Unfortunately the Flames managed to lose on home ice last night. The Blackhawks beat the OC 4-1 and have knocked us out of the playoffs. The OC will be playing our final February game Saturday the 28th against the Minnesota Wild. Saturday is not a game night so summary will be posted here on this page and at the MHL page. We will not be meeting at the rink. Next week we have four games. Wed 3/4/09 we play the Ottawa Senators and Friday 3/6/09 we play the Gryffinder Lions. These games will be played at the rink. hehemm Caser here....In light of a variety of concerns, I would like to propose this setup going forward from this Sunday. We will have active MHL nights on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The NHL games from the day before will be played. On Monday, Thursday,and Saturday just the scores,and the 3 stars will be posted and there will be NO HOST. Goalie stats would be optional. This way, there are free nights and on Saturday, you can go karoake at the Hat Trick Bar or go on a date. Captains, please send this to your teammates for comment at #106152. Casey here.. I would like to limit our MHL playing days until the playoffs (mid April) to Sunday, Wednesday, & Friday. Although we have several excellent editors on the staff, we still need additional hosts, and I don't know about you, but this still takes up a big chunk of time to organize, and then I have to host. Whining done. We would play double headers from the days in between. The games for the evening will be posted at 121904, but whatever games occurred after Sunday would be played on Wednesday as an example. The games stay posted on 121409 until the following Monday and are on your team pages. We would start on Sunday 2/22... Please contact your team members and leave your thoughts /suggestions at 106152. Sincerely, Casey, I guess the new commissioner.....I think this is great. Tony said you might be interested in joining the oc? We would be thrilled to have you! Are you interested in being an active MHL player? We are switching to the Flames by Feb so our record will improve. Mom will be assigning positions as soon as we get enough players. FIRST OF ALL TO BE GIVEN THE PRIVILEGE TO RUN FOR COTM LAST MONTH AND THEN TO BECOME A CANADIAN KING FOR CC! IT IS A DREAM COME TRUE! IT WAS SUCH A MOVING AND EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR ME!....I celebrated my first day of kingship by going to my cottage for a relaxing peaceful weekend ,giving my paws a rest. I was served Merrick's gourmet cat food 'Surf and Turf' and also some grilled salmon from Dad and lots of special treats.The family served a cat cake in my honour I managed to sneak a taste of whipped cream! I am licking my lips!.They catered to my every wish ( well almost ). and played with me all week-end I could really get used to this!....I have really enjoyed catpaigning this last month and meeting new and old cc furiends. It has been hard work but well worth it and very rewarding!...Through the London Ont shelter expansion, the rescue of the Colorado kitties to the shelter and new homes, the kittyathon, and learning about the day in the life of many of our cc families and the many humorous and touching poems it has been a great learning experience too. Thanks to all of the cc famililies that told their stories! We lost Dereck and Tasha this past month They crossed the rainbow bridge On a happier note Lucky was found ,we had a fish wt and name contest and Halloween costume contest. ...I WILL DO MY BEST TO BE KING THIS MONTH AND WEAR MY CROWN AND BADGE WITH RESPECT ,PRIDE AND DIGNITY CARING FOR THE SICK CATS AND HUMANS IN NEED AND HELP KEEP EVERYONE SAFE HERE ON CC....With heartfelt thanks I would like to take a moment to thank each and everyone new and old to cc who stopped by to vote and support me this past month,some voted everyday and others as often as possible and to those who put a hyperlink after their name under their picture thank you so much! cat as you know from reading "How I met my owner," but he is also the infamous caser, one of the original TIMs, MHL TIMtations goalie, MHL Entertainment Chairman, and Tuxie's own HOT Harley-riding hockey player. He is also an insane Audi R8 driver but that's another story and an upgraded car... caser found out his MHL agent was cheating him (and others), and was actually paid alot of tax free catbucks, so he sold his route as a "Garage Inspector for Lost Items" and bought a condo. He hopes to move into his condo soon, but meanwhile he still lives at home and that means helping out. Last week he helped Mom paint her bedroom, and only got a green ear and beige tail for his efforts. This week, they are washing windows, and he managed to only fall into a bin, knock over the water bucket, and trip Mom. OK, Mr. Helpful he isn't. HIs real forte is talking anyway. He talks constantly to Mom while they read the newspaper over coffee. He talks when no one is paying attention to him. He lets you know when he wants to go out and sun, come in and cool off, or eat a snack or meal. And that iPhone is always going off, as agents call him about their clients performing the anthems at the hockey arena. But he is always there for Mom first. When she had food poisoning, caser/Casey stayed by her side all night and day. It was exhausting work, and he was barely able to give her purr therapy after. So until his condo is ready, caser lives at home in his own bedroom with sitting area. being an uncle to the occasional foster kitten (Ginny was the latest), and Mom's pal. Life can't get much better for a kitten with no Mom of his own, and he pulls his ear every day to make sure he isn't dreaming. 24 LIONHEART SEE MY SNOW PICS
... No fish tale vote Nappy # 68109 for COTM or bail !....BELLFIELD VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA INTL.....A day in the life of the Aussie kids starts at 7.00am when Speedy likes to go out to the toilet, then around 9.00am mum gets up and washes our bowls & then goes to the front door to let Speedy back in. Then mum fills our bowl with our favourite breaky of Fancy Feast, then she freshens up our dry food and gives us fresh water. After breaky and it's into the loungeroom or mum's bedroom for a quiet nap for a while. Then around lunchtime we all get up and roam around the house to see what mischief we can get into or if it's a nice day we go out thru the kitchen window into our cattery and have fun chasing the bugs and birds. Mum said if the birds are silly enough to get thru the wire roof them we can chase them MOL. Then we come in about 4.30pm and start meowing at mum for our Dinner, but she always tells us we have to wait till 5pm. Because Speedy is the only one allowed out the front of the house he tends to roam the neighbourhood and also plays in the dusty patches on the lawn so then mum has to dust him off before he can come in again for his Dinner. Once we have dinner we go and find our comfy spots in the lounge and watch tele with mum, once again Speedy gets to go outside until about 8.30pm, then it's in for bedtime, but he finds a comfy spot, mostly on mums bed until mum goes to bed, then she has to shift him so she can get into bed which is around 10.30pm. Me and Skits have always been inside kitties, it's only that Speedy actually came one day and has never left, so mum lets him out most days as she thinks that that is what he is used too. So that's a day in our wonderful, love filled lives, purrs and hugs and kisses to all, The Aussie kids. PS: We don't know much about Pugsley as he is our cousin and lives about 20mins. from our place but his mum tells us he does mostly what Speedy does. 19 LIONHEART PS MOM SICK TODAY
Vote Nap #68109 for COTM !...A DAY in the LIFE of LONGVIEW,WASHINGTON KITTIES... Dad is up first thanks to Olivia. He is up at 4:30am & fills dry food dishes in back room. Around 5:30 he pulls Sassy off moms bed and gives her,her pills (Desamethasone,Pepcid and twice a week her Chemo.) Desi is usually still on bed wiih mom. Mom gets up around 6 or 7 depending on how she is feeling (She has MS) First thing she does is around 7 give Sassy her "Special kitten food" she gets 1/8th of a cup twice a day. Then she is out to the cattery where she is greeted by 9 noisy foster kitties who think they should have their Fancy Feast Right Now!!!!! Nook seems to be the most vocal and then Elton. First thing is pick up all the toys on the floor They are everywhere. It was another party nite. Then mom tries to sweep the floor as there is litter every where and she has so much help. Then as she tries to clean one of 4 litter boxes the fun begins. Elton crawls up in her lap puts his paws around her neck and marks her face... he is relentless He gets his butt rub and pets and mom trys again to finish cleaning boxes. She then moves to Gus's box He will only use ripped up news paper and so she wipes his out and puts in new paper. After the boxes comes Fancy Feast as they all gather around mom pets and loves on all of them. They have to be petted and loved on before they get food.Nina, and Nemus are very shy and mom handles them as much as possible they are getting better. Mom divides out the food with Elton first as he is pushy. Then gives Finn his after everyone is done as Elton needs to be watched cuz he thinks he should have more than the rest. Gus and Mikki don't eat any canned food so they get extra attention the BRUSH.. Gus being a big baby flops down and at 16lbs gets his way.Finn is next. Finn has ringworm so he gets his Prednesone, and then is covered with his ointment. Every one gets fresh water and dry food and mom sweeps again Checks the heat or Air conditioning and loves everyone again before she leaves. When she comes in she washes and changes clothes and it is time for Sassy to have her Insulin....Mom had to learn how to do this as she is terrified of needles but Sassy is her baby. Then it seems like it is nap time again. Olivia and Desi are on Moms bed Sassy is on the couch. Mom has time for her errands and the rescue.(which is her life) Early afternoon it is out to the Cattery again to pet,love,clean and play with everyone. then inside to wake up the girls. Being older they do alot of sleeping. Around 7pm Sass gets her special food again and mom goes out to the cattery for the last time . Fills bowls loves and plays and brushes all that want attention The blk and whites Nook,Nemus and Naya and Nina get treats. Others CATNIP. Adjust the heat and put them to bed. Sassy gets her shot at 8 and then comes to snuggle with mom. ..THE VOTE KEY IS HOT ... IT'S NAPPY # 68109 FOR COTM ... GIVE IT A SHOT !....Hi,here is a day in the life from.. BELGRADE SERBIA INTL.... kitties lives: Our day usually starts between 7-7.30 in the morning depending what time Arslan wakes me up meowing at the bedroom door. Kitties that sleeping with me (Milagros,Lola,Thalia,Kim- sel and Sculy ) usually wake up before that time or at the same time as I do. I first feed upstairs kitties their breakfast usually Royal Canin or Profilum dry food,then I go let the downstairs kitties out of their room and give them breakfast,too. Then I clean all their litterboxes. After I come out of shower ( Kimsel and one of the oldest kitties Mishica keep meowing at the door for me to hurry up) I go to the kitchen followed Kimsel,Mishica,Arslan,Mil- agros,Thalia,Edi and Lily to share their morning treat Whiskas or Kitekat pouch.On a nice day I let kitties on balconies so they can watch what`s going outside,while I have my breakfast. If I have tutoring classes I leave them to play or sleep indoors.Whenever I come back home after being away for more than couple of hours I give them treats so they wouldn`t mind me leaving them alone. I check their litterboxes,clean those needed to be cleaned. We have play time some time during the day or they play,run,climb their cattrees with my supervision. Whenever I am sitting in front of computer Arslan sits next to TV,stares,meows at me to take him into the kitchen and give him Royal Canin exigent,when staring and meowing don`t work he shakes his paw ( a trick I thought him) to get what he wants,it usually works. Lately I had to start separating some of the downstrairs kitties because one of the other cats Victor had started to bully Mimi,Kimsel`s mum. I let downstairs kitties into enclosure whenever I can ,since neighbours are not so nice so I want to be there to make sure kitties are safe in their enclosure. TV is always on,sometimes I even try to choose a channel with what I think might interest them. In the evening depending on my classes I give them their dinner ,refill their waterbowls and clean their litterboxes. When I watch TV in the evening I always have a cat or two or three in my lap or in next to me.Since there is so many of them I always count them just to make sure noone made an escape from the house. We go to bed after midnight,sometimes they stay up later I can hear them playing somewhere in the house.Well,I hope this gave you an idea of our day. Take care,purrs and greetings and a vote. P.S.
