just "expressive". I know because us tuxedos are very much so. I am not aggressive, but I sure let my mom know what I'm thinking!! Lately, I also have been so talkative. Mom laughs when I get irritated when she doesn't understand me
and then I meow MUCH louder. What's the matter with that woman? I enunciate very well, she must be a bit deaf.MOL.

6198 ~ SOME OF THE KNIGHT LIFE ~
EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 82 & low was 44 this morning, now it's 81 with humidity 21% & wind is 22 MPH NE. Sunday's suppose to be Sunny & High 84.

♥ After mom did her morning kitty chores then she opened dad's bedroom window for us to go out in the cattery then mom left to go to the grocery store for their monthly alotment. She still hasn't gotten ours yet!!!! Wonder if she forgot???? Tehehehe!!!!

♥ After mom got the groceries put away, she and dad left to go buy one yard of compost/mint mix soil for mom's flower bed. Mom took wheel barrel after wheel barrel loads then spreaded it all out even. Then mom did some weeding in the front yard.

♥ Mom got a phone call last night about Callie's pink stroller. They asked mom to hold it so they came here today about noon and bought it from mom. The lady told mom she has three little doggies that will go for rides in it!!!! Mom said she's glad that the stroller went to a good home that will get lots of use!!!!

♥ UPDATE: WHYSKRS' 10378 is doing purr*fect since his surgery!!!! His fur is growing back nicely. His health seems better as well plus he has had no diarrhea since his surgery.

How are you today.Has been cloudy all day,its raining now,glad mom got me out this morning before the rain got here.I went exploring in all my usual places,under mousey bushes,in the tall grass,stopped to eat grass,then sneaked back to the groundhog hole,they were out but by the time we sneaked up on them,mom with camera ready,the little stinkers ran back in thier hole,so no picture again,mom said she won't give up!I wanted to go look in the hole but mom won't let me,ole groundhogs.So I just ate more grass and walked on.Then it started misting rain and we had to come in,I wanted to go in this time,my fur was getting wet,so I pulled mom in the house this time,don't want wet fur.Made my rounds through the house,nothing going on in here today,to dark gloomy I guess,so I carried mr.innertube in to visit mom,mom got up last night and stepped on him,I had him laying on moms shoes,hehe.Then I rested with mom awhile and licked her on the head then pulled her hair,hehe,mom just gave me a hug and said don't do that again little man.Now I'm napping on moms bed in my place,Wicket on the other end,Baby in the middle,even to dark glomy to wack anyone today,Missy,Cindell in their napping spots,all quiet here.Sassee we sure hope the meds will help your little legs feel much better for you,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.

Mom has a determined look in her eyes ...
... and a comb in her hand. I think I'm gonna get groomed. I've got some nasty tangles in my fur and she said they MUST COME OUT! She puts me on my back in her lap and I lie there looking up into her eyes and hoping she's nearly done.

Still having computer problems. Dad is trying to fix that so Mom can get her CC blogs done in reasonable time. SIGH! (that was Mom)
