More about Smokey!!!!!!
Smokey has had a rough life, not only did I find her starved, and with ticks, but she got out of the house and was brutally beaten by 13 different strays before I got her back, I had rush her to the vet where she was immediately blood tested for diseases, and we found out she was pregnant and being that she was only 4.5 pounds, She wouldn't have made it through the pregnancy, so I had to have her emergency aborted; and she came home bruised but okay. Then December 2007 our home caught fire, I got our three rabbits, my guinea pig, our two birds, four dogs, and both Taz and Smokey out of the house and safely in the garage, but the fire men opened the door and let them out, we got everyone but Smokey, so for three weeks she roamed without a home and I didn't know if she was alive or dead, when I finally found her she was so skinny and scared, her toes were raw from digging in the rubble, She wouldn't eat, she had given up. I took her to my sisters where we were staying and had to force feed her because she had just given up. A couple weeks of rehabilitation and she just gained the weight back, she still has some emotional scars but she fought back and went from 4.5lbs. to this year being overweight and happy to be back with me. she weighs 12.5 pounds now and we've rebuilt so we're all home finally.Come visit me, Taz, Patchy & Smokey.
