How EXCITING...............My 2nd COTD............
I had such a grand time at my birthday party yesterday. I got in late, slept in late and see that I am in today's spotlight .

Thank you for your note of 4/7. I left a vote for you. I’m finally getting back to cc. Mom has been gone for a few days and hasn’t been able to help me write to my friends.

Mom said she really had a really good time visiting her friend in Las Vegas. But, it is so great to finally have her back! I missed her soooo much! I couldn’t believe it when I saw her walking in the front door on Tuesday night. I ran down to the door and meowed and purred and gave her nose kisses. Then when she bent down to pet me, I jumped right up on her shoulder. She held my hind legs in her arms while I put my body against her face and my front paws across her shoulder. I was purring loudly and kneading her shoulder with my paws (you know how we love to show our affection by giving our Moms little kitty massages). She was happy too! She kept talking to me and rubbing my chin and petting me. It was WONDERFUL! I think Dad may have been a little jealous. He said “She really loves you! She didn’t act like that around me!” When Mom put me down, I rubbed against his legs so he would know I love him too! Then later, when Mom and Dad were sitting on the couch talking and half-watching TV, I snuggled under the blanket on Dad’s lap while Mom sat next to us (this made him feel better). And of course I followed them to bed and crawled under the blanket when they went to bed and purred and purred myself to sleep. Our FAMILY UNIT is back intact!!! Hurray!

I’m very grateful for the honor of COTD. Harley said it all, and especially that CC is the best. Our family is really enjoying being CC members. It’s great to be able to see that everyone cares for there cats, and kitten a great deal.
Mom is so grateful for me getting COTD, she has decided that since she can’t do anything for me. She is going buy extra food for the shelter that helped her with the animals in the state park that were being abandoning.
Please keep the homeless cats and dogs in mine. If we all do just a little more for them, maybe there will be less out there. I don’t know if anyone knew this! But if you go to a shelter, they have special rates with local vets to fix strays, and you can buy these tickets for fixing them. At the shelter I worked with, the tickets ran $15.00, that 15 would pay for there exam, shots, flea treatment, heart worm test, fixing them, and treatment for any other thing wrong. Pretty cheap. And in many case will turn the cats that unadoptable lose with permission from farmers, for barn cats. It’s a win win situation. Cats get in turn for being mousers, and etc, they get food shelter, and vet care. So keep this in mine. I thank you all so much getting my first badge.

Yesterday morning I woke up before Mom (as usual). I walked over to the laptop computer, paced back and forth and wondered “Did I win? Did I win?” Finally after the third time Mom hit the snooze button on that morning noise-maker by the bed, I just could NOT stand the suspense any longer! I jumped up on Mom and put my nose right down into her face so she would finally GET UP AND CHECK!! She opened her eyes and said “Sparkles! Do you think you won Cat of the Day??” GEEZ MOM – what do you think I’ve been waiting for!! GO CHECK! So, with my paws crossed, Mom opened up catchannel and HURRAY! We saw my photo in the Winner’s Box!! We were both so thrilled! Mom said “Congratulations Cat of the Day. Let’s go get you some extra treats to celebrate”. Yeah Mom! Yeah Cat Channel Friends! And guess what – as an added bonus to my excitement yesterday morning – I looked out my window and the birds had finally found my birthday present (the bird feeder Dad put up right outside my window for my first birthday, which was March 29th). It was a GREAT day for me! I really appreciated all the kitties who took the time to come over and paw me a vote on Wednesday. And I appreciate everyone who has come over to congratulate me on my Thursday 4/7 honor. Thanks for leaving a note on my page. I’m glad to get to know new fur friends and of course I really appreciate the friendship of all the friends I’ve already made on cc. I hope to get back to you real soon to exchange more notes and continue to have so much fun together. This has been a real treat for me and for Mom. Thanks again for everything! CATS RULE!!

WOW!!! WHAT A SURPRISE!!!
Thank you so much for my second COTD Award. Mom's computer was in for repairs when this happened, so we did not know about it until a few days later ... and then we still had to wait for repairs to be completed. SO ... rather than explain myself further for the delay, I will say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for this honor. Many who voted for me were already dear friends; the rest of you are about to become dear friends, I hope. The pile of gifts ... toys, treats, and girlie treats ... is so big, we may need to build an addition on the house to hold it all. Mom ate anything that was chocolate, but I'm guarding with tooth and claw everything else. Hope you'll excuse the cut-and-paste; the list is so wonderfully long, I'll be on all day getting my thank you's done. After that, it's anything goes, so watch for upcoming invitations to hop on my little pink plane for a special trip. Purrs and whisker tickles, Cherish ... =^..^= ... And thank you from her mom.

PUFFERS!!! sorry it has been awhile! how r u doing furrend? the snow is crazy like that! it comes and it goes. it just isnt consistent! haha yeah i remember that! ihave lotsa fat to keep me warm too. summer is almost here, just wait a lil puff! u like the trampaline? im not gonna lie, it makes me a lil scared :/. i hate those fleas. they r gross and icky.

I demanded that mommy get on here at least once a week so I can chat with my furiends, hurt thumb or not! I miss you guys! I think we have a real live zhu zhu pet now. It never stops, though, like the other zhu zhu's. Dana's not happy about it, so neither am I! I've tried batting at it, but mommy tells me not to. Why not, mommy? I had her post a picture of it at the bottom of my page. She keeps calling it Bella as if it's going to stay... Have a fun fun day!!
