VOTE SMOKEY 92440 COTD SATURDAY, AUGUST 1
So, in this HOT weather, who wouldn't want to visit SMOKEY in Imperial Beach, CA? Just sit back and feel the cool ocean breeze wafting through your fur as you read about this pretty 11 year old girl. Smokey lives with her Mom, older sister Callie and her young tormenting sister, Angel. She loves greenies and pawty mix. Not only has she conned her Mom into making sure she gets only fancy feast for breakfast every day but it has to be served before Mom starts getting ready for work!
SMOKEY takes her kong kickeroo toy to bed as it is her favorite toy but she loves playing with the laser light and HER fishing pole toy. She is not shy, in fact likes meeting new people and often welcomes them from the comfort of the top of the recliner or the cat tree. Smokey truly loves her Mom as she rescued her from a shelter at age one and has provided her with a loving home.

From Duckies Desk: Have you met Angel Rani, # 129464? Jump into the RV and come for a ride with Angel Rani as she takes you on a tour from Washington State to Arizona!! Yikes, that means into the heat but never fear for her angel wings work the A/C controls like magic. "Are we almost there?" Rani asks Mom as they drive along the Pacific Coastline and into Oregon. Rani honks the horn as they fly by all CC friends in WA, OR and into No. CA. Rest stop and out comes the leash so Rani can check for the scent of old friends. She settles back down in her pink fluffy cat basket, map in hand, telling Mom that the next stop just has to be San Francisco. Mom explains how far off course that will be but gives in simply because RANI is her HEART and she will do anything for her. Rani gives a shout-out to Tony Bennett (who??), grabs fresh crab and tells Mom to floor it so she can get to the RV park, normally another day's drive but not with an Angel as navigator. Oh, is that the London Bridge right here in AZ? Yes! We made it.
Yes, friends, another day in the remarkably similar world of the Rainbow Bridge. Angel Rani has made this drive so many times that she goes on the same trip at the Rainbow Bridge, just as her Mom remembers her each time she goes south to AZ for the winter. Another remarkable thing - we just did it in the heat of summer instead of winter.
