Mom is thrilled Aunt Donna got the package & enjoyed it! That makes Mom so very happy! She hopes it serves as positive reinforcement for all Aunt Donna's efforts & hard work! We know it is very difficult and a constant on going battle. But we are keeping her & your sweet Mom in our prayers! Mom had her evaluation today for out-patient therapy. She was assigned a very nice youg lady. Mom is lookig forward to regainng full use of her knee. She got more exercises to do at home, twice a day. And will go to the clinic three times a week for 4-6 weeks. Was another sunny hot day. Seems summer is here with 90* weather already. Leaving a vote. Peace & love. Have a purrfect evening. Recently a cat loving family had their red female cat, Angel Rhuby cross over the Rainbow Bridge. The cat mom of this family decided she would like to adopt another red female and as luck would have it, there was Rosie at the Petsmart Adoption Center. Rosie #252822 and her new mom bonded instantly and Rosie came to her new home that day. Rosie was at the shelter for over two months and was a bit wild. She didn't like being kept in a cage and would fight with the shelter workers when they tried to put her back in her cage. This was a big reason why Rosie #252822 wasn't adopted sooner; she was scared and the people looking at her were not patient with her until her new mom came along. Now at her new home Rosie #252822 is a cuddle cat with her daddy and loves to play with her brother Yogi. She gets along with the rest of her furry siblings and is a happy cat. Rosie #252822 will not eat dry food but she will eat any kind of wet food. She doesn't like dry treats either! Rosie loves to play with her furry mouse and the laser light. Rosie #252822 is happily spoiled now in her new home and we are very happy she has found a wonderful loving home. Rosie would be so honored to have a COTD badge to display on her page. This sweet kitty joined the angels in February 2013 after losing his battle with complications that developed after being hit by a car the month before. He’d survived having both legs broken & surgery, but was unable to walk & had to drag himself to the litterbox. He was very brave & stayed a very sweet boy during all of the pain, infections, examinations & becoming a foster; but the angels knew that his life would not be a full one with his disabilities & thus called him home. What’s mew with you? I have WONDERFUL mews!!!! Dr. William called - my T4 by equilibrium dialysis thyroid test was NEGATIVE!!!! Thankfully that means I do not have hyperthyroidism.

I have decided that I really do not like to eat the Prescription Diet k/d canned food. I will eat the k/d dry but not the canned food. So Mommy has been busy researching other canned foods with low protein (less than 10%) for me. The crazy woman is also studying our food labels. Do I read the labels on all that junk SHE eats???

Tonight is my last dose of that nasty Clavamox for the UTI. After I have been off it for four days, Mommy will take my urine sample to Dr. William to be rechecked. Hopefully the UTI will be all gone.

Mommy & Nana have a meeting scheduled with Dr. William @ 9 a.m. this Caturday as they have a growing list of questions & concerns. Poor Doc! You would think they love me or something!!!

Have a lovely day. Hope Aunt Donna is adjusting. We think of her & Auntie J often, every day.

Hey Lelu!
Thanks very much for the basket of healing prayers for Mom. She is doing well. The surgeon was pleased with her xrays and progress. She is to start out-patient therapy next week. She has gone as far as Nancy can take her. Now she needs to be using machines to keep stretching the knee muscles. They were held in place by the wire until it was removed 4/30 to allow the knee to heal. We continue to keep your sweet Aunt Donna in our prayers too. We are sure your Mom found her a great nursing home. We pray she continues to do well with all her therapies too. I'm sure it is very hard for Donna & your Mom. We are praying for strength for them. I'm sorry I didn't get over yesterday to wish your Mama a Happy Mother's Day and to pass on my love to Aunt Donna! Mom went to the cemetery and then to visit some gardens. It was a beautiful day and she made dinner for her and her sister and they ate on the patio in our beautiful garden. Did Mom tell you she made a Memorial Garden area for my Dad? Thank you for your kind words, prayers & sweet thoughts. Like many of you, Mommy knows all too well about kidney disease. Her Dot passed away at the age of 17 from kidney disease & hyperthyroidism in October 2000. Mommy had hoped it would be a very long time before she was faced with this awful disease again. She will do her very best to give me the greatest care possible & lots of TLC.

I am eating the k/d canned and dry foods pretty well so far. Mommy says it is extremely difficult having one baby on a special diet. But we are doing our best with this situation & taking it one day at a time.

Thanks again for your prayers & concern. We really do appreciate it. Job 12:10 says “In God’s hands is the life of every creature.” We believe this to be true.

Please paw by & meet this beautiful Champagne Point Tonkinese kitty. KAYLIN #251700 is not just a beautiful face she is also a CFA Champion & a Mom. She was hand picked for her new parents by her sister Wendy's breeder when she found out how sick Wendy was. But this sweet girl was already a mom so her new parents had to wait to bring her home. All of her kitties found their furever homes & then she had her Big Girl surgery. She was finally able to come to her new home in January. She wasn't sure if she wanted to stay at first, but her new parents gave her lots of love & support so we are happy to report she is settling in quite nicely. KAYLIN #251700 spends her days hanging out on Mom & Dads laps, playing with her toys, & napping in the sun. She also likes to tear through the apartment at top speed and has been known to do it in the middle of the night too. Her most favorite things to eat are the Roast Chicken that she shares with her parents, and her Blue food. Great seeing you kits at the arena tonight. Thanks. Mom's surgery went well. The surgeon broke lots of adhesions while she was under. It was a beautiful day. Mom walked to the closest grocery store today. We were getting low on our Meow Mix select cat food. Can't have that! She could use a couple groceries too. Mom was tired when she got home. This week’s special recognition candidates were found on the side of a road near a wooded area when they were barely old enough to fend for themselves. Their guardian angel was working hard that day & led their new mom to the right spot where she picked up the three mewing furballs & took them home. These precious sibs have stolen the hearts of many CC members by mom’s picture postings on FB & it’s pawsome being able to watch them grow up here in our loving community. Colt and Winchester love to talk to calm Kimber down because she’s very shy, unlike her more outgoing sibs. They love to play with their mouse toys & frequently pick on their bigger sibs throughout the day to see how much they can get away with. You can often find this rambunctious trio of young felines looking out of the window talking to birds, or playing with their light up ball. They’re snugglers too! They’re often found in the lap of mom or grandpa or you can see them snuggling happily together in their kitty bed. The inseparable trio of COLT,WINCHESTER & KIMBER#251320, are also keeping the house hopping with their energy level so let’s help them bounce off the walls a little more by pouncing by to paw them a COTD vote today, Monday April 29th, so they can earn their very first badge of honor tomorrow!

Great hearing from your family tonight. We know your Mom & Aunt appreciate our cards. Our Mom certainly appreciates the cards your Mom has sent and the adorable kitty figurine she sent too. We know Mom must be overwhelmed supporting Donna. Ten hours + a day? Yike. Please don't feel you need to send us blogs. We know how you feel. Sounds like Donna has a great team working with her. We continue to keep her in our prayers. I'm sure it is very onervwhelming for her too. Please don't worry about Mom. This is not the first time her back has caused her trouble, but the first time since she hurt the knee. Her surgery Tuesday is to remove the wire & manipulate her knee while she is still anesthesized. She is hoping afterwards she will not need the steel brace & can start walking normally, possible even try to drive. Baby steps. These things take time. We certainly appreciate her prayers & good wishes for Mom. Sending another healing vote for Donna. We pray she can stay positive and strong and see some improvement every day. It is a rainy, windy and cold day here today in Connecticut. How is your weather? Hopefully it will be nice this weekend because Mom has plans to finish cleaning the backyard. Most of it is done, the patio and furniture was power washed and it looks beautiful. Everything was such a mess after the hurricane and than the snow storm but now it looks great. Mom wants to cut back the flowering srubs and clean out the herb garden and get it ready for planting. Who knows when we will be able to plant anything. Soon we hope. Thanks for the birthday and COTD wishes!!!! I had a great birthday yesterday, Mom took me outside to sit in the nice sun, and I had special treats and tuna, overall a great day, sun and napping!!! Purrfect for me!!!! I was so happy I am COTD today, I told Mom I wanted more tuna and to go out with her again, but she said she has to work so ok to tuna, but no to outside (its nice today, but if you can believe it, we are supposed to get a foot of snow tonight and tomorrow ...YUCK) Hope you have a great day!!! Cute as a button Dixie was dropped off at her future home where she now happily resides with her humans and fursiblings. She has learned how to love from them and quite often you can find her hanging out on her mom or grandmom's lap. She doesn't have any pet peeves but she loves jumping into open drawers. As many of you know, 17 year old Minnie D Purrl crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday 4/2. Minnie was a member of a wonderful family of cats known as the Windy Point Gang.

We’re choosing to copy Dad Mike’s exact words that he used to tell us she had crossed--

“She was losing her battle with Hyperthyroidism and her quality of life had decreased dramatically over the last five days. This afternoon Minnie was assisted by our vet, Dr Madsen and myself on her journey. She was 17 years old when she passed.

It is particularly sad for me because Minnie had given me a litter of seven Easter Kitties when she was only 9 months old. I always celebrated Mother's Day with her on Easter. (Sigh...) This year we celebrated with some baby food that I held for her since she was too weak to stand and eat.

Minnie leaves behind her boyfriend Tiger Mann, who is the last of the original Windy Pointers...and of course, her sad Dad.”

Minnie is now a member of the Windy Point Angels #237234, those members of the Windy Point Gang who are now Angels at the Rainbow Bridge. We learned that this special group of Angels has never received their COTD badge, and we want to change that by making them our COTD winner on 4/6. Fang & Drooler #236550 have now taken their place among the other rescues in the family! They love to hang out with mom, enjoy spending time in their beds or on the couch, & enjoy playtime outside! They both meow their displeasure with car rides, strangers, vacuums, & trash trucks; Fang, in particular, has an aversion to feathers, preferring to play only with a shoelace! These sweet kitties are also dealing with an Auto Immune disorder: Drooler has had 7 teeth removed as a result; Fang suffers from mouth and paw ulcers, and is not too happy that he has to take medications for the ulcers, insulin to treat Diabetes, stress, & will start meds for Hyperthyroidism. Along with Luvbug, Lil Jag, Buster, Smudge, & Angels Kuce, Sphinx, & Dancing Bear, Fang & Drooler #236550 have been given a chance to live with this wonderful family, who are well known to everyone for the love and compassion they have for homeless and abandoned cats! Earlier this evening, we shared the very sad news with you that Barb Sussman, Mom to Angel Chloe and Lucy had passed away suddenly on March 1st. Even though they haven’t been very active lately, Angel Chloe is a long time member of CC and was our December 2008 Queen. After Chloe crossed the Rainbow Bridge in January 2011, her Mom Barb decided to adopt a beautiful calico cat named Lucy. Neelix is a very handsome seven year old tabby who was rescued along with his brother when he was a tiny kitten abandoned in a parking lot. Since that tiny kitten was adopted by his loving pawrents he has trained them to be excellent staff for himself and his brothers. Regarding his brothers, Hedley and Jakar, the three of them comprise the famous (or perhaps infamous) “pawty animals”. These boys are always the life of any party, they create lots of fun at every MHL Mouse Hockey Game, and they are always the first to lend a paw on any project that benefits the CC community. They’re always there to offer comfort to the sad, good thoughts and healing wishes to the sick and congratulations to those who are celebrating. Neelix and his family always support the COTD and COTM candidates. They are a credit to the CC community!
Neelix is an outstanding member of our CC family, and since both of his brothers already have their very own COTD badges, it seems that it is time for Neelix to have one of his own. Won’t you please drop by and give this handsome guy a vote, on Monday so he can have the badge he so much deserves.

after her super duper busy day today of running around getting various things done this morning and tied to the kitchen this afternoon. she froze the baked ziti 2 big bags and still has a crockpot for tomorrow night and then tonights was a hit so she knows several things she'll be making again other nights. at least she did get in two walks one early this morning with pepper and then after supper tonight with natty. see ya early tomorrow morning. sandy, ana,haley, angels

The neighbor took in Percy's mom cat and once her litter was born, the human daughter's at her forever home fell in love with her. Percy #245206 stood out because of her wonderful personality. Percy is a prima donna kitty until it is playtime; then watch out! Percy #245206 loves to play with her sibling, Simba, and she enjoys ambushing him. They have a grand time together playing with their toys and each other. Percy is also a talker. She loves to have a conversation and even comes when her name is called. That is smart since a treat may be involved if your name is being called, and Percy #245206 enjoys Temptation treats. She gets a little upset, though, if she is expecting a treat and she is ignored. Percy #245206 can use her paws like furry hands and manages to open things. Percy likes to sit on the back of the recliner and watch her family as she relaxes and observes what is going on.
