Big Mama, of Palm Springs, CA, found herself homeless when her original owner died. She stayed in the neighborhood for years until a special cat lover moved into the area & noticed her coming into the yard to watch him. One day, he offered her some food & she came up to get a pet while she gobbled the food. She then ran away to the backyard but in a few minutes came back to stay, never to leave his side! Her new Dad named her “Big Mama” because he thought she was pregnant. She was not ~ she's just big!
When Big Head Red (BHR) came along, they got along swell. Big Mama & BHR are quite the happy couple. She loves her good night treats which she gets with BHR. They both get their separate piles. You can see from her outdoor pictures that she would wait everyday at the gate by the little shrine for her Dad to come home. Her Dad loves the photo of her looking out to the street. She looks like a Kliban cat! MOL! Big Mama & BHR are now indoor only kitties. They share a big room with a 12 foot glass patio door, a high up perch in the bathroom window & a perch overlooking the hummingbird feeder. They have their own kitty cubes for privacy, two kitty beds and a huge kitty tower in their room, so there's never a dull moment. Their feeding station has 3 kinds of dry food & a big bowl of water that gets changed 3 times a day. They live in style! Big Mama’s Dad calls her the Swedish kitty because she's so sweet. She stole her Dad’s heart with her big beautiful golden eyes!

Thanks for the vote! Tell your owner to try clicker training for teaching you lots of things, including getting along with dogs and other cats. My owner's mom is a dog trainer and she uses it all the time with the new dogs that come in the house and try to bug us animals that are already here. You can use it with Horses too! Hi Nonnie,
You need to learn how to manage dogs it is easy. Don't just give them a look and if they come too close used your paw and hit their nose. It works every time. I chased away 4 dogs one and scare another that had me back up at my home. He left in his owner's arms. I also snarl at cats and ready to fight as some cats jump me when I was kitten. My motto is to attach first.
I now live in a 3rd floor apartment building and the only animals around are dogs. I love to hunt and have caught birds, mice, voles, snakes lizards, chipmunks. Once I manage to catch a coot. I vote for you; come and visit me.
