My favorite tricks and treats are: No real tricks. He just likes to lay on his back with his legs up in the air. and I limit him on treats as he is a heavy cat.
Where I hang out: He loves a marble-topped antique dresser.
My favorite grubs: If it is food, Cody loves it. He treats (and inhales) all foods equally.
My pet peeves: Nothing seems to bother this boy, except an empty food dish!
What I love about my owners: I am a crazy kitty who loves to get into everything, and no matter what I do, my papa never gets mad and loves me unconditionally- .
My cat hobbies: Cody loves to lightly bite me when he's hungry.
Pet motto: No hanging plant shall go untouched!

How We Met
I was working with two others doing Work Zone Traffic Control reviews in Oswego County (NY) and we stopped for lunch at a wonderful diner (Dahl's) just East of Oswego. When we were checking out, I saw there was a stack of flyers for for the Oswego County Animal Welfare League (OCAWL). I took one, and that evening went on their website and saw pictures of Cody and his brother. I was so impressed that OCAWL is a no-kill organization and was also impressed that they foster kitties in people's homes. I soon went to the foster home and met a wonderful woman named Barbara who had raised Cody and his brother since they arrived at just one month of age after their mother was killed by a car. Normally, I would have been initially hesitant to adopt Cody and his brother as they were living in a beautiful and loving home, but Barbara said they needed to find their forever home and not live in a foster home. When I first arrived, Cody immediately took to me, and I knew he had to come home with me.

Dear Cody,
Yea, my poor sister Ginger is in end-stage disease, and the vet told us that she has 6-12 months about 5 months ago.So, mom takes every opportunity to love her, brush her,pray together to St. Francis and let her sleep in mom's lap. You and T-Kitty are just so cute and wonderful!

Dear Cody,
Was Oscar in end stage just before he passed or the whole time before? That would be very encouraging for mom, because she panics every time Ginger isn't in her sight.
That's really interesting about you and T Kitty! After your dad explained it, we understood how to tell you apart!

Dear Cody,
Hi! As you can see, we aren't always timely! MOL. That was so good about Oscar that they caught it in time for medications to help out. Ginger has unfortunately end stage cardiomyopathy. Mom gives her three medications, two of them twice a day. She has sometimes fast breathing especially after she moves a bit faster. Mom is trying to limit her food so she can lose some weight, but it's hard to deny her, even though it's in her best interest.

too bad you haven't seen that kitty commercial, it's really funny! i can't wait for mom to get our water fountain. mom's already prepared for me splashing in it,dunking in it and even stepping in it if it's big enough. she's got a big piece of rubber that she's going to put under it. is your snow all gone yet? can you see any green stuff yet? i know it's been a long time, but that would be the grass coming through,
ha,ha,ha. this weekend is supposed to be in the high 70's to 80's here. WOOOOO HOOOO! that means the windows will be open and we can take in all the smells! hope you have a pawsome weekend.

that's what you are! a pet fountain by the glass sliders when it's raining,woo hoo! mom is already looking at pet fountains to buy us one :) hmmm,she did mention putting it in the kitchen though,and the sliders are in the diningroom. guess i'm going to have to give that part some thought ;) what a beautiful day today in florida. it got up to 78 today and the warm sunshine was pooring through the windows,which was great for our catnaps. we've all been spending alot more time at the sliders and windows because the squirrels and birds are really active now.
Maybe you could be the spokesKitty for the Hoffmann hot dog company. there are lots of kitties in commercials now. Mom loves the one with the two himmies wrapped around the guys legs as his boots,hahaha.

Oh boy are we ever ready for some spring too!!! Its been a very long winter here and we are still having it. We are supposed to get some more snow tonight and it was 14 out this morning. Mom couldn't stand it she put her horses balnket back on. She is already starting her spring shed and mom was worried about it, so back on with the blanket, it would really help if she just grew a nice winter coat but she doesn't. We have been watching all the robins running around the back yard and can't wait to get out there. Of course we will try to catch them, but mom just shakes her head and says we are all to slow!!!MOL!!! Now Dot is wild card this year, she was a feral kitty and has to know all about those things....so we will have to wait & see how she is. Mom has yet to introduce her to the harness, but doesn;t think its going to go over so well!!! Well don't worry we too are praying for spring!!! Hope you all have a pawsome day!!! i have a real dilemma today. remember that i told you that i LOVE water? Well it's raining REALLY HARD (off and on) and every so often the wind is blowing all that rain right up against the sliding glass doors and that's my dilemma, all that water is just going to waste!! do you have any idea how i can get at it? mom won't let us outside, we're strictly indoor kitties.

you're right Cody, they should have Snack Wells for kitties.hahaha congratulations on loosing 2 lbs, that's great! mom gives us both can and dry food but she measures it and our food is not left out for us. we eat and then she picks up our dishes and washes them. if she didn't i would be eating Puzzle's leftovers :)Puzzle sometimes doesn't finish his dinner and i am more than happy to make it disappear. thank goodness that both Puzzle and i are very active cats. hope all of you had a nice weekend.

well, i would never have known that you were 20lbs! you must be a big guy because it sure doesn't look like you have any extra weight on. i'm only 8lbs and i'm not going to get any bigger, unless i get wider,MOL. our dad built us a catwalk and sometimes Puzzle gets up there and waits for me to walk by and then bonks me on the head by dropping one of his toys on me! then i climb up the cat tree onto the catwalk and the chase is on,hahaha. have a meowvelous night.

well..mom does keep dry kibble down for us all day so we can all help ourselves..and it is a mix of indoor and outdoor..she says that keeps us slim during the winter when we aren't as active..so i guess, when we get wet food..we don't make too big a pigg out of ourselves..
but, now that spring is coming and we can go outside more, we'll get the "real" stuff..teehee..

well..we do have a nice ig yard..but it is fenced and none of us try to get out..well..except sammy..he jsut can't stand being cooped up and always wants to see what's on the "other side"..but in the summer,we haveall these flowers to smell and we all help mom in the garden..so it's ok..those cars out front scare me anyway...
i'm afraid i don't wait for others to eat..i tend to eat right out of the can..teehee..some call me a little piggy..but i just can't wait! i don't have to worry about any left-overs..i can eat all i want..teehee..
enjoying the nice fresh air inside is almost as good as being out...

nice of you to stop by and thanks for the compliment on my picture. i see you have lots of pictures on your webpage now. i love stopping by kitties' webpages and looking at all their cute pictures. it looks like the three of you are best buds, are you? i love Puzzle,he's my best bud. he was already three years old when mom brought me home so i figured he knew his way around and i followed him every where and copied what he did. sometimes that got me in trouble though :( we still do lots together but he wants nothing to do with water. he just looks at me like i'm crazy when i play in it. Puzzle's favorite thing to do is jump up high and jump long distances. you already know my fav thing is water,MOL. what are you guys favorite things to do? i can see by your pictures that catnaps is one one of them,MOL. ours too!! what kitty doesn't enjoy a good catnap, especially in a sunny spot.

oh gosh..thank you for the complement..you are very handsome, too..and..gosh..i don't think you look overweight at all...
mom gives us indoor and outdoor (mixed) food in the winter so none of us will put on weight while we're laying around and can't get outside...
whenever that will be..geesh..we all hate being stuck inside..

Hi Cody!
Stopping by on this bright and sunny Sunday! Wow! We have been having some fantastic pre-spring weather. But last night it did get back down to freezing. It's been in the 40's overnight until now.
Hey, don't feel bad about that "all left feet" thing. I don't dance either. I leave that to Ziggy and Hot Rod. My specialty is climbing the backs of chairs. It's okay though. We cats have out very own chair to climb! Mom and dad made a kind of poor-man's cat tree for us from a second hand rocking chair ($5) and a thrift store coat ($4). The coat hangs across the back of the chair and that's what I like to climb. Then when I get to the top I RIP into it!
Dad put a long foam tube through the coat arms and across the back of the chair, so it's just like a little perch for us. And we can hide under the chair, too. It's really pretty cool. Mom adds dangly stuff to it for us to play with. And the whole thing probably didn't cost $20. Much better than $100 or more!
