How We Met
My original foster Mom was afraid of me. You see, I am a former feral cat, yup, I was caught in a trap and brought in to be spayed and vaccinated, and because I am a beautiful Siamese, the rescue group thought it would be easy to find a furever home for me. Wrong! I was extremely unsociable and I would try to scratch and bite my first foster Mom. She called my now furever Mom, because she knew that my Mom works with feral cats. She begged my Mom to please come and take this Siamese or she was going to throw me back outside. My Mom came over and lured me over to her with a piece of turkey and I actually laid down and showed her my belly, which she rubbed and I stayed there next to Mom and let her rub my face with her cheek. I guess you could say that we fell in love with other! I am happy to live here with my now furever Mom and various rescued feline and canine siblings! She would never throw me outside!

432 Honoring Your 2 Year Forever Sleep, Ling Ling

The temperature was high 50 & low was 41 this morning, now it's 50 with humidity 93% & wind is 8 MPH S. Tuesday's suppose to be Rain & High 51.

Geology: Main article: Mount Mazama
Mount Mazama, part of the Cascade Range volcanic arc, was built up mostly of andesite, dacite & rhyodacite over a period of at least 400,000 years. The caldera was created in a massive volcanic eruption that led to the subsidence of Mount Mazama around 5700 BC: about 50 cubic kilometers (12 cubic miles) of rhyodacite was erupted in this event. Since that time, all eruptions on Mazama have been confined to the caldera.
Lava eruptions later created a central platform, Wizard Island, Merriam Cone & other smaller volcanic features, including a rhyodacite dome that was eventually created atop the central platform. Sediments & landslide debris also covered the caldera floor.
Eventually, the caldera cooled, allowing rain & snow to accumulate and eventually form a lake. Landslides from the caldera rim thereafter formed debris fans & turbidite sediments on the lake bed. Fumaroles & hot springs remained common & active during this period. Also after some time, the slopes of the lake's caldera rim more or less stabilized, streams restored a radial drainage pattern on the mountain, & dense forests began to revegetate the barren landscape. It is estimated that about 720 years was required to fill the lake to its present depth of 594 m. Much of this occurred during a period when the prevailing climate was less moist than at present.
Some hydrothermal activity remains along the lake floor, suggesting that at some time in the future Mazama may erupt once again.

Happy Birthday! Pawing you a vote. My Mom made me Cat Chow Cookies and I am pawing you some.
Cat Chow Cookies
1 cup wheat flour
1/4 cup soy flour
1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup powdered milk
1 egg
2 tablespoons wheat germ
2 tablespoons molasses
2 tablespoons margarine
1 teaspoon organic catnip
1. Preheat oven to 350'F.
2. In a large mixing bowl, together all the ingredients.
3. Lightly flour a rolling pin. Roll out the batter on a greased cookie sheet.
4. Cut into half-pieces.
5. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes.
6. Allow to cool before serving. Store the leftovers in an airtight container in a cool place.
Make 6 to 8 Servings
