My pet peeves: The sound of the vacuum cleaner scares him.
What I love about my owners: My owner just recently lost all four of their family dogs to a cruel neighbor. She was not quite ready to take on another pet(not to mention she has never been much of a cat person). But,...because she has a kind heart and love for all animals,...she decided to take me in. Now I have won her over and she loves me unconditionally and I love her and the kids as well.
My cat hobbies: Play, purr, snuggle, and SLEEP!!!

How We Met
We found Sniffles outside the head start building abandoned, skinny, and cold. We took him home, cleaned him up, and posted "LOST" flyers. No one claimed him, so we decided to keep him. He is just so affectionate and the kids LOVE him.

Hi Sniffles this is Max, my mom always forgets to check my blog so once again i'm way far behind. You are so good looking! We do look a lot alike don't we? I spent most of the morning here in Michigan watching birds through the window. Mom keeps the feeders full so i have lots of birds to watch. I sure would like to get my paws on them though. Yesterday a bird flew right into the window, totally freaked me out man! It didn't get hurt and mom was happy about that. Then today a big hawk came after our birds. They stayed away for about an hour but they are back now. Time for mom to fill the feeders again. I hope you are staying warm in Texas it's really cold here in Michigan i can feel it right through the window. Hmm i think it's time for a little nappypoo in moms recliner. I voted for you and maybe i'll get to write again one of these days.

SCRATCHING THE FURNITURE{cont}: Scratching posts and pads, available in pet stores and supermarkets, will meet your cats needs to stretch, exercise, keep nails trim and relieve stress. When you catch your cat scratching something he shouldn't, calmly pick him up, bring him over to the scratching post, put his front claws on it and praise him when he furiously scratches away. In no time at all, he'll get the idea and your furniture will be safe.
If inappropriate scratching persists, there's most likely another cause and you'll have to use your mind-reading ability to figure out what it is.
First of all, look for signs of boredom. If your cat seems listless or if he reacts badly when you leave him alone, try spending more time with him and make sure he has plenty of toys to play with. Put a post or pad in every room so that he'll have a socially acceptable outlet for his scratching impulses when they come over him.
