My favorite tricks and treats are: Pickles doesn't do tricks - she's too busy keeping an eye out for Gromit. and Vanilla Ice Cream. No... maybe it's Butter Pecan Ice Cream. Hard to say... The occassional creme filled donut from Dunkin Donuts is always good!
Where I hang out: Pickles stays very close to Grandpa. He keeps her safe from Gromit.
My favorite grubs: French Onion Dip. Peanut Butter Crackers. Kettle Cooked Potato Chips. Pizza with extra cheese.
My pet peeves: Pickles' pet peeve is her brother, Gromit.
What I love about my owners: I love my mommy and daddy for saving me and for taking really good care of me, even though I know it was expensive. But, my favorite human is my Grandpa. He gives me so much love and attention. And, he sneaks treats to me, like French Onion Dip, when my parents aren't around.
My cat hobbies: Sleep beside Grandpa. Eat with Grandpa. Watch for Grandpa's return from work via the kitchen window. Anything with or about Grandpa.
Pet motto: Thank Goodness for Grandparents and Ice Cream!

How We Met
My human parents found me at the PetSmart's SPCA adoption center. I had been in that god-awful cage for months. No one wanted me... I drooled. Well, mommy and daddy took me home and after lots of money spent to get my teeth fixed, I am very happy in my nice, warm home with my Grandpa's loving me.

Well, I sure do miss you! Mom had to go for a second surgery, has been in PT for 3 months, and then without an internet connection. SO, I have not been able to keep up with you kitties in PA. How are you? How is life treating you? Mom is still recuperating, but is finally doing much better. She just retire a week ago! I hope you kitties are all well and enjoying life. Here's a big fat vote. Maybe you don't know but kitties are not supposed to have onions. I think if you do a search on Google of cat + onions you will find something which explains it. vanilla Icecream is ok though.

Hi Pickles and all the gang!
How are you kitties? Doing ok? Mom still has her wing in a sling. Guess what happened here yesterday? We had an emergency evacuation and I spent an 3 hours in my carrier at the neighbor's house! We smelled gas, called Atlanta Gas Light and were told to get out of the house quickly and they would be here in 30 min. to check it out. My parents shoved me into my cage, ran out without any stuff and went to the neighbor's. We have her key cuz we sometimes sit her sweet cats--they're on CC too. Dad called 3 more times, and then my Mom called and said, "I've got an old man and a cat here in 88 degree heat with a gas leak. This is an emergency!" (My dad was not amused about the description!! 3 hrs later, they came, found a leak in our gas meter, fixed it and cleared us to go back in. Mom was fit to be tied--still had a day's work to do. BUT all humans and kitties ate safe and mom is proud of how we 3 kitties handled ourselves. Whew! Purrs and a vote! Gin GinCome visit me, Ginger Spicegirl.

Hello... Momma printed out copies of all my blogs since Saturday morning. She promised me extra time blogging over the next few days. We played together so much today. I think she was trying to make up for leaving me. I really suffered being left alone with my two sisters, Grandma, Grandpa and especially Aunt Donna. I suffered through belly rubs, kitty kisses, brushing, being hand fed, played with and entertained. I know you feel sorry for me. Sometimes it's tough being a kitty. LOL!!! I was so happy to see my Momcat that when I heard the garage door close I ran down the stairs and jumped into her arms. I know I was suppose to ignore Momcat and give her the quilt trip but I was just TOO excited. Momma was trying to hold me, her pocketbook & suitcase. The look on her face was pretty funny. My parents had a wonderful time in Las Vegas. They flew 3 hours by helicopter to the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, followed the Colorado River along the Grand Canyon Western Rim and landed at the Hualapai Nation. They went out on the new Skywalk that opened two months ago. The Skywalk is a glass walkway that suspends more than 4,000 feet above the Grand Canyon's floor and extends 70 feet from the Canyon's Rim. VERY COOL!!! They saw the Beatles Show "LOVE" and really enjoyed it. Swimming, walking the strip and seeing the sights kept them busy. Momma said it was 100 degrees everyday without the humidity of NYC. They enjoyed the Bellagio and LOVED the dancing fountains. Today Momma started to open the pool and they celebrated Papa's birthday. I watched Momma put the suitcase away so I know that she is staying home for quite some time. Momma brought me some yummy catnip toys & several little rattling balls. She also gave me a photograph of her petting a small cub (about 90 pounds) at MGM's casino. They went to the Lion's Habitat. That dude's paw is larger than my head. Momma told me I was way cuter!!! How are you all? Good, I hope! Please forgive me for not writing! I haven't been able to blog too much because my mom had shoulder surgery last week--torn rotator cuff tendon, displaced cartilege, bone spurs. has her arm in a sling. will have 12 weeks of PT. excuse the typing, few caps, etc. it's with onne hand. Before that we had tons of family visiting around Easter. I think about you often, my friend. how's grandpa? I hope you're enjoying a beautifil spring! Love and purrs to you!! Dear Dogs and Cats,
The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.
The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack.
Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn’t help because I fall faster than you can run.
I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out to the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.
For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, and try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years – canine or feline attendance is not required.
To pacify you, my dear pets, I have posted the following message on our front door:
To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets:
1. They live here. You don’t.
2. If you don’t want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That’s why they call it ‘furniture.
3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
4. To you, it’s an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn’t speak clearly.
Remember: Dogs and Cats are better than kids because they:
1. Eat less.
2. Don’t ask for money all the time.
3. Are easier to train.
4. Normally come when called.
5. Never ask to drive the car.
6. Don’t hang out with drug-using friends.
7. Don’t smoke or drink.
8. Don’t have to buy the latest fashions.
9. Don’t want to wear your clothes.
10. Don’t need a gazillion dollars for college and . . .

Hello to the Weaver Gang
Dear Pickles & Gang, Hello!!! I feel like I have not meowed with anyone in days. Momma didn’t feel well yesterday so I couldn’t write my friends. This morning we came on to Cat Channel and the site was GONE!!! I think we need to decide on a firm emergency plan. We could meet at Bird Channel, on the Bird of the Week page the next time the site goes down . Just to LOOK. I must tell you its very nice over there. Bird Channel is very BRIGHT and colorful. I would say it’s like a large take out menu there but I don’t want to offend any of my kitty friends who have feathered siblings because I’m only teasing. We could end the day by crashing on the Dog of the Day site. Talk about living life on the edge. Would it be okay to leave them a message on the walls??? Something like “Cats rule and dogs drool!!!. ( Hee-Hee) Fortunately the site is back up. I have been watching the birds again. Somehow a fly managed to find its way into my house. After a brief 12 ½ minutes, he was lunch. I am trying to increase my protein intake. I am going to treat myself to a nice quiet wind blown nap in front of the screen door. The birds are eyeing Momma’s blueberries already. Life is good. Thank you for telling me about yourselves. Poor LouLou. I'm sure glad that you all have loving and forever homes.I wish you a very pleasant and enjoyable evening. Hi Dear Friends!
All you Weaver cats are invited to a virtual party at my blog site. Here's the details. Please come!! You are invited to my place to celebrate my 8th birthday on Monday, April 23, at 7:00 p.m. It's also Pawstuctaway's b'day, so we'll double the fun! Mom's cutting pink azalea blossoms for the girls to wear in their hair, and there will be white ones for the guys. My Dad will start the festivities with an Irish blessing, followed by an Irish jig. There will be Spicegirl music, of course, and then my mother wants to teach everyone to do the Electric Slide. Lots of kitties have already said they will bring goodies, and we'll have some Tybee Island shrimp and lots of safe dry food crunchies to snack on. Of course there will be plenty of catnip and some of Missy's catnip wine (for those of age) and water bowls for all, because we'll really heat it up on the dance floor! Anyone who wants to stay is invited to sleep over--Timmy and Tommy already said they would. Dad will put sleeping bags on the fenced in patio garden for indoor-outdoor cats and Mom will spread quilts on the living room floor for us indoor kitties. She's also got a surprise game planned for us. Oh, and Sebastian, will you lead us in a soccer game? Please, everyone, invite your friends and sibblings! I don't want to leave anyone out. Oh Pickles, I have been such a poor friend! Please, please accept my apologies. You have been on my mind and have not written you in ages. I am so ashamed of myself! You are my dear friend, and I do not want to lose touch. AND Minnie wrote me, and I didn't answer her either!! My Mom has had a bad time. She hurt her back, then she had to get on a plane and go on a long business trip, and she has been so stressed out with work--10 and 11 hour days. Hey Sweetie! I'm SO glad you're back! I missed you. Don't worry, I know what it means to have a busy mom. My Mom is so stressed out over work my Dad and I are worried about her. Glad the cheese was good, and pizza, oh boy. What good news about your good health report! Good girl!!! I have something to tell you--it will be our little secret. I was so nervous once at the vet's, I dropped a load of poop on the vet's table. It just came out! My Dad was so embarassed, he wanted to crawl under the table, but the vet just swept it away with paper towels and went right on with the exam and calling me Sweetie. He understands nervous cats. I am a Maine Coon also. I'm sorry you are having trouble with Gromit, My new sister, Lonnie has trouble with our sister Mandy. If she is around Lonnie hides under the bed. I try to keep the peace between them. I try to comfort both of them. Auntie's cat, Arthur came from Pet Smart when a shelter had an adoption day going on. He is an orange Tabby & very shy . They say his parents were Furrels, what ever that means!You are a beautiful kitty. Come & see us! It's me again, Gin Gin. Thanks so much for writing to me. You are such a good friend. We all feel better here. My Mom brought my Dad home from the hospital yesterday about noon and I had to play pet therapist and sleep on top of him while he napped all afternoon! He is a bit better today, but still weak and needs lots of naps--which is lucky for me. Thanks for the kind words and understanding. Yum. Did you get a cinnamon roll? And how was that donut? My Mom is going to visit the sites your mommy put up for LouLou and Button today. Don't be too scared of Gromit. He probably doesn't know his own strength. Hi Special Paw Pal Pickles!
I was so happy to get your letter! My Mom had a rough night and she needed some "cat comfort." She had to take my Dad to the emergency room about 6 tonight and just now got home at 1 a.m. We think my Dad will be OK, but they are keeping him overnight. When he gets home, I will need to be pet therapist again. I'm pretty good at it. We cats always seem to know when our humans need us. I read about your snow--wow! 8 paws--8 inches! You stay warm and cozy, now! Your grandpa must love you very much to bring you special treats. I want to hear more about that nice birthday party you have planned for next month. I also can't wait to visit your little sibblings on their new sites your Mom put up. If all goes well, my Mom and I will do that tomorrow. Boy, I love your snow measuring stick-- one Paw + one inch. You cats have a good way to monitor that, and I can just picture you doing it! And aren't you lucky that your Grandpa bought special cheese to share with you. No wonder you two are so close!! We're watching the weather forecast for the nation and it looks like PA is getting or is going to get lots of snow! I know what you mean about the bad words. My Mom comes out with them and I have to remind her not to say them in front of me! Yes, we have peaches down here in Georgia. Don't tell anybody, but the ones from South Carolina are better. I don't like peaches themselves, but I have been know to lick any ice cream or frozen yogurt dish, including peach yogurt. How do you keep the peanut butter from sticking to the roof of your mouth? I was so glad to hear from you, Pickles. Boy, it sure is cold where you are. You'd better stick close to your grandpa and get in as much cuddling as you can! I've never tried scrambled eggs. My Mom made blueberry pancakes for breakfast Saturday morning. I didn't eat any, but I helped her make them. I love to supervise the cooking. Thank you for your nice long and newsy message! It is always special when I get a letter from you. I know you are shy and I like being your paw pal. Thanks for describing you little sisters. Button sounds like a true drama queen. I can relate to her because I think I'm pretty cute, too. (Mom says let others say that about you--don't say it yourself, but sometimes I can't help myself.) I am SO glad your human parents adopted little special needs LouLou. She sounds like a treasure and you are a good kitty to love her. She is also very lucky to have been adopted by such good parents. I have one small piece of news. My Mom and I have a new project for 2007. We are knitting "snuggies." They are rectangles of thick yarn (made from whatever yarn my Mom has leftover because cats don't care about color). They are for one of the no-kill shelters in Atlanta, called PAWS Atlanta. They use these soft sleeping pads for some of their older kitties whose bones might need a little padding. So far, we've finished 3 since the first of the year. I say "we." My Mom does the knitting, but I sit in her lap. That's while all of our snuggies probably have a little bit of my fur in them. I hope you are staying warm and taking care of all your siblings. I hope you had a good weekend. Wow--bacon and eggs! You are one lucky cat. I am deep into a long nap right now. What does your little sister LouLou look like? Can't wait til you get a picture of her.
