I am a Maine Coon from New York, NY
Nicknames: I am small in stature but large in personality - which is why I am affectionately called Big Little.
Age: 5 years old

Gymnastics - Can jump straight up over 4 feet straight in the air from a standing position and throw his own toy and catch it.
My favorite tricks and treats are: I am an accomplished catcher. I can make high and long airborne jumps from a standing postion. and I just love whipped topping. Mom gives me a little when she is putting some on her coffee in the morning.
Where I hang out: I make sure I show no favoritism to any particular corner or bed or couch. My headquarters is in my own kitty condo, but I can be often spotted lounging on my couch or on the captains bed. I prefer to start my nightly snooze in the bedroom, sleeping next to my Mom.
Late at night I get up to wach TV where I can watch what I want to watch.
My favorite grubs: I love to eat my Bench and Field kibbles, and also love to eat grown-up food with Mom and Dad. (if they let me) I LOVE TUNA!.. Dad insists that I get more than Tuna, but he knows that I will protest anything but TUNA!!I love Tuna!
My pet peeves: Not being able to nibble on a plant on two on the window sill!

What I love about my owners: I love my Mom and Dad because they support and encourage me to be the best I can be.
Mom has been teaching me voice and piano while Dad plays catch with me. They understand me and of course they are very affectionate.
My cat hobbies: I love chasing Mr. Feather- the feather formerly known as Mr. Ostarich - (my pet feather)
I like eating my treats ...needless to say.

How We Met
I was brought together with my family when they were visiting the Bide-A-Wee shelter and I was being brought back from being in the infirmary for a cold. They saw me and then I saw them and what followed was magic. I have been a happy little guy ever since...just like in the movies!! Oh boy...here comes DAD AGAIN WITH THE CAMERA ---TAKE A LOOK AT ALL MY PHOTOS AT THE BOTTOM OF MY WEB PAGE - Gotta run.

It has been a long time since we meowed Mom has been so busy at work and here at home. I just wanted to stop by and say Hi. It is a rainy day here today but that's OK I am busy looking out the patio door watching the chipmonk running back and forth from one garden to the other. He thinks he owns this patio but if I was outside I would show him who owns what. How does it look from your high view of the city? Hope all is well with you my furiend. This sweet kitty joined the angels in February 2013 after losing his battle with complications that developed after being hit by a car the month before. He’d survived having both legs broken & surgery, but was unable to walk & had to drag himself to the litterbox. He was very brave & stayed a very sweet boy during all of the pain, infections, examinations & becoming a foster; but the angels knew that his life would not be a full one with his disabilities & thus called him home. Please pounce by to paw ANGEL CRASH #248838 a vote today so that his foster mom will have a fond memory to cherish & so that this sweet angel can earn the honor of making his star the most brilliant in the night sky tomorrow night.
Congratulations to our newest royal cat QUEEN SPUNKY #161265!! Your campaign about the details of cat shows was stupendous & we learned a lot about how things work for the fabulous show cats. We’re looking forward to some California sunshine during May as you reign from your house on the beach & look forward to hearing more letters to God from beloved pets. Please paw by & meet this beautiful Champagne Point Tonkinese kitty. KAYLIN #251700 is not just a beautiful face she is also a CFA Champion & a Mom. She was hand picked for her new parents by her sister Wendy's breeder when she found out how sick Wendy was. But this sweet girl was already a mom so her new parents had to wait to bring her home. All of her kitties found their furever homes & then she had her Big Girl surgery. She was finally able to come to her new home in January. She wasn't sure if she wanted to stay at first, but her new parents gave her lots of love & support so we are happy to report she is settling in quite nicely. KAYLIN #251700 spends her days hanging out on Mom & Dads laps, playing with her toys, & napping in the sun. She also likes to tear through the apartment at top speed and has been known to do it in the middle of the night too. Her most favorite things to eat are the Roast Chicken that she shares with her parents, and her Blue food. Spending time with his memory yesterday meant quite a few sad moments, yet through the tears my funny little guy still found ways to make me smile. Vote COTD 4/29 COLT, WINCHESTER & KIMBER #251320
This week’s special recognition candidates were found on the side of a road near a wooded area when they were barely old enough to fend for themselves. Their guardian angel was working hard that day & led their new mom to the right spot where she picked up the three mewing furballs & took them home. These precious sibs have stolen the hearts of many CC members by mom’s picture postings on FB & it’s pawsome being able to watch them grow up here in our loving community. Colt and Winchester love to talk to calm Kimber down because she’s very shy, unlike her more outgoing sibs. They love to play with their mouse toys & frequently pick on their bigger sibs throughout the day to see how much they can get away with. You can often find this rambunctious trio of young felines looking out of the window talking to birds, or playing with their light up ball. They’re snugglers too! They’re often found in the lap of mom or grandpa or you can see them snuggling happily together in their kitty bed. The inseparable trio of COLT,WINCHESTER & KIMBER#251320, are also keeping the house hopping with their energy level so let’s help them bounce off the walls a little more by pouncing by to paw them a COTD vote today, Monday April 29th, so they can earn their very first badge of honor tomorrow!

♥ Thank you for Honoring my little PAPPOOSE #10366 with making her win her First Forever Sleep COTD today 4/25/2013!!!
♥ It's true to what you say about how fast the year went, but not to me!!! It seems like Pappoose has been gone way longer than only a year!!! Yes, I have wonderful memories of my little girl.
♥ Pappoose was a very Ladylike girl as when walking in the grass she would walk with such grace that it looked like she tip toed through the grass. She was a petite girl and had several friends and family who also fell in love with her. Yes, my sweet Pappoose captured many hearts♥ not just here at home, but also our CC friends!!! She never got on the counters and rarely on the kitchen table. She was the best well-mannered kitty!!!
♥ When Pappoose first became an inside girl, Rhoamin 2921 took her in being the greatest fur brother to her. He played with her and they got along so well. Heck, Pappoose got along with all the kitties xcept for Sassee 10605 and Callie 239447. Those two bullied her til she was terrified. She wasn't too keen being around our dog Carly, but she put up with her.
♥ MEMORIES, Yes, I have beautiful and fun memories playing with and loving the sweetest little girl a momma could want!!! We also miss our other friends who went to their Forever Sleep in the matter of days like Anna 50686; Callie 89317 & Baby 8574.

I am so honored to be ACOTD. I still can't believe it. You are all the best. I dedicate this badge to all those who lost their furbaby. Don't worry about not congratulating me on my COTD badge I know you are always with all of us as we are with all of you. Hope you are enjoying our spring that has finally come to stay. It was a long hard winter but it is now a thing of the past. Our backyard is all cleaned up and the flower beds are ready for new plants. Mom said she will get some new plants around the middle of May because the nights here are still in the 30's. too cold for new plants. Patter (249085) is a beautiful 6 year old tabby, who enjoys her outside time, ( She is quite the hunter) and loves playing with the catnip toys that her mom gets for her. Her boyfriend, Hedley tells us that she has a great sense of humor and is lots of fun.
Patter & her family support the COTD and COTM candidates and they are frequent visitors to kitties in need of comfort and prayers.

Hi Buddy Ricky
How has your day been.26 here this morning,not been out of the 50's again today and the breeze is really cold out there.Mom took me out,Missy did not want to go,to cold for her,she is kinda pouting at mom for having to brush all the cool whip off her,she does not like to be brushed at all. I got to explore,ate grass,checked out all mouseys bushes,guess they were still in their sleeping bags staying warm,hehe!,I pulled mom right back to the hole where the groundhog went into yesterday,but did not see him today,mom said he might have hard us comming and ran under the barn,so I did not see anything out there but some birds and the outside kittys,Oreo,Spotty always follows us when we got out,me in front,mom behind me,Oreo behind mom,then Spotty behind Oreo,we are all in a line.Did not get to staya long,the wind was just to cold and I don't like to have my fur all blown up,ole wind.So when mom said lets go in,I pulled her in.Made my rounds through the house,all ok,toys all in place,them mom heard a loud booom,and running, I was chasing Baby thoughg the house and pulled out some of her fur,well I sure got a scolding from mom that time,well Baby was sitting on my toy rug,mom picked Baby up and I went to sit in the window to pout,I did not pout to long,I heard mom get the treat bag out for Baby and I peeked around the door,mom said come on Spongie,you can have a treat also,but you better be good and no more wacking today,ok mom I won't,but I had my paws crossed,hehe!Mom got ole pinching stick out and found lots of our lost toys under the furniture,you should have saw all the things she found,cat balls,bells,straws,catnip mice,ole mr.marble,lots of dust bunnies, and even pieces of hot dog Wicket had hid under the tables,they were hard as rocks,hehe,guess he was saving them for later mom said,so I guess the ole not me monster did not eat all our toys afer all!Mom said she sure would hate to see what was under the refrig,but the ole refrig monster lives under there I told mom,stay away from that refrig,he might pull us under there,hehe!Then when mom went to rest,I carried mr.innertube in to visit her,and lay beside mom and put my head on her shoulder,then licked her right on the end of her nose,hehe,mom said well Spongie,at least you did not bite me,but we need to brush those teeth,your breath smells like treats,hehe!Now I'm laying on my toy rug on my back with my paws in the air,Wicket,Cindell,Missy,Baby all napping,evening nappy time here.Miss you buddy,pouncing you out some wormies,send them to you air express,tell mom,dad hi for us,love ya buddy,you ole pal,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,AngelsCome visit me, Angel Gypsy,RIP My Sweet Angel Baby,I Love You, Angel Buddy,Love,Miss You Sweet Boy, "The Gang",Spongie's Siblings,Love,Miss You Buddy, Angel Rambo,I love and miss you my sweet angel boy, K. Hi Ricky,
How are you doing today? It is 55 degrees and sunny here. Very pretty and I was able to spend some time in the yard before lunch. I am still recovering from my eye injury and hopefully getting better every day. One of my sisters scratched my eye a week ago and I have conjunctivitis. Mom has been putting ointment in my eye three times a day. I am taking it pretty well but it is getting a little old by now. Hehehe!!! Today we are all going to watch the Masters. It is such a beautiful golf course and I like hearing all of the birds. I just wonder why I can't see them. Are they hiding in the tv??? Have a great day and I will visit again when I can get Mom to blog for me. She is sooo busy Spring cleaning in the house and the yard and gardens too. It is a rainy, windy and cold day here today in Connecticut. How is your weather? Hopefully it will be nice this weekend because Mom has plans to finish cleaning the backyard. Most of it is done, the patio and furniture was power washed and it looks beautiful. Everything was such a mess after the hurricane and than the snow storm but now it looks great. Mom wants to cut back the flowering srubs and clean out the herb garden and get it ready for planting. Who knows when we will be able to plant anything. Soon we hope. Thanks for the birthday and COTD wishes!!!! I had a great birthday yesterday, Mom took me outside to sit in the nice sun, and I had special treats and tuna, overall a great day, sun and napping!!! Purrfect for me!!!! I was so happy I am COTD today, I told Mom I wanted more tuna and to go out with her again, but she said she has to work so ok to tuna, but no to outside (its nice today, but if you can believe it, we are supposed to get a foot of snow tonight and tomorrow ...YUCK) Hope you have a great day!!! Cute as a button Dixie was dropped off at her future home where she now happily resides with her humans and fursiblings. She has learned how to love from them and quite often you can find her hanging out on her mom or grandmom's lap. She doesn't have any pet peeves but she loves jumping into open drawers. Hi Ricky!
'stuff' has been happening around here! So much,that I am way behind on my blogs! First,thanks on the well wishes for mom's mother...she is now out of rehab as of this past Wednesday,and at home. Then mom spent a lot of time deleting pages and making mew ones...the woman just can't make up her mind! Changes were also made in the cat enclosure! Dad shut off the down stairs part so he could plant some grass in it,but the boys are NOT happy about it! Brother Dixion is no longer confined to the enclosure,as he was so unhappy,he was getting very depressed and aggressive to the others,so mom let him out. Andy(inside boy) kept dashing out the door so much that mom let him GO!,because she feared he would trip her or dad up trying to escape! Now,we live out in the country,and WAY off the road,otherwise mom would never have let them out. Now,about little Moses,the new kitten dad rescued...mom convinced dad that it would be best to find him a good home...other than ours! WHY? Mom really worries about having so many kitties, that if anything ever happened to her or dad,we(shudder)would wind up in a shelter. Most of us are not so young anymore,so you know what THAT would mean,(another Shudder!) I AGREE with mom...no more kits here!! Second,mom has an appointment with an orthopedic doc,as it seems she might have a torn meniscus in her right knee. She has had that surgery on the left,so knows the drill! VOTE WINDY POINT ANGELS # 237234 COTD 4/5
As many of you know, 17 year old Minnie D Purrl crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday 4/2. Minnie was a member of a wonderful family of cats known as the Windy Point Gang.
We’re choosing to copy Dad Mike’s exact words that he used to tell us she had crossed--
“She was losing her battle with Hyperthyroidism and her quality of life had decreased dramatically over the last five days. This afternoon Minnie was assisted by our vet, Dr Madsen and myself on her journey. She was 17 years old when she passed.
It is particularly sad for me because Minnie had given me a litter of seven Easter Kitties when she was only 9 months old. I always celebrated Mother's Day with her on Easter. (Sigh...) This year we celebrated with some baby food that I held for her since she was too weak to stand and eat.
Minnie leaves behind her boyfriend Tiger Mann, who is the last of the original Windy Pointers...and of course, her sad Dad.”
Minnie is now a member of the Windy Point Angels #237234, those members of the Windy Point Gang who are now Angels at the Rainbow Bridge. We learned that this special group of Angels has never received their COTD badge, and we want to change that by making them our COTD winner on 4/6. I hope you had a great Easter. Mom and Dad fumbled together in the kitchen (neither one of them are good cooks MOL!). They baked a ham, sweet potatoes and some kind of a vegetable casserole thingy. There's lots of leftovers. Dasher has his eye on the ham.

Thank you for coming to our page to celebrate our COTD and our birthday with us!! Two years ago we were all alone and now we have our own home, a family and lots of friends all over the world to share our lives with.
We loved each one of the toys, treats, birthday wishes and kind words. They made our day super special. Thanks a lot for the yummy tuna sushi and the pawesome catnip champagne!! Muchas gracias!! We love it!!

A SUPER GOOD DAY TO YOU!
Merry April Fools Day! Mom is home and had to go and pick the dogs up at the vet at 10AM. They stayed at the kennel for Easter Weekend, while mom was with cousin Janet. Mom has been feeling well, for which we are very happy. Then they had their yearly exams before coming home--- he=he! Both are doing well for their ages, 12 and 10 years. Will get results on bloodwork tomorrow. Heartworm test negative. Got shots too. They got stuck with 3 needles each! No April fools. Had their nails clipped also. Mom was happy this morning with an extra morning that she didn't have to get up before 5am. She thought retirement meant sleeping in! Don't bet on it. Have a Super day! Also, when K.Barney retired he did promise to come back with a few more stories and will hope to at least do a couple this month, probably after mom gets done with her taxes and finds help for painting the house and doing other repairs. Dear CC Furiends! You are cordially invited to come and meet Fang & Drooler #236550 on Monday, April 1st! These precious kitties are so thankful to have a loving family after they were abandoned when their previous owners moved away. Their new family, who are long time loyal members of CC, realized that Fang & Drooler faced an uncertain future because of their advanced age and medical conditions; so they decided to take them in and try to find them another home. Fang & Drooler #236550 have now taken their place among the other rescues in the family! They love to hang out with mom, enjoy spending time in their beds or on the couch, & enjoy playtime outside! They both meow their displeasure with car rides, strangers, vacuums, & trash trucks; Fang, in particular, has an aversion to feathers, preferring to play only with a shoelace! These sweet kitties are also dealing with an Auto Immune disorder: Drooler has had 7 teeth removed as a result; Fang suffers from mouth and paw ulcers, and is not too happy that he has to take medications for the ulcers, insulin to treat Diabetes, stress, & will start meds for Hyperthyroidism. Along with Luvbug, Lil Jag, Buster, Smudge, & Angels Kuce, Sphinx, & Dancing Bear, Fang & Drooler #236550 have been given a chance to live with this wonderful family, who are well known to everyone for the love and compassion they have for homeless and abandoned cats! Fang & Drooler #236550 crave love and attention & will be overjoyed to have furiends come by and visit! We hope you will leave a vote so they can have the honor of winning their very own COTD award!

Happy Easter,hope you have had a good Easter Day.Mr.Easter Bunny brought us all some Friskies Pawty Mix,Whiskas Temptation treats,I told mom yesterday that I saw the Ester Bunny hid at the barn!Leaving you some Easter colored catnip eggs,with some Easter cat grass to nibble on,and and a huge basket of Easter wormmies,and mom Lucia a bouquet of Easter Lilies I picked from our Easter Lilly flower patch,and dad Harlan a huge Easter Chocolate Bunny! Been a cloudy cool day here for us,had some hard rain earlier.Got to go out before the rain got here,I ate grasss,explored under my mousey bushes,sat on my rock,watched all the birds and ducks fly over.Missy lay on the steps and ate the grass that was growing up at the steps.Then mom said time to come in,so in we came,I did not even hiss,growl this time.Missy ate and went to her napping spot,I ate,made a few rounds all through the house,no running today,carried mr,innertube around for awhile,then where ever I drop him,mom will put him back on his paper bag for me to get later.Mom gave me a new paper bag to play in,she said I sure could make a lot of racket,well I have to tear a a little hole in the side of it so I can stick my paw out and wack who ever comes by,hehe.Mom gave my ole paper bag to the outside kittys on the porch,Oreo claimed it for his and hopped right in and was sticking his head out the hole,I sat at the door and watched him play in MY paper bag!I said thats ok Oreo,I have a new one to play in,hehe!Then I have followed mom around,when she went to rest I lay right beside her with my little paw patting her on the face,then I napped for a little while,Baby napped on moms tummy,Wicket at her feet.While I was napping with my paw on moms cheek,mom had the bright idea of trying to trim my claws,bad idea mom,she got one did then I woke up and wacked the trimmer right out of her hand,she is not trimming my claws,I need those for outside and climbing a tree!Mom said well at least I got one trimmed, you little stinker,can you believe she called me a little furry stinker!Now I'm pouting cause its raining and I can't go back out on the steps,I'm hid in the bottom of the condo with my back turned toward mom,ole rain.Missy,Cindell,Baby all napping,Wicket wandering through the house meowing,looks like its gonna be a wack for him cause he is not letting me nap!Easter pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.Come visit me, Angel Gypsy,RIP My Sweet Angel Baby,I Love You, Angel Buddy,Love,Miss You Sweet Boy, "The Gang",Spongie's Siblings,Love,Miss You Buddy, Angel Rambo,I love and miss you my sweet angel boy, K. Hi Buddy Ricky
How are you today.Was a nice day here for us.Got to go out for my walk,Missy did not go out again today,she was napping.Ate grass,checked out under all my mousey bushes,but no mouseys out,not even a mole to dig out,everyone must have been on vacation,hehe.Lots of birds flying all around,saw the ducks fly over again,they stay on a fish pond thats above our house.Sat on my rock,then I headed straight back to the barn again,pulling mom behind me,she was not going to go but saw that I was going that way,so off we went,mom said Spongie we can go again today,but tomorrow we have to rest,the ole body,hip is kinda tired from yesterday,but mom we gotta go to the barn, the Easter Bunny might be hid in one of the barn stalls.So we took our time and walked really slow,I like that then I can see whats going on around all over.I looked in all the barn stalls and all over,but mr.Easter Bunny was not there anywhere,I guess he waits until dark to come out.Oreo,Spotty were right behind us,ole mr.cane in front,hehe.Visited all the animals then mom said ok little man,we have to go in,well I hissed a little but I came right in.No racing through the house,the walk kinda tired me out,checked out all my toys,ate my food,looked out the windows,then when mom went to rest I carried mr.innertube and lay him beside the bed for mom.Now I'm looking out the window at the outside kittys,and for the Easter Bunny,I guess I better take me a nap so I can stay up late and watch for the Easter Bunny to come,I have been good so maybe he will bring me some mousey jelly beans!Uh oh Wicket just got scolded for wacking Baby,glad it was not me,I told him he better not do that the Easter Bunny might be watching him!Now Wicket is laying besdie mom,Baby looking at him,Cindell,Missy napping.Love ya buddy,your pal,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.Come visit me, Angel Gypsy,RIP My Sweet Angel Baby,I Love You, Angel Buddy,Love,Miss You Sweet Boy, "The Gang",Spongie's Siblings,Love,Miss You Buddy, Angel Rambo,I love and miss you my sweet angel boy, K.
