My name is Joey and I am a 2 year old Maine Coon from Concord, NC. I was a stray when my momma found me. I was droped of by my old owners in a strange neighborhood with no one to take care of me. I was left without food, water and shelter. I was skinny, small and homeless. I wondered up on my owner's porch. They thought I was a bobcat at first! MOL!
With a little help, I tured out to be the sweetest and most loveable cat you'll ever meet.
I would like to get COTD to show the world that cats need homes. Cats need a loving family to take them in and call them their own.
I am proud to say that I will stand up for the homeless....I will speek for the lowly....and I will never let another cat be without a home again!
Getting COTD is a honor for me. I've never gotten one yet and I would love to have one!!

It's 64* here and mom has only opened up one window, I don't know how she expects all of us to get in that one window.
She said she is working on it, I know she will open up the one in the upstairs kitty room 'cause she is getting ready to clean the litter boxes, ewwww, sure glad she has to do that and not us, hehe.

I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to write ! It is very, very dry here and mom has to water all of the plants and fruit trees when she gets home from work. That takes a lot of time that could be spent helping us write to our friends. There really isn't much going on here. With the dry weather lots of rodents come to drink our water. We catch them. we're buying a house in Kenai, a city way bigger than Anchor Point, 1 hour from here. The house is right on a lake & much bigger than what we've made work for so long. We're all very excited & can't wait to move. It'll be a really good place fur us. Mom tells us we'll have lots o' fun in new house & her room will be much bigger so she can have kittytrees in there & fun stuff. Mom's dad said we'll put in fence for the doggies. They've never had fence & it'd be so good for 'em. (and us, to get 'em outta our fur,mol!) Hope we haven't meowed your ears off..we're sorry fur not blogging much, seems the only solution would be to change password so dogs can't get on DogChannel anymore...ah but then mom would give it away...What's a cat to do?! Hope things are goin' really well in your life right now. We want you to know we keep you all in our prayers & thoughts and Please remember we always look so forward to meowing with you 'gain!

Meow meow howl yowl growl...(beginning translation here) HELLO FURIENDS! Oh how we have missed you! WHEN did we come by last? When when when?! Yeah, THERE'S something fur you to think bout, mom! We're real sorry fur the *long* absence of ours. We love reading your blogs & visiting ya'll, seeing your cute faces always brings us so much joy. It's hard fur mom to stay caught up with all us pets' blogs. It would be SO much easier if she had just US to blog fur. But no, we just HAVE to share with the dogs, rabbit, hamsters & OH it's just too much. Why can't mom just blog fur US?! Then we'd never be behind. Whata thought (don't put it into realization, cuz it'll NEVER happen). Mom feels overwhelmed trying to get to all our blogs soon as she can but it's too late fur any of us to quit the channels. We've all made wonderfur furiends on each & we'll just do the best we can. You always tell us no apologies needed & you'll still keep bein our furiends...but we can't help from feeling bad. We know you'd like to hear from us more often...at least, we hope so anyway. mol. Us kitties have been purrfect so then of course everything's great. MOL! But the humans been real busy (like that's anything new).
Last month we had a huge surprise when we received a package with lots of toys from Mickey's sweet girl Lola & family in Buenos Aires. We are so loving our new toys. There are lots of pics on page 2 of our photos (our Valentine's Day ones are on pg 1!) of us --mostly Mickey-- with the toys. Hope you'll take a minute to see them as Lolita was so nice to send them to us. :)
On Feb 4th mom found a crow with hurt wing hoppin round. She felt sorry for it & couldn't leave it to get hit in the road (where 'twas headin) so she brought it home. We know, how NUTS is that?! And even worse...she been feedin 'im SALMON! What a waist...not like we'd eat it anyway but still. An she keeps tellin bird how bootiful it is, when we can't understand what she talkin bout. How can a bird be "purty"? We don't get it. Mom won't let us in the bthrm anymore cuz that's where birdie's stayin...poor K.C...he needs his sink!(the petfountain just isn't the same, mol). The birdie never makes a peep except when we've sneaked into the bthrm few times & then it starts makin real loud crazy noises tryin to scare us off & then mom 'comes to the rescue' but we weren't gonna hurt it, mom, just seein how it is-mom doesn't by it-mol. It doesn't seem scared of us, just really MAD. Whatever, mom can have the bird..we'll stick to catnip & birdwatchin through windows.
Anyway, we've some pretty big news. When we moved into this rental the landlords wanted us to stay fur long time but recently they got job in this town & can't find house nice as this 1 we're renting so they'd like to live in it. We started lookin for a house to buy. One day mom was gone all day & when she came back she had very exciting news fur us...

The temperature was high 51 & low was 43 this morning, now it's 42 with humidity 100% & wind is Calm. Monday's suppose to be Light Rain/Wind & 52.

Today has been another quiet and relaxing day for us all. Mom fell asleep sitting up on the couch while Pappoose 10366 was asleep next to mom again and Rhoamin 2921 was on the other side of Pappoose. Later in the afternoon, mom did some chores with getting the trash out to the curb.
