Education: When I took in a 3-week old kitten with no idea how to take care of him, Sheba came to the rescue and became his surrogate mom. I fed him; she bathed him. She gave him what I could not; she was spayed and had never had a litter, so what she did was amazing to me--that kitten is now 9 years old and grooms himself so well.

Where I hang out: On my bed, whether I'm also on it or not.

My pet peeves: If I don't wake up in the morning, she will lightly paw at me with one claw until I wake up, get out of bed, and feed her and Mocha.

What I love about my owners: Everything!

My cat hobbies: Bask under the heat of an incandescent lamp. Looks like she's working on her "tan".

How We Met

I was driving on the access ramp to Interstate 80 (a very major highway) after dinner at a truck stop. Sheba was walking along the berm. Another 5 minutes and she probably would have been run over by a tractor trailer.
