Nicknames: Meowmy calls me Mu, Ash, Princess Ashley Mu, Baby Mu, and/or Pink Nosey Kitty. As of 2010, I have a new nickname... Muley (pronounced Muli).
My Prince Apple calls me "my Lady Mu".
My BFF Gidgee calls me "Ashlili".

Education: I can jump so high and back flip as well when chasing my favorite string toys.
Meowmy recently taught me how to answer “yes” and “no”. I lick my lips affirmatively whenever she asks me a question. If the answer is “no”, I look away from her and don’t bother to look at Meowmy at least after she calls my name 3 times.
My favorite tricks and treats are: I sit beside the pantry door to let Meowmy know I want my canned food. If she doesn't pay attention to me and I get tired of waiting, I go lie down in one corner and pretend to be sick and weak. As soon as she opens a can for me, I run as fast as I could to eat. Trust me... it always works!
I also love it when she chases me. Once she catches me, and scoops me up in her arms, I play dead --- I love it when my drama makes my Meowmy laugh! and Whiskas cat treats, Purina Friskies natural sensations cat treats.
Where I hang out: I love to hang out at my window perch, my (cat) furniture's tunnel, under the chair or table. I sometimes hide behind artificial plants in our living room. I also love to stay at the top of the refrigerator and watch my Mommy while she cleans the kitchen.
My favorite grubs: Wellness Chicken cat dry food. Purina Fancy Feast Medley, Purina ProPlan canned food. Purina Gravy Sensations wet cat food.
My pet peeves: Ground or pate wet cat food, vacuum cleaner.
What I love about my owners: Meowmy plays with me with my favorite string toy. She buys me my favorite foods and buys me toys. She sings me the song "Mu light up my life" and “You are my sunshine”. Every chance she gets, she tells me she loves me so much and I am one of the greatest blessings in her life.
My cat hobbies: I love to lie down or sit on my window perch and watch the birds outside.
Pet motto: “Dogs come when they're called; cats take a message and get back to you later.” "People that hate cats, will come back as mice in their next life." "As every cat owner knows, nobody owns a cat."

How We Met
From my adoption profile: my catparents were rescued from a UPS where the shelter volunteer's neighbor works. The volunteer who later fostered me named me Lemur. (She said my tail reminds her of a lemur). Now, the rest of the story --- My Mom initially wants to adopt a female gray and white tabby. Her name is Belle and Mom loved her white and ash gray fur... hence, the name Ashley. (Mom thought of changing her name from Belle to Ashley). However, she got adopted 5minutes before Mommy arrived at the animal shelter. They told her that new cats will be coming in soon... so she waited. I arrived that day, Mommy looked at me but she wasn't interested. I guess because I was a shy cat at that time. As soon as they put me in my cage, I curled in one corner. She was looking for an outgoing cat --- not a scaredy one. A week later, she came back and I was still there. She came up to me and looked at me closely. I heard her say that I am a beautiful cat that looks like a princess. I heard her asked the volunteer lady if she can play with me. It was funny because when the lady let me out of my cage, a tuxedo male cat started chasing me around. Mommy and the lady thought that he had a crush on me. Anyway, I let my Mom pet me and I played with her. That night, she took me home. Her bestfriend suggested the name Claire for me... but I didn't seem to respond to it well. Then Mom remembered the name Ashley --- she thought that would be a good name for me. Eventhough it was meant for another cat, I love the name... I think I'd love to be named Ashley! It took Mom almost 2wks for me to really warm up to her. Now, I am so attached to her and I love being with her. I love the thought that I have a home now with a loving and caring Mommy like her. I couldn't be happier!

The rumble of 11 Harleys can be heard as
the Hairballz Rainbow Riders approach Ashley’s house.
Cyndee, Dasher, Kiska, Kuzi, Q. Lola, Mallow, Thundie, Snowy, Vika, Zoe Monique and Ammie park their bikes, take off their helmets, gather their goodies, and pounce up to the door and ring the bell.
Ashley’s Mom comes to the door, and Ammie asks if the Gang could see Ashley and give her some goodies to cheer her up?
They have some catnip chicken soup, a comfy & toasty thermal blanket for Ashley’s bed, and a catnip toddy for bed time. As they leave, each one of the Gang gives Ashley a kitty kiss & paw hug…we have all of our paws crossed you will be feeling better soon and on the road to recovery.
