How We Met

We were in PetsMart one day in 2006 shopping, and I wandered over to look at the cats from the local humane society. She was the only adult cat, and at 5, she'd given up hope of ever finding her furever home. Her previous owners had dumped her, unwanted, after they had had a baby. To make matters worse, Boo, a long furred cat, was COMPLETELY declawed- front and back. She lay curled up in a little ball, her back to the glass, because she knew after six months there in the store, and even longer at the humane society, no one wanted her.Kittens came and went, and she stayed and stayed. She'd stopping eating or grooming. Then came the day I saw her, and I knew she was destined to come home with me.

Us kitties think EVERYDAY is Sunday...we sure know how to rest, don't we! Daddy did quite well with Cliffy going to the hospital last Thursday. Cliffy was really on his mark, and Momma was very proud of him. He is a GREAT Guide Dog and definitely a "keeper". Daddy's swelling has gone down in his legs and ankles, although the sprained ankles are still quite painful and hard to walk on. Momma has been practicing on her laptop, although this is being done on the desktop. Just easier for her right now. That keyboard on the laptop, and then no mouse is really getting to her! MOL! It's beautiful here today! 71 degrees at almost 11am is wonderful! Maybe Mom will bar-b-que later! See, my Momma does everything cause of Daddy being blind. Most people don't even THINK what it would be like in a blind world. Like, they cannot go to movies because Momma can't talk to Daddy and tell him what is happening. Did you ever think of that? Maybe next month, after my catpaign is over Mom will write some more about what it is like to live in a black hole. Well, on to the Recipe for today! Sure sounds great to me!

7 oz mashed sardines
1/4 cup dry non-fat milk
1/2 cup wheat germ

Mix ingredients. Roll into 24 small balls. Placed on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees until brown.
As always, please pray for our sick kitty households and keep them snuggled in your hearts. Happy Birthday, Adoptiversaries, and Rainbow Bridge Anniversaries to all who are celebrating. I cannot thank each and every one of you enough for supporting me this month. I am getting excited now to possibly wear the crown and be your Queen of June ♥ King Shadow has done such a wonderful job reigning with dignity, love and compassion. THANKS TO EVERYONE FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART ♥

Love and Blessings,

Hello! How have you been my fur-friend? I miss you a LOT. Sorry I've been gone too long. Mom's real busy at work she couldn't blog for me. Whenever she has free time, she spends it playing w/ me. She's also a prominent farmer in Facebook. She said being a farmer somehow takes her stress off work. MOL! She recently got a dog she named after my angel dog brother Jara. The dog lives in mom's farm at FarmVille. MOL!
Did you hear news about the cat that was nailed to a pole by it's paw somewhere in Chicago? A nice lady rescued the cat but he died after a few days. Mom cried so hard when she heard about it. She was sad for a few days. Mom and I hope the police will find the person(s) who did it. Maybe they should be nailed to a pole as well by one of their feet. Leave them there, wait for a cat to pass by. Maybe the cat will rescue them. Mom just couldn't understand why and how some people could do cruel things to helpless animals like us. Mom believes that there should be a tougher law on animal cruelty.
Sad news: Mom's friend/co-worker just recently lost their cat. Her husband accidentally ran over the cat and killed her instantly. She's about 10yrs old, short-haired, white with patches of light gray fur. She's a beauty. They named her Killer because when she was young, she used to hunt mice, birds, and snakes. Line them up in front of their doorsteps. She lives in their garage and usually greets them in the morning, stays clear all the time when their car engine starts. For some reason, yesterday morning they didn't see her. Apparently she got into their truck's tire. It was a big question why she didn't run away when he started the truck. Mom's thinking maybe Killer was sick and couldn't move fast enough. They feel really bad and misses her. Mom said she can see the pain in her friend's eyes. Mom cried too. She still is sad. She will miss Killer when she visits them.
I got to go for now. I am leaving you w/ spaghetti mice-ball, pizza topped w/ tilapia fillet, shredded salmon salad, a gallon of homemade vanilla catnip flavored mice-cream and a large pitcher of catnip mice-tea. Mom Annie and I miss and love you.

Come visit me, Ashley Muning.

I'm back!!!
Surprise! Surprise! Hello my dearest fur friend! I miss you! Finally Mom Annie got the message when I kept on stalking her whenever she’s home. I convinced her to blog for me… hah! It’s been a long time… I told her I don’t want my fur friends to forget about me. So here I am… I am back!!! We are not going to blog as often as we used to but we’ll try our very best to blog at least once a week.
Mom and I flew out of AZ last Nov. 14. Would you believe that she drugged me to get me to sleep the entire flight to NC? How awful that was, do you think? She and my vet devised a plan that Mom should give me ½ of a valium (for cats) at least ½ hour before our flight. Mom was successful in mixing the pill into my wet food. I calmed down the entire flight but didn’t fell asleep at all. Hah! Am I a brave girl? Anyway, the people who saw me all thought that I am pretty (blush!). They praised me for being a good, calm kitty throughout the flight. Mom’s so proud of me (she always is anyway. MOL!).
For 2wks, we stayed at Mom’s co-worker’s house. Ms. Ginger has a cat too named Killer. She’s more or less 10years old with a white and ash gray fur. She is gorgeous and Mom fell in love with her. They named her Killer because when she was a kitten, she used to hunt for mouse and would line them into the front door. MOL! Every AM and PM Mom would feed her.
Our stuff got delivered last Dec. 1 but we didn’t sleep in our new place until Dec. 3. I love our new place. We have a private entry and downstairs are a foyer and a closet that serves as storage. Then there’s stairs. Upstairs is our unit. I love running up and down the stairs. In fact during our first night there, I was so excited playing… then I fell down the stairs. I wasn’t hurt but I got really scared. Mom was so worried she held me so close and tight. I have been careful since then. Mom put my litter box downstairs and she’s so proud of me because even in the middle of the night, if I have to go, I go downstairs. I have food and water there too so I eat before going upstairs. Then I eat again once I’m upstairs. Hey, I get tired running those steps. MOL!
Mom got me an early Christmas present. It is a cat window perch. (She donated the old one before we left AZ.) Oh, Mom saw a Cardinal for the first time. She said it is a gorgeous red bird. I haven’t seen one yet but I would love to. I miss my birdies friends in AZ. They are doves and grackle that hangs out in our courtyard. I wonder if they miss me too. Mom’s thinking of putting a bird feeder in our patio so that we can attract birdies then I can have birdie friends soon.
Well my dearest fur friend, I got to go for now. I will blog again soon. I would love to hear from you. I miss you so much. Mom and I love you.

Come visit me, Ashley Muning.

Well, first of all let me con-CAT-ulate all of the recent COTD, COTM and any other award winners the past few weeks, and welcome to the newbies here to the channel as well. And let me leave my condolensces to the families of those who have passed on over to the beautiful Rainbow Bridge. May you find your peace.
Now on to my weekly blogging and well, let me apologize for being so very late once again. Mommie & Poppie just seem to have more issues than they can handle these days. They put Poppie on BP meds but the rest of his blood work and lab works all came back really well. Mommie however is a different story. She had to have an ultra-sound done on her "female organs" because the doctor told her that even though the PAP and all came back okay, there was still unresolved problems that cant be detected except only by ultra. Mommie was very upset because having no insurance well, she knew she couldnt afford it but Poppie told her to go and have it done that she has went this far already. Luckily the PAP & stuff were covered by the BreasTest program through the HEalth Department here. Any way she got the results back on that yesterday which to Mommie was no shock at all because she already knew she had endometriosis and fibroids all around and about in there. But they want her to go to her regular gynecologist now for further reviews and possible surgery. Mommie has no clue what to do. A friend on FACEBOOK suggested she try to go to the DFCS department and try to sign up on Emergency MEdicaid. Mommie says she has never heard of that before. lets keep our paws crossed this helps. She also went for blood/lab work last Friday but almost passed out in the process so went back yesterday to have it done and after an hour and a half of her lying down and being poked more than 5 times in different places on her hands they finally managed to get enough out, or so we hope. She drank water and all until she was water logged but apparantly that did not do any thing for her tiny and deep set veins. *SIGH* Well, Saturday she has to go to her Great-Nephews 3rd birthday party. It isn't until November 3rd but due to Halloween and his birthday falling in the middle of the week they are having it early.
Now as for me and myself and I, well, LOL! I am just trying to keep Mommie from getting all tense and upset over her situations and all. I seem to be having an allergy to either the food I am eating or something and may have to see the vet for that. Sometimes I run and make a leap out the door when Mommie & Poppie go outside or something and they have to run me down and get me back in. Mommie says she just does not trust me enough like she did all of her other kitties to let go in and out. She thinks I will tend to venture off. I get to watch them cover the air conditioner today for winter by sitting on the back of the couch and sticking my head through the blinds since I cant go outside with them. Mommie says it is something that should have already been done but wi

Hi Boo-Boo and Bug,
I have asked Mom to try to blog my friends to let them know that Grandma is doing well. Her surgery went great, thank you so much for your prayers. Mom will be with Grandma at least a week more and I am missing her soooo very much and she misses me as well. She has managed to get a few videos posted of me. I now have 23 videos posted so ask your Mom to just do a search under Wolfie and it will pull all 23 of them up. Mom and I would love it if you left a comment on the ones you view. The DSL connection at Grandmas has been mostly out and the repair guy came out and all but it keeps going out, so I told Mom to just do a c/p to my friends so they would hear from us, that they will understand. Mom will be home for only two weeks when she and Dad will be going on a cruise. She has asked her friend Ms. Brenda to keep me for her since she does not trust Grandpa. He showed his rump on our vacation and told the kids that a cat is only good for slinging against a wall or fence and that he used to enjoy doing that when he was young. Dad refuses to talk to Grandpa since then either. Even though Mom keeps telling him he is wrong to lower himself to the same level and that he will regret not talking to his Dad once he is gone. Mom did bring me to Grandmas with her last Saturday night (the 29th) and brought me home on Sunday. I hated it there! Grandma has three girl cats and they are MEAN. I stayed in Moms bedroom and refused to come out!! It was good to be with Mom though. Mom says it breaks her heart the way I look at her when she drops by to visit for a few minutes. I can not wait for her to be home!! I sure hope all is well at your home and you are enjoying life. Grandmas friend's daughter was in a bad wreck on Thursday and they don't expect her to live much longer, she is 16, please pray for a miracle and that Teresa will pull through. Thank you. Please forgive our quiteness, it has not been something Mom has been happy with!! Hope to hear from you soon. Mom and I miss and love yall, Wolfie and Mom Linda

Good Evening BooBoo,
I sure have missed meowing at you - it has been months. How have you been? I have had a really great summer - mostly lounging out on the lanai enjoying the fresh air and watching the critters. It has been hot and humid with rain almost every day. No hurricanes yet.
How has your weather been this summer? Have you been doing anything of interest? I would love to hear from you again.

Greetings my friends. Time for my weekly blogging. First of all and as always, Con-CAT-ulations to all of the COTD, COTM and any other honorees, and welcomes to the newbies, and my sympathy and condolensces to those who have made their journey to the bridge within the past week.
Well, what an awful week it has been around here. Meowmie got up last Friday with a terrible case of inner ear. And to beat it all she had to baby sit!! Luckily, Poppie was around so he was very good to care for both Meowmie and Izayiah too. Not as good a cook as Meowmie but he tried and made the effort and both me and Meowmie and Izayiah appreciated it. Meowmie didn't get rid of it until the next morning too. It was her worst case ever. Then if that wasn't enough, her vacuum cleaner went Ka-PUTT so Poppie had to go out and buy a new one. She wanted a canister type but Poppie got what he could afford and Meowmie was pleased any way JUST to have a vacuum!! Well, then she got in the bathroom and pulled some old caulking from around the tub and it was HORRIBLE!! After 2 yeears and the stuff STILL was not set up and completely DRY!! YUK!! And that old metal stuff, strips or whatever you call it all it is fit for is to rust. Meowmie was very aggitated!! She and Poppie went to Home Depot (as Meowmie calls it Home DEE-POT!) and got some PVS lattice strips to replace the metal strips and some caulking that dries in an hour especially for the tub & shower. This local hardware store here didn't even know what the heck Meowmie & Poppie were talking about yesterday when they went to get just a few odds & ends, and Poppie and Meowmie told them about it. Never heard of the stuff!! Meowmie also found some Epoxy appliance paint that you BRUSH on too for her refrigerator where the doors are rusty. Every one else told her they just made it in spray and Meowmie told them that who would want to spray paint INSIDE the house unless they had a darn good vent system, and you wouldn't wanna move the refrigerator out on the porch either and let your food all spoil and ruin, unless as Meowmie said you had a good outside plug in!! LOL!! Any way that is about it for the week. Poppie is aggitated right now too about his weed eater. Went to have it repaired and run like a charm at the fixin' place then gets home with it and tries to weed eat and cant get it to run as it should. Oh well, so much for this week. Every one take care and have a blessed weekend and wonderful week and will be back with you next weekend. LUVS 2 U ALL!!

#*•:*'''*:•COTD WED8/12 VOTE #135423 Sniffles!''*
>^..^<*~ Please give your COTD VOTE of support WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12, to a very special candidate SNIFFLES #135423! Mr. Sniffles, AKA Momma’s Boy, is just the cutest and friendliest striped ball of fur and love! Amazingly, Sniffles was a little kitten found abandoned outside the Head Start building, skinny and cold. Being an animal lover, his adopted Mom took him home, cleaned him up and fed him, posting “LOST” flyers around the area. When no one claimed Sniffles, she could not deny this affectionate adorable purr machine, and claimed him as her own!

SNIFFLES #135423, of Andrews, Texas, is so loving, he purrs constantly and lets the little kids love on him. The most heartwarming part of Sniffles story is the fact that his Mom had never thought of herself as a cat person before Sniffles entered her life. She had 4 dogs she loved with all her heart. They can all be found on Dog Channel. Sadly, she shared with members of the DC community that “on March 24th, 2009, a neighbor took their short lived lives into his hands and carelessly ended their stay on this beautiful planet of ours ... guess out of pure anger and hatred, he chose to retaliate by poisoning all of my darling babies using bait laced with rat poison. When I discovered them lying on the ground, I rushed them all to the vet. My babies, Tango and Cash, died almost immediately after our arrival to the vet's office. Freckles and Maverick managed to cling to life for another eighteen hours before taking their final breath. They have all been brought home with me and laid to rest on our farm where they belong and will always be remembered... Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers...”~(DC dogs Angel Freckles (DC#30850), Angel Tango (DC#78185), Angel Cash (DC#78186) and Angel Maverick (DC#101024).

As an animal lover, her heart was so hurt from the loss of her 4 family dogs to a cruel neighbor, she did not think herself ready to open up her heart to another fur baby when this helpless deserted kitten meowed into her life. SNIFFLES #135423, with his loving ways, won her over, and now she loves him unconditionally and furever! True to Sniffles loving pursonality, he and his Mom often post welcome blogs to new kitties on CC! Lets show Mr. Sniffles and his Mom how special they are for sharing the healing benefits of a loving heart by giving SNIFFLES a much deserved COTD vote of support!

Mr. Sniffles & his Mom thank all you awesome CC cats for helping Sniffles #135423 with a COTD vote on WED AUGUST 12th!

Thanks also for your faithful support of the August COTM candidate ANDERSON #41067! We gather together and cheer:

This is Fidel & CPK’s, along with Casey of Mouse Hockey fame, on behalf of the Catpaign & Mews Room #46883, leaving you a catnip dusted vote of appreciation and, in honor of Sniffles, your very own cat porcupine ball toy! Have FUN!

Hi BFF Boo
CC has been acting up a lot lately. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. It gives us the meows error page. My secretary (Mom) doesn’t have much patience so if we get the error twice or thrice, she logs out and doesn’t log in again until the next day. Today, it seems to be working fine though… hopefully it will be like that always. Anyway, we’re still having terrible weather here… over 100 degrees. Argh! (Ashley pretending to faint… Ashley’s on the floor not moving for awhile…) Mom’s getting lots of terrible headache lately because of the heat. Her doctor advice her to drink lots of water and be careful… it seems like Mom’s experiencing heat exhaustion when she gets exposed to the heat even for just 5 minutes.
I’m still wearing my pink shirt. Mom told me that while she’s at work, the birdies came to visit her office. They told her not to take out the shirt because they think I am prettier wearing it and they just love me. I don’t know if that’s true but I have to agree that I look pretty in pink. Oh, I got kicked out of the bedroom the other night. I started to play with the computer cables and Mom doesn’t like that because I might get electrocuted. She tried to stop me but the more I played and I even tried to chew on it. So Mom said, ok that’s it. Out of the bedroom… you’re being stubborn again Ashley. MOL! In the morning I follow her all over the place and been meowing a lot. She said my meow is very cute because it is a very soft meow… kind of like a meow from a very weak, dying kitty. How rude! Anyway, Mom’s been enjoying the entries for the lazy cats of summer contest. We’ve been looking at each one. She absolutely loves every single entry. Mom has taken lots of lazy pictures of me too.
Well my dear furiend. I hope you have a blessed week ahead of you. Here’s blackened chicken and cheese quesadilla w/ bacon, griddled pork pot stickers w/ sweet and sour catnip glaze, and salmon nicoise salad with buttermilk catnip dressing. Mom Annie and I love you my dear. Meow at you again soon.

Come visit me, Ashley Muning.

Tomorrow Grandma is having open heart surgery so PLEASE keep her in your prayers. This coming month may be a quite one as well, but we will blog as we can.

I have new videos up, just do a search under Wolfie and be sure to go to the second page as the one of me as King is at the BOTTOM of the second page. Also, when I visited SpongeBob week before last I did a video of just him and got it posted. Just do a search under Spongebob to pull it up. I also have new pictures at the bottom of my page. Mom submitted a few of my photo shoot pictures to the local Humane Society in hopes that I will win one of the twelve pin up spots on the 2010 calendar, so keep your paws crossed for me. Even if I don't win, I still have my photos as a thumbprint somewhere in the calendar.

Always remember that I am thinking of you and keeping all my friends and their families in my prayers each day. Mom and I are trying to touch base with everyone.

We love yall,

Wolfie and Mom Linda

Hey Boo Boo!
Anderson says I am so very thrilled to have been chosen for this wonderful honor to run
for the special priviledge of COTM! To follow the outstanding kitties who have earned this prestigious award is a dream come true. The platforms
that have been offered have been very impressive and trying to find a unique and interesting format for August has been challenging.

I have noticed in visiting friends on CC that profiles state basically four ways kitties have come to their forever homes: 1) breeder, 2) shelter/rescue, 3) stray, and 4) family and friends. I must thank
my catpaign manager, brother Dean, who has helped lay the groundwork by requesting information from friends in a survey. We sent out over 35 survey requests to kitties we noticed came from a shelter or rescue, as stated in their profile. We were very pleased with the response we
got. Obviously many kitties and their pawrents are very proud of their shelters, as well they should be, and provided us with lots of details and web sites.
We found this information very interesting and I plan to use my daily blogs to describe different shelter/rescues from around the country,
mentioning which kitties originated from them. I hope you will all find this enlightening.

I am also requesting you all support the Animal Rescue Site, ARS, daily. Clicking on this site provides cats and dogs at shelters with free food.
There is no purchase necessary. The ARS also has beautiful jewelry, clothing and gifts for all occasions at very reasonable prices. Each
purchase provides more food for shelter animals. Mom has been shopping at the ARS for years. Please take a moment to check out the ARS and add it to your favorites to click every day. www.theanimalrescuesite. com Thank
you very much. This helps countless shelters and only takes a minute.

In addition to posting data from shelter web sites, we will be assigning a star rating system. One * terrible, two ** poor, three *** satisfactory,
four **** good, and five ***** excellent. Stars will be assigned by evaluation of eight services: 1) adoption, 2) lost & found, 3) investigations of cruelty, neglect and abuse, 4) rescue & emergency services, 5) reducing tragic overpopulation, 6) humane education, 7) foster care program, and 8) spay/neuter services. Also
consideration will be given for no kill status, non-profit, fund raising programs and # of
animals receiving services. This is only our assessment awarded on details posted on web sites. Not all sites include the same information,
so a low star rating does not necessarily mean the shelter is not effective.

I am so very excited to be catpaigning for the honor of COTM throughout August and look forward to visiting you all daily. I hope you will enjoy
my blogs and I look forward to your support. Thank you. Peace and love. Leaving a vote. Have a purrfect day. Kitty kisses. Anderson #41067

Miss you so much BFF
Yay! We’re back to over 100 degrees this week! ARGH! (Ashley pretending to faint…) Last weekend was hot and humid. Saturday, Mom was busy running errands and then cleaned our place. As soon as she was done, she played with me and I snuggled with her at night. Sunday, she went to the Church’s first service, gym afterwards and then went home. We both took a nap. I’m still wearing pink shirt. I must admit I look real pretty on it… but I still think that it is silly. My little white paws are still crossed hoping Mom will take it out on me SOON!
Here’s some poached fish with buttermilk catnip dressing, cheesy tilapia pita, catnip green tea, frosted catnip flakes and catnip gelato. Mom Annie and I love you.

Hello BFF Boo, Bug, Mom Jojo
Still HOT, HOT, HOT in here!!! Our high today is 114… we’re still going to hit over 100 degrees in the next 2 months. ARGH!!!
I got mad at mom Saturday because she was out almost all day. She woke up early to take her car for a scheduled oil change. She went to Petco afterwards and played with their kittens for adoption. Mom said the volunteer lady is very nice. She was so happy when mom handed her a bag of my unwanted toys. Mom donated the toys that I don’t pay attention to. She said it would be better to give them to cats that doesn’t lots of toys or doesn’t have any at all. Mom also gave a couple of new toys she bought from Petsmart’s clearance sale. When mom got home, she stayed for an hour or so then left me again. She went to Scottsdale Fashion Square mall to window shopped. (I don’t know if I’ll believe her because when she got home, she didn’t bring home any windows at all!!! Hmpt!) When she decided to stay home, she got busy cleaning. I was either left alone or ignored all day! I was mad! I let her know it. She apologized, gave me lots of kisses and hugs. She’s too smart to know the way to tickle my little heart so I ended up snuggling at her at night. I love and miss her so much.
I was a lot happier yesterday. Mom left early for Church, grocery shopped a little bit. When she got home, we both took a nap. I was worried she had a terrible headache because of the heat. I slept next to her to watch her closely. She watered our patio plants later in the afternoon. When she asked me if I want to go outside, I ran away from her. Gee!!! What was she thinking? I never dreamed of becoming a baked cat!
Here’s some catnip salad w/ shredded tuna drizzled w/ buttermilk catnip dressing, chicken and salmon casserole, and ratty road mice-cream sprinkled w/ catnip flavored marshmallows.
P.S. would you be kind enough to visit and vote for my adopted CC baby brother Toby #122914? Thank you so much!

Come visit me, Ashley Muning.

Well first of all here is a vote for you today, and for those who have recently won COTD and COTM honors along with other honors CON-CAT-ULATIONS to you!! And of course and as always my heartfelt compassion and condolensces to those who have crossed the bridge lately too. My purr-ayers are also with those who are sick or ill at this time and WELCOME to the newbies!! NOW---on to the past week. Thank you all for your kind words for Poppie's cousin who was killed. Also thanks to all of you who have joined Meowmie over on Facebook and MySpace too! If you haven't found her yet and would like to just let me know and I will give you the info you need. Well, what an exciting week around here. Poppie left Thursday to go on his yearly fishing trip to COlorado for two whole weeks!! Meowmie just got back in yesterday from staying the weekend with her daughter and Grandson too and is planning on going back down about Wednesday or Thursday again. She said she isn't even going to try to stay with her brother and wife because she did last year and it was the most boring trip of her life! She said visiting them is like visiting a morgue! Her sister-in-law is like the dead warmed over and as soon as her brother leaves in the evening to go to work, she pulls all the blinds down, curtains together, closes all the doors, goes in the back bedroom, falls down on the bed and that is where she stays until after he gets home after midnight and never moves! Meowmie said she was just absolutely bored and exhausted from boredom! So she isn't even gonna attempt it this year. But it sure is strange that when you mention camping or fishing around her she sure does spring back to life! BLEK!! Meowmie hates those things!! Any way, me and Meowmie and Fannie-Ferret are having a good time just to ourselves. Meowmie misses Poppie being around though but at least he gave her some $$$ to spend so she has to go to the store after awhile and buy a new phone for the bedroom. She found a nice cheap one with call ID and all for just $8.00 at FREDS. She has 1 regular phone in the den but wants one in the bedroom, and then a cordless in the living. Well, better go for now. Talk to you all later and have a wonderful week!!

Recently we asked you to check with your Moms and Dads to see what one word they would use to describe you. Wow—did we ever get a lot of descriptive words! We’ve posted the complete list on the Mews Room Page #46883, but thought we’d share some of the most popular responses we received personally. If we had counted all the different variations of the word “Love”, and totaled them together, those would have won paws down. But since we kept each word exactly as we received it, here are the top words. The words Sweet, Loving, and Precious were reported by 6 kitties. The words Princess, Lover, and Affectionate were reported by 5 kitties. The words Devoted, Feisty, Mama, Quiet, Spoiled, Loyal, and Shy were reported by 4 kitties each. Several other words were reported at least two or three times, and we received a number of unusual responses. Be sure to check out the whole list on the Mews Room Page. Thanks to all of you who participated in our little unscientific poll. We really enjoyed hearing from each and every one of you and we hope we didn’t leave anyone’s response off the list!! Oh no! No electricity for days???
Sorry to hear that BFF Boo. How's Mom by the way? Is she feeling any better lately? We sure do hope so. How's Bug?
It’s still gloomy here but the temperature didn’t change at all. Our weather forecast still says our highs will be 110. ARG!!! Last night we had thunderstorms but it didn’t rain anyway. Mom and I didn’t play with the chunky fish string toy but she gave me my new favorite treats: Friskies Natural Sensations chicken flavor. She gave me a few pieces and I gobbled it all up. MOL!
Mom and I hope and pray that Simba the orange kitten gets a furever home soon. When Mom checked online a few days ago, she found out that he’s still available for adoption. I think Mom really likes him. I think I like him too and will love him. When Mom asked me what name we should give him, I gave her the approval for “Orange”. So Mom figured out we’ll name him “OB”… short for “Orange Boy”. Too bad our apartment complex doesn’t allow kittens… they allow a cat and dog that is at least a year old. Oh well… rules, rules, rules.
My dear furiend, I hope you are having a purrfect and blessed day.

Hey there BFF Boo
We’re back to our regular blogging. Mom’s quite better now. She still feels bad about my great Grandmaw’s passing but knowing she’s with the Lord now comforts Mom and her family. Thank you so much for the love and prayers you sent us. We greatly appreciate it.
Wooo!!! Our weather here is up for baking! We’re hitting over 100 degrees everyday… and it’s a dry heat! Our high today will be 115. Mom feels bad for homeless pets out there. Yesterday at 2PM while Mom was driving, she saw a man at the side of the street. Mom feels so sorry for the man. He was standing there holding a store banner (about ongoing huge discounts) and its 115 degrees without bottled water to keep him cool at least. Mom said even if they pay her $500 for an hour to stand at the side of the street in weather like that, she wouldn’t accept the job. She said she probably wouldn’t live to spend the money anyway. She’ll probably die of heat stroke within 15-20minutes.
Mom promised me that she’ll keep track of Simba. We are hoping he’ll get a furever home soon and if not, if he’s still available by December or January, we’ll take him. He’ll be much older then. Mom has a very good relationship with the apartment mgmt. and she doesn’t want to strain that by breaking the rules (they don’t want puppies or kittens… it has to be at least a year old). Mom explained to me that the apartment’s staff (including the manager) is just following the rules as well. We’ll see what happens next. I will surely let you know if we get a new cat home.
Here’s a gallon of vanilla rainbow mice-cream sprinkled with lots of candied catnip. I’ve included a dozen of catnip mice-cream cone and a sweetened catnip dipping sauce. I hope you are having a blessed day. Love and care, Ashley and Mom Annie.

Come visit me, Ashley Muning.

Hi there BFF Boo!
Good meowning! Happy Monday! I told my secretary (Mom) to do some blogging over the long weekend so that she won’t be cramming responding to them come Monday. Well, she didn’t listen. Now we have lots of blogs to catch up with. Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Moms just doesn’t listen to us kitties. MOL!

It’s been way too hot here lately. Aside from over 100 degrees temperature, it has been humid too. Last Friday afternoon at around 5:30PM, Mom saw one of our neighbors running from the parking lot to her apartment unit. She told Mom it was too hot and she couldn’t stand it. Mom responded saying “yeah, it feels like I’m inside an oven and slowly being baked!” MOL!

Mom went to Petsmart yesterday and bought me some canned food and also a big white fluffy mousey toy. As soon as she handed it to me, I played with it. I tossed it up in the air, chased it, and bit it several times. I have one similar mousey but its dark gray. This one is white… Mom calls it “Ashley the Mousey”. MOL! She visited Paw Placement, the no-kill shelter where she got me. Their adoption center is inside the Petsmart store. Mom looked at the kitties for adoption and she got her heart broken again because she can’t rescue all of them. On the way out, she noticed that another local no-kill shelter is having their “adoption day” on the opposite corner. They have a few doggies and lots of kitties… probably 10-12 cats mostly kittens. She looked at every single one of them and then concentrated on one of the cages that have 4 kittens (they all came from the same litter.) There were 2 orange kittens, 1 orange and white, and 1 grayish and a bit of white. They are all so beautiful and sweet but 1 particular orange kitty got Mom’s attention. The volunteer lady noticed Mom and the kitty kept on getting Mom’s attention so she let the kitty out. The kitty is 2 ½months old and is a male named Simba. Mom held him for about 15-20 minutes while she talked to the volunteer lady. Simba calmly rested in Mom’s arms and let Mom pet him. Mom said he stole Mom’s heart. Mom asked for the shelter’s calling card and is seriously thinking about adopting Simba to be my baby brother. She has to talk to the apartment manager first and see if they will allow a kitty. (They allow at least a year old). Mom may pretend that Simba is a gift from a friend and she can’t turn it down. One of these days, I will be a big sister… maybe soon. Mom told me I should teach my baby brother how to be good just like me.

Well, I got to go for now and will meow again soon. I hope you are having a purrfect and blessed day.

Come visit me, Ashley Muning.

Hi BooBoo and Family,
We keep your Mom in our prayers. Hope she is feeling better. Mom really was zonked out on the 1st and got few blogs out then yesterday I had a photo shoot (Mom spent a fortune but she got a CD with them all on it, plus even got one 16 X 20 of me as an angel.) Dad has no idea how much she spent but she considers it her retirement present to herself - tee hee. Last night by the time we got home from taking Hunter home it had started to STORM and continued to do so. Mom didn't turn the computer on and went to sleep. So, please forgive my lateness in getting back to you, here is my acceptance speech: Today I feel to be a truly blessed kitty. What a whirlwind month June was! My sweet girl, Maggie, and I have had so much fun taking you all on a tour of my home state of Louisiana. My Mom retired after thirty years of service to the State of Louisiana. My MHL team the Rodent Rippers took home the Scamper Cup. Three of my dear friends crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Lily Rose, Darling Girl and dear, dear Gypsy. My Grandma found out she needs open heart surgery. My Grandpa turned 80 years old. Maggie’s Mom Pat had knee surgery. My dear friend Bao Bao got a new little brother, Bing Bing. My buddy JoJo became engaged to his lovely girl Emma Grace. MANY of my friends were honored as our COTD. And last but most certainly NOT least my girl, Maggie, agreed to become my beautiful bride! It is with pride and a humbled heart that I accept the crown from my dear, long-time friend, Sylvester. Sylvester has reigned as a magnificent King of June. I pray that I can be as gracious and deserving a King to our wonderful CC community, of which I am honored and proud to be a member. I want to thank each and every friend that took the time to visit each day to leave a vote to make it possible that I should have the honor and privilege to serve as your King of July. I shall forever be grateful to those that catpaigned and/or placed me in their tag lines to get the word out. My heart overflows with love for all my friends and royal subjects. As your King I command each of you to visit King Sylvester #63773, to give him a huge HUZZAH – Long live the King! Leave him a vote of thanks for the wonderful job he has done as your King. My next command is that you should visit page #53825 each and every day of the Month of July so that my friend Sir Fuzzworthy of the Florida Fab Four can receive this crown that I now wear with pride. Don’t forget to congratulate each COTD and vote for those that are catpaigning throughout the month. Today’s COTD is my friend, MerryBelle #6569. Catpaigning today is my friend, Prudence #106518. I expect my CC Kingdom to conduct themselves with compassion and love and to give sympathy, prayers, praise and support to all those in need. I leave you with love, King Wolfie

Hello BFF Boo!!! Good meowning! How are you today? I am doing well. It has been gloomy here since yesterday (it’s still warm though). Late last night, it rained. Mom woke up because I all of a sudden jumped out of bed and started wrestling with the window blinds. I heard rain drops so I was in such a hurry to get a peek outside. It doesn’t rain that much here so when it does, I get excited. MOL!

Last night when Mom gets home, I had a surprise for her --- a big lump of hair ball!!! Surprise!!! Yippee!!! She almost stepped on it! MOL! She didn’t get mad though. She cleaned it without saying a word. She said that’s probably the reason why she didn’t vacuum much kitty hair last Saturday… because I have them all in my tummy. MOL!

LOL! It made me and Mom laugh when you said Bug tries to hog all the catnip and then blames it all on you. LOL! Good thing Mom Jojo knows you and Bug too well. Bug doesn’t get away with it. Speaking of fireworks, I am a scaredy kitty… so that means yes, fireworks scares me.

I’m excited because Mom doesn’t have to work tomorrow. Their company considered it their July 4th holiday (since it fell on Saturday this year). I have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to spend quality time with her. I always miss my Meowmy and lately I couldn’t help but show it to her. I lay on the carpet, all stretched out and waiting for her to pet me. I love it when she lies beside me, holds my paws and then sings me a song. Mom knows I am a Mama’s girl. I have to learn to be a little “hard to get” for her. I can’t be too vulnerable you know. MOL!

Well I hope you are having a purrfect day. Here are some homemade dishes to help you celebrate the holiday: baked chicken stuffed with lots of mozzarella cheese and catnip, slowly baked herring chips with buttermilk catnip dressing, and rattyroad mice-cream for dessert. (I’ve included a couple of catnip mice-cream cone).

Hi BooBoo and Family,
I am so excited and nervous and melancholy to see the tours come to an end. It has been a fun month and I sincerely hope that all my CC friends have enjoyed touring my home State of Louisiana. I know Maggie and I surely have enjoyed ourselves. Thank each and every one of you that have supported me for COTM, I truly appreciate each of you. Those who have catpaigned or put me in your tag lines, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Congratulations to Angel Lily Rose #127311, our latest beautiful ACOTD. Today is catpaign free, so good luck to everyone. Can't wait to see who the next COTD will be. Please continue to pray for the families of our latest angels and for Maggie's Mom Pat as she recovers from her knee surgery. Our last tour: Oh Wolfie, how beautiful this plantation is!! Wolfie and Maggie walk up to the majestic Nottoway Plantation, with its towering size, hand-carved marble mantles and intricate plaster friezework, they are awed with its grandeur and innovative features. The 64-room, three-story palatial mansion is sometimes referred to as an "American castle." Nottoway was completed in 1859 for John Hampden Randolph and his wife, Emily Jane Liddell Randolph, and it was home to their eleven children. The mansion boasts 53,000 square feet, and originally sat on 400 acres of highland and 620 acres of swamp. It was designed by renowned architect Henry Howard of New Orleans in Greek Revival and Italianate style. Maggie did you know that many weddings are held here at Nottoway each year and visitors can stay at the Plantation? No, Wolfie, I did not know this, what a beautiful wedding it would be in the all white ball room with the twin white baby grand pianos!!! Wolfie smiles lovingly at his beautiful Maggie and kisses her gently. Dropping to one knee, Wolfie takes Maggie’s paw in his hand and looking up into her eyes he says “Maggie, you are the most beautiful lady in all the world, I love you more than words can say, and I want to spend my life with you, would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?” With tears of joy, Maggie throws her arms around Wolfie and kisses him then replies “Oh Wolfie, I love you so much and will be proud to be your wife!” Wolfie reaches into his pocket and pulls out a ring box and slips a two carat, princess cut diamond ring onto Maggie’s beautiful finger. Standing Wolfie takes Maggie into his arms and kisses her lovingly and tells her “Darling, you have made me the happiest cat in all the world!” With stars in their eyes and love in their hearts they walk paw in paw from the lovely mansion, Nottoway. Hope your day is as beautiful as mine! Love you, Wolfie #59175
