EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 63 & low was 50 this morning, now it's 62 with humidity 41% & wind is 7 MPH NNE. Tuesday's suppose to be Sunny & High 62.

♥ Mom & dad had an errand to do first thing this morning then when they got back home, they pretty much rested & watched recorded shows. Mom's been dealing with a nasty headache all day, too. I took advantage of the situation & got lots of mom time!!!! Tehehehe!!!! Mom says her & dad will be back to working in the back yard tomorrow though with getting sand for the sand-litter box then other clean ups!!!!
♥ Here's a story we wanted to share from an email mom received:
"Cat rescued from sign above highway"
ELKHART, Ind. (UPI) Animal rescuers in Indiana said a cat was brought down from atop a sign near a highway overpass two days after it was first spotted.
The Humane Society of Elkhart County said the Elkhart Police Department received a call Thursday about a cat on top of a sign near the St. Joseph Valley Parkway overpass on U.S. 33, but officers were unable to find the feline, the Elkhart Truth reported Wednesday.
The Humane Society received a similar call the following day and the orange cat was discovered sitting atop a light on the sign, about 15 feet from the overpass, said Megan Gonterman, assistant director of the Humane Society.
The cat was rescued with help from the Elkhart Street Department.
"He was a little on the dehydrated side," Gonterman said. He ate right away, so he was pretty hungry, too.
"He was a little scared of stuff at first, but he's a really friendly cat," she said. I think he was just happy to be down.
The cat, which has been dubbed Freeway, was likely thrown from the overpass, Gonterman said. She said it would have been difficult for the feline to reach the perch on its own.

Mom is slowly getting back to noprmal now that her pawrents are better and her daddy is driving again. She is still very sad over Nala. Especially because she was starting to think she would make it long enough for brother to make it through boot camp. She isn't going to tell him til she sees him on Liberty Day, the day before graduation. She doesn't want anything to interfere with his focus, concentration and training. He graduates Oct 5, and she will get to spend 4 hours with him on Oct 4th. She is getting very excited. She had a good friend who told her that Nala is now down on Parris Island watching over him. That helped mom to think of her doing that. How is your daddy doing? Has he had the tests to see why his blood count keeps dropping? We are keeping him in prayer. Purrs and kitty kisses. Namaste. Thank you so much for Welcoming me, and for the condolences you gave Mom when I crossed the bridge in June. Mom has still not fully come to grips with it as she has been so busy with her sick pawrents. But things have settled down and we are back on CC. It is very late, but our gratitude runs deep for the emotional support you all gave.And it especially comforting to mom to know that I am safe with you and Nana and Angel Duckie. She tried so hard to make me ok, but it wasn't to be. She still feels guilty, like maybe she should have tried harder. Her ssys one thing but her heart another. And soon, Nala will be joining us. She is very old and very sick. Mom says, and I believe it - CC friends are the best! Purrs and kitty kisses. Hi Angel Ayashe!
Just stopping by for a visit. Mom is working some crazy hours and is tired a lot, but with brother out of work and then not sentto boot camp when he was told, she had more bill to keep up with, and his car payment to make for 6 months. They are going to try to sell it. But for now she is trying to pick up one extra 12 hour night shift a week, and sometimes 2. She had 2 this week, but they took one away. And tonight she will be on-call as the census in the unit dropped. Brother has been really great with spending time and playing with us though. Nala seems to be doing a bit better on the YD food. Not gaining any weight, she is still so painfully thin, but seems to be happier and is back sleeping with mom. Jade is still aggressive despite the meds. Some days she seems ok, and other days she seems unhappy and miserable. Mom doesn't know what she should do... I see you have a new family to watch over. The kittens are so cute. GREETINGS...
pawsing by to catch up on meh blogs. Sorry it has been a month since my last blogging but April was such a weird month. First it started out gorgeous and warm, then it suddenly went back to winter time much to every one's displeasure. Just last week it started breaking off and becoming more SPRING time around here but man did we experience one major hail storm here. Mommie stood at the big bay window where my new bed is (look above) and hoped it would not bust out any windows. That bay window is too big any way. 90 x 72 in fact!! No wonder Mommie has a horrible time with curtains, in which she bought some really pretty new white lacy ones and took those horrible beige colored ones down. She also moved the bed closer to the wall too because I would tend to roll over and off in between the bed and wall. LOL!! But any way that hail was the size of nickels, the largest ever seen here and the yard was completely white with it too. It sounded like some one was taking an empty SUCRETS tin full of nails and shaking it, on this tin roof here. I was totally confused as to what was happening. April also brought Mommie much unhappiness and her depression has came back again. Poppie told her to not worry about any thing but Mommie is a worry wart. I just wish things would go her way for a change of pace too. She is so unhappy with alot of things. Makes me sad when she is sad. I am glad Poppie is a great Poppie though and supports both her and me when things go bad. Another family member lost their life too this week. My Mommie's sister-in-law (Mommie's brothers wife) brother died early this morning from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident a few months ago. It was another persons fault too. Mommie & Poppie also celebrated their 27th anniversary last month. Mommie said alot of water has run under the bridge, some clear but alot cloudy and muddy. Funny because I dont see any bridges around here. Creek's and streams but no bridges. Oh well...any way it is a whole new month and starting out absolutely breath taking with the weather. Mommie is very pleased as it has gotten warmer and sunny. She hates cold. She has all the windows open and it feels so good to have the breeze flowing through the house. But she said when it gets hotter the next few weeks the A C will be going on. If she hates cold then why she want the A C on for?? Oh well, any way...HAPPY MAY to all and to all the Mommie's out there I wish you all a very HAPPY MOTHERS day up and coming.
