>^..^<*~ Please give a COTD VOTE of support Thursday, APRIL 15th, to Sir Snuffy the snuffers, #84403, the sick little rescue kitten who grew up to become the big bold black & white prince of his Texas home. You know a little something about 2 year old Snuffy as he is the loving brother of Sweet Miss Sprinkles! The family went with their daughter Stacy to look for a kitten in need of a home at their local SPCA and when Stacy saw Sprinkles & her brother Snuffy she said “Look at the little cow kittens!” They were planning on adopting just Sprinkles, Snuffy’s sister, but when they saw the two sibling kittens playing together, they decided to keep them together and just had to have Snuffy too! They could tell the siblings shared a special bond and did not have the heart to break them up. The family scooped up Sprinkles, along with her brother Snuffy and their human “sis” Stacy became their surrogate mom! The 2 kittens both had bad colds while in the SPCA Cat Center and the family took them home to be nursed back to health & loved.
Snuffy was the smaller of the two siblings and he was the sickest, sneezing with a bad case of sniffles. He had to go to the regular vet as well as the vet at the SPCA. Every time sick little newly adopted Snuffy sneezed, his human sis would ask if he was ok. Ever since then, when one of the humans in the family sneezes or coughs, Snuffy the snuffers meow at them, asking if they're okay! The vet gave Snuffy some great medicine and told his family that Snuffy didn't want to eat because he couldn't smell the food. She told them to get Snuffy some strong-smelling cat food! The family force-fed sick little Snuffy until he realized that the food was some good stuff! Snuffy the snuffer has had a great appetite ever since. To this day, he loves to eat FISH! As a sick kitten, Snuffy was smaller than his sister, Sprinkles, but now he is a really big sweet boy with a talent for opening doors! Very sad
I know that you do not know us, but we just received word that Jim passed away. We are so saddened by this news and are very worried about his kitties. What will be happening to them? Is there anything we can to to help rehome them? Please let us know, we will do whatever we can to help. Slipper muncher apprehended, caught red pawed. Our dad watches too many CSI films. He put the good slipper out on the floor all nite and no takers. He went into his bed room and watched thru the door. A sleek dark silhouwette eased toward the slipper. A stalk, a butt wiggle and the pounce. Dad watched as the villian began munching on the hapless slipper. He opened the door, turned on the light. There was Taz with the evidence on her whiskers. Slipper fur. Taz is now serving time in the porch. Zippi visits her regularly. Taz has had her allowance taken away til the slipper is paid for.
