What I love about my owners: "She gives us lots of toys and food and warm places to sleep. She has taken care of us when we got sick. We have windows to look out at the birds. She kept me and my mom together. She loves us!"

How We Met
I'll let Candy tell it: "My mom was brought into the shelter with me and my brothers and sisters when we were kittens. They all got adopted but no one wanted me or my mom, so we were in the same cage for over a year. One snowy January day, a nice lady came into the shelter and said she wanted to adopt two cats together. I knew this was our chance! She came to look at us first and when she walked away to check out a few other cats, I reached out with my paw and snagged her purse strap. She said she didn't have to look at any more, that we had chosen her. We went home with her that day and have been together over nine years!"

It was a nice day today, don't know what happened to the rain. It did rain last night but sun any time is a good thing. Got mom time then we had company and Smokey and I headed to mom's room and each of us got into our own cat beds. Angel hid under mom's bed and Spunky, well she had fun out with everyone. She played, got into trouble, when mom went to get something out of the closet, boom there she goes up mom's clothes and into the hangers meowing at her. I wish I had a camcorder when she does that. No sight of Tom yet, mom's worried but put food out for him. He's usually her by now.
I hope everyone enjoyed their day with lots of sun.

Sure good to hear from you again. I thought maybe your momma had gone away or something. It sure is hard to get them to do our blogging sometimes. especially with the nice weather outside. Well we are all doing good. We had 3 new kitties abandoned here. Uncle scott had to put his doggie to forever sleep yesterday so that was sad. Well I hope you have a great day. How are you doing? I looked and we have not blogged since january. what happened there? How are your roommates? we are all doing fine here. My kitten that mommy adopted out is staying with us for a month now. She is so pretty, I think she takes after me hee hee. well she is the same color as me but she has long hair. she has two sisters now one orange sister with no tail and a grey and white sister. We got to watch the westminster with mommy on tv last night. There were alot of doggies there. Mommy said she probably saw your mommy in the crowd but she did not know what she looked like. hee hee. She should of wore a shirt that said "I'M CANDY'S MOM" on it then mommy would have recognized her hee hee. well That short funny black dog won. Mommy liked the whippet best. I like the puli, cuz I think it would be fun to hide under his belly. hee hee well I better go

I do not think I would have wanted to be there, imagine all those doggies looking at you while you walk by. Mommy likes to go too. she always wanted a beauceron, she use to see them at the shows and really liked them. Mommy only showed her husky and whippet. She was going to show her dalmatian too but he had something happen to his tail and the vet had to amputate it. mommy's Husky [his name was BLANMARS METOO] she called him Timber. He really liked the dog shows. If people would clap for him he would hold his head high up and show off. The judges really liked him and so did the crowds. Him and mommy's Whippet Benson are both over the rainbow bridge now but mommy still misses them. How come doggies get show names and home names and we only get one name. If I had a show name i think it should be Grey Fluffy dancing girl hee hee You could be High class brown fluff. hee hee well i better go watch the olympics. See you later

We are going to watch the skating. skiing and maybe some curling and hockey too. Mommy was so excited to hear that your mommy is going to the dog show. mommy use to show her doggies before and sure misses it. Well If your mommy does bring a doggie back she better realize that you have to give approval first. Cats rule remember. Hopefully she will not forget. We got to approve all of ours. well Have a great evening.

Did you get more snow? was your mommy able to get to the store for fancy feast? If she did not make it we could send our doggie and sled over with a case. hee hee Well I do not know if the food would make it cuz the doggie would probably stop for snacks along the way. we have not had snow for 2 days now. the sun was shining today but it was still cold. I found a sunbeam to lay in for a while. how deep is your snow? ours is up to mommy's knees. Oh mommy put some pictures of a moose and her baby on wahine's web page you should check it out the snow is half way up thier legs. well I better run. Mommy has to take the doggies outside again.

Has it warmed up down there yet? It finally did here and it is so much better. what have you been up to? we have just been playing with our christmas toys. We got a new doggie. well she has been here for 9 months as a rescue but the owner decided he did not want her back so he signed her over. we all did the happy dance cuz we were worried that she would have to go back. now she is safe forever. yeah! well I better go. mommy has to go do the outside chore and she wants to shut the computer off. -11? that is warm for us at this time of year. although today we had a chinook blow in and it warmed up to 0. the snow was melting and the sun was shining. that is good that a cat lady looks after you. do you put lots of hair on her clothes to take home. hee hee. I am feeling almost like new again. I tried out my jumping today and my tummy doesn't hurt. It is kind of cold though when I lay on the floor cuz my fur is missing off my tummy. . How cold does it get outside there at night? It gets really cold here. We have lots of room in our car port for a kitty box for ferals. Mommy has 2 of them made out of 2 inch styrofoam with straw in them. Each of them has a back area just big enough to sleep in and keep the kitties body heat close and the front has a room big enough for them to eat comfortably out of the wind and snow. Mommy put dry food in there for them. We only had one stay over night once this year. He was grey. I think Macho Uno will do fine with a box near your porch. Does he let your mommy near him? Do you have a humane society in your town? well I better go, time for my evening snack. Take care and be careful not knock the tree over hee hee. Purrs

we are so sorry to hear about Pie. She will be playing with our callie and samson over the rainbow bridge now. I hope that her brother will find a warm place to sleep. Mommy made a warm place for feral cats to sleep out by our camper. Mommy took Tobeka and I to the vet a week ago, what a weird trip. Mommy gave us to this lady and we got poked with a needle the next thing I knew I was in mommy's truck looking at an orange and white cat in a kennel on the other side of the seat. when I got home my tummy was sore but I feel better now. I thought the cat I saw was a dream but mommy said he is in the workshop with Rusty. Weird eh!. Mommy said he was a feral too but he will be warm for the winter now. What is Pie's brothers name? I am sure glad you and your roomates do not have to fend for yourselves out in the cold. we are happy for that here too. Well I want to wish you all a very Meowy christmas, and I send you all some purrs.

the thing mommy saw on tv about those kitties was that a elderly man started feeding the feral kitties there, then some others started to help him. when the documentary was made the man was in his 80's and he still went to see the kitties daily. Mommy said that she he passed away. I think that he was an angel here on earth and deserves a crown now. Mommy has only been there once and that was in 1982. she said there was lots of big black squirrels that the kitties were chasing. she said that it is a pretty city. I have never been there but I think I will just stay home. Well I hope you had a great day. That is soo exciting that your mommy got to see the parliment hill kitties. We saw a thing on tv about them and the people that care for them. Those humans need a metal for taking time out to go and look after them. Which one did your mommy get to pet? How are your new chairs? have you been able to do a little scratching on them yet? guess what, our mommy was going to the lake today and she saw a big grizzley bear cross the road. Thomas was at the window yesterday when the momma deer and her triplets were in the yard. they are almost as big as thier mommy now. anyway, thomas called us to look cuz 2 of the babies were drinking from their mommy. Our mommy drove in the yard just at that time and her headlights lit them up so we could see them good. it was funny cuz they were lifting their mommy's feet right off the ground Hee Hee. well I better go have xupper, Moew with you later. say Hi to your roomates for me

oh I was hoping that you got to all the chairs, I do not think I would like to sit on them with them smelling like that either. well if you have to wait at least you can get a few more hairs ready for it. Yeah the little fish did not come home hee hee. Mommy saw Mohogany staring at them the other day. we are still not telling mommy any thing. well if she would go fishing and bring us some home we would not have to catch our own. The girls had thier surgeries today and mommy's friend brought them home. Sweetheart was not impressed at she even hissed at mommys friend.. hee hee. she has had a little dring and a bite to eat so she is doing better now. bally is pretty sleepy still but she is not hissing. mommy is so glad that all went well. that vet did a boo boo on one of mommy's friends dogs during its neuter surgery. he gave the dog the sleeping medicine and then forgot to put him on the oxygen for over 5 minutes. The dog did ok though. he might have lost a few brain cells but he is a dog so who would notice hee hee. well I better go to my window seat and check on the deer. They have the biggest ears. well meow for now

sounds like the concert was good. that was neat that they played your song. hee hee. We tried to tell mommy that the fish ran away but she did not believe us for some reason. I was sure I saw him packing his suit cases hee hee. Mommy's niece was over and was asking where the fish was. Mommy told her that we ate it but the neice said that we would not do that. at least she is on our side. No we never got in trouble for it because mommy does not know who did it. Your chairs should be comfy now for sleeping on. did you put lots of hair on each of them? well I better go, take care and enjoy your nap on the new soft chair.

How are you all doing? we are fine. One of us is in trouble cuz the black gold fish is missing. we did not tell mommy who did it though. She went and bought a smaller tank that does not have any openings on the top. the other tank had an opening just big enough for a paw and a fish to fit through hee hee. I got in trouble today cause I did not see mommy coming and I pushed the papers off the kitchen counter just as she came around the corner. then I ran hee hee. Just had to stop by and meet you. Your calico like me. We used to have the sweetest dog named 'Kandy' so when I saw your name, I had to stop by and see you. I'm not real big on dogs, but Kandy was one in a million, she was part Golden Retriever, part Corgi and she loved everybody, even cats. We also used to have a dog named Lady, who helped keep me warm when I was under the weather. OMG! You're from West Orange, New Jersey, that's where my dad was born!! Cool! Yes mommy agrees that you need lots of room to have a camper for kitties. It is great that you have 4 ferals that are getting their tummies fills. Headbonks for your mommy. Well I hope that you are having a good day. they called for snow here last night but when we woke up there wasn't any. the dogs went out and said it was warm out. Ballerina and Sweetheart have a vet appointment next week for their girl surgeries. Mommy did not tell them yet and I am not saying anything. yeah, tell your mommy not to worry about the neighbors. Maybe they should sleep out in the cold hee hee. Mommy just 2 days ago went out and got the shelters ready outside. She was going to sell her little camper trailer but decided to keep it incase lots of kitties came in this winter. she thought she could put a heater in there and keep some more kitties warm. you should have seen Tobeka the other day, she was playing with the dog and the dog pounced on her. she turned around and scratched the dog on the nose, hee hee the dog Yelped and it made us all jump. mommy had a hawk come to the rescue yesterday. it had a broken wing and it was in lots of pain. the Wild life rescue said they couldn't fix the bird so mommy had the RCMP put it to sleep. it was very sad cause it was a nice looking bird. Mommy never even let us have the bird after, what is up with that. We would have had enough bird for all of us to share. she said our cat food was good enough. yuk. well I better go . your poor feral kitties. being cold is not nice. Mommy has a insulated box in the yard that our ferals can climb into. she puts straw in it for them and food in the winter. One of the ferals climbed up on the motor of mommy's car one year to try to get warm and froze to death over night. it was not a nice way to go over the rainbow bridge. mommy is still sad for that kitty. mommy is sick today and she looks yukky but don't tell her I told you that. Her eyes are all red and she sounds like she is trying to hack up a hairball. we cannot even lay on her cuz she is too hot. Well I better go mommy is going to turn the computer off. Meow for now. Say hi to the gang there for me.

Mommy is like your mommy. the dr asked her to give up her kitties too but she said no. She says kitties are family and you do not give up family. That box looks like so much fun. I will have to be really good this week and see if mommy will bring me one. Well it is sunny here again today so mommy said I better enjoy the sunbeams cuz the snow is coming soon. How are you? We are doing good. the one chihuahua that just came for the weekend went home on monday. the other one is still here. They are pretty small. I think I have choked up a few hair balls bigger than they are.hee hee. Ladybug is the one that stays here for a while and she likes to hog mommys lap so we do not like that much. the other ones name that just stays occasionally is Indiana jones. mommy just calls him indy. which our other dog Bindi gets confused about. mommy calls one of them and they both come. stupid dogs hee hee. I could tell the differnce. Mommy said that she likes it when people give money to the animal shelters cuz it really helps the animals, she says your mommy is very kind. Your mommy is smart to keep the numbers down in your house if it is just a small house.
Mommy wants to find a few more adoptive homes for some of the ones here because mommy is allergic to cats and it helps here if there is not too many of us around. well I better go mommy wants to turn the computer off soon and the other kitties are getting impatient with me taking so long to type.

Hi precious. It was really nice here today. It has been cloudy and cool with a breeze. My human opened the windows and there's a nice breeze coming through the windows. I'm glad the feral cats are doing okay. It's sad they have no home but at least they get food. I'll chat with you later.
