Winter is officially here on December 22nd but our first snowfall came too early. Last year, it fell around Thanksgiving. Crazy forecasts sometimes are proven wrong. Always hoping winter will be mild.

Good Night Bailey,
Boy, your Mom is like the Energizer Bunny, she just keeps going and going and going!! MOL Mom just about had a heart attack when they returned home Wednesday afternoon to find the front door of our house standing wide open!!! Her first thought was that she had lost ME forever. When she turned the van into the drive I came from behind the house. Dad jumped out and ran to get me, Mom headed to the front door. She had seen me so knew I was safe, NOTHING in the house had been touched!! The neighbors said they saw no one near our house so we believe what happened was either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning the powerful winds blew the front door open. When Dad brought in the Avon order or a package that was delivered on Saturday, he must have closed the door and not checked to see if it was truly locked or just pulled closed. Mom has a habit of checking all doors house or car to make sure they are locked. Of course Dad said Mom must have left it unlocked but Mom pointed out to him that she had not been near the front door since long before our trip. Anyway, Mom has been praying and thanking God ever since she got home. She told Dad that all that mattered was that we still have ME and I am safe that had someone come into the house they could have everything just leave me alone. Grandma said that I probably hung out in the back yard around the back door or under Mom's car cause those are familiar to me. Mom thinks because I am only allowed in the back yard when she takes me out without my leash that I probably thought I was just out for a walk and stayed where I was suppose to. I did not want Mom to put me down for close to an hour. I was purring so loudly and my little heart was just racing but it calmed down to normal as Mom held and loved on me. I am so happy Mom is home!!! Mom wishes I could talk and were able to tell her exactly what happened and when!! Mom feels it was like a miracle that other than the door being open and me waiting for them OUTSIDE, everything was as it was when they left. You can be assured Mom will always check the doors before they leave the house and me alone again!! Anyway, everything is well now and we are getting ready to go to sleep. After all this not very good excitement I am ready for another long night of rest. We hope you all are doing well. We love you all, Wolfie and Mom Linda

Mom used to have Arabs but she now has a Morgan. They are very easy keepers and mom has to be careful with how much grass he gets to eat. We will keep Maraba in our prayers. Yesterday mom had to call a tow truck to come to the house and take dad's truck into the shop. That was a bit of a spendy ride into Portland but the dealership is going to pay the tow bill so that made mom happy. They get to pick it up tonight after work. I didn't like mom leaving yesterday and was really upset when she didn't get home until 9pm. It is pouring outside again and the wind is picking up so it's going to be a blustery day again. Hope you have a catterific day!
