Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
Our weather cooled off a touch into the low 70’s today. According to the weatherman, no rain is in the forecast until maybe sometime next week. The creek by our house is very low and the duck population has thinned out. A few duckies are holding out for the treats we bring them every morning during our stroller walk. MOL! There is a reservoir about 7-8 miles up the road from us that still has water. Hopefully the ducks can fly their way over there if need be.

We’re all fine, catnapping in the back yard while Mom cleaned house. Geez, is it time for spring cleaning already?! Sure feels like it! We wish we could trade off some of our sun for snow with our furiends back east. Wouldn’t that be nice?!

Boy, sweet Angel Nosey sure was lucky when your Dad grabbed her from the windowsill while it was snowing! She must have had angels watching over her.

Holly sounds so adorable! I wonder how much she'll weigh when she stops growing? I used to weigh 15 pounds when I was younger and Mom used to call me her Big Baby Boy! Now I'm just her Baby Boy!:)

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

People that don't like cats haven't met the right one yet.

Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We’re off to a late start today with my meows. My Mom was gone all morning running errands and when she got home, she was busy rearranging the bedroom. We didn’t want to hang around and watch, so since the sun is shining again today, us cats have been out in the backyard catnapping.

My Mom was worried about our furry outdoor furiend Scamper when he wasn’t home to eat last night. Mom kept calling him and shaking a bag of Temptations until about 8 o’clock, when he finally came running from down the street! Pretty good for a stray cat! Scamper ran into his cathouse and watched while Mom got his dinner ready. He doesn’t eat until Mom walks back into the garage. So he ate all his food, took a bath while Mom chatted with him and then he sauntered back to his cathouse for the night. MOL!

Ah, the cardinal sounds beautiful! Hope he has a place to go when it gets so cold!

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
Today is supposed to be the warmest day of the week hitting 80 degrees here in San Jose. It’s hard to believe it’s still only early February. We’re keeping all our furiends in the northeast in our prayers as they get hit with yet another snowstorm. We sure wish we could send them some of our weather.

Our outside furry furiend Scamper has still eluded the cat trap, but at least our neighbor’s cat hasn’t gotten herself trapped again. Scamper has been gone during the day, probably because of the spring-like weather, but he comes home at night to eat and sleep. My Mom is still talking with him in the evenings with hopes she’ll be able to get closer to him soon. Scamper is one wary cat and this could take a while.

My Mom ordered an “Octagon Portable Pet Pen” from Drs Foster and Smith website today. She is worried about me hurting myself after my surgery next week. This Pet Pen looks really neat. It unfolds in seconds and is a roomy 36” x 36” x 23” high. My bed and a small litter box should fit easily. Mom is going to set it up in the bedroom for me. The mesh walls are see-through so she can keep an eye on me and hopefully I won’t rip my stitches out. I hope there’s room for treats too. MOL!

We hope your Mom can get to the store for cat food before the weather gets too bad. Remind her to be careful! We'll keep all of you in our prayers.

Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We’re having spring-like weather this week with temps in the high 70’s. Not good news for the drought, but it’s hard not to enjoy it. Mom took Callie and me on our stroller walk this morning where we fed the ducks and birds and filled up the water bucket. The creek is still flowing, but if the weather stays this way, it won’t be for long. We hope the ducks have somewhere else to swim.:(

Thanks for the well wishes for me sweet furiends. I know I'll be just fine with you holding my paw during the surgery!

Wow! Holly is a big girl! But poor baby was so scared at the vet she was shaking. We hope she forgave your Mom quickly! Give sweet Holly a big hug for us.

Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
My trip to the vet yesterday lasted a bit longer than we had expected. My vet Dr. Natt, was ready to perform a Cystocentesis on me (a big word for manually collecting my urine sample), when I couldn’t hold it any longer. Yep, I had to pee. :( Hee, hee! And it went all over the vet’s assistant.) What I didn’t realize was that meant I had to have a Lasix injection to help me pee again, and we had to wait for the Lasix to work. Soooo, Mom sat with me in the dreaded back room at the vet, with all the barking and whiney doggies. It wasn’t too long before the vet took us back and got a good sample from me. Dr. Natt will call us with the results Saturday morning. The doc indicated my urine sample looked clear, which is good. I did lose a half of a pound, from 13 pounds to 12.5, but Dr. Natt is not worried, as long as I don’t lose any more weight. In my younger, stronger years, I weighed in at 15 pounds. Ah, to be young again. MOL! Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers. It helps so much!
~~~
We just got a call from my vet. There is still blood showing up in my urine; not a lot, but more than my last test results. After conferring with the doctor, my Mom has scheduled me to have the cystotomy on February 18th. The doctor will flush my bladder, removing the tiny mineral calculi that is causing the problem. I’m basically in good health, so better to have the surgery done now. :-)
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
Well, the cat trap my Mom set to hopefully capture our outside furiend Scamper works, but it didn’t trap Scamper. Oh no! He is much to street-smart for that! It did trap our neighbor’s cat from across the street! Her name is Lola, a pretty little black cat whom has gotten herself trapped a few other times. Lola wasn’t scared. She was eating the bowl of tuna in the cage when Mom let her out. Scamper was under the car in the driveway, watching and probably laughing his head off! Mom is going to have to go to plan B and try to win Scamper’s trust with patience and a lot of talking. MOL!
Tomorrow morning is my day at the vet for a check-up and another urine sample. Mom is going to have the vet take the sample directly from my bladder so I don’t have to stay there all day waiting around until I feel like giving a sample. Wish me luck!
We have our paws crossed for Holly to have a smooth visit to the vet this weekend. We're glad to hear the warmer weather has melted all your snow. We hope it stays that way.
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We’re running way behind on our meows today and apologize for the cut and paste! :( Denise, the nice lady from Alley Cat Allies was here this morning. She was only able to see our outside furry guest, for a brief few seconds. He took off as her car pulled up to our house, but Denise saw enough to comment, “That is one large cat!” Mom was able to get a couple of photos of him on her iPhone, but they’re not the best. Denise got an idea of what he looks like. She brought the microchip reader, but Mom isn’t too confident that she’ll be able to get close enough to the big guy anytime soon. But, we’ll keep it for two days and give it a shot. Denise is coming back tonight with a new humane animal trapper for Mom to try. Mom’s animal trapper is 12 years old and looks it! Denise thinks Mom’s best chance at getting this furry guy is with a trap. Don’t tell my Dad, but Mom has given our furry furiend a name ...Scamper. Hey, every cat deserves a name!
We had frost on the roofs this morning; chilly for us. We’re expecting rain tonight and that’s it for the next week. Super Bowl weekend is expected to be in the 70’s!
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We’re happy to report we got a light rain all morning and the sun peeked out for a couple of hours, but boy is it chilly outside. It was 39 degrees when Dad left for work and we’re expecting a high of 51. It was windy too, so Mom was on her own when she went to check the creek, fill up the water bucket and most importantly now, feed the ducks. MOL! They love their poultry pellets! Mom only takes a small bag full so hopefully it will be a treat for them!
All of us kitties are catnapping in the windows today. It’s too wet outside and too cold! Mom took our next door neighbor Abarna to her doctor’s appointment today. Abarna is doing fine; it was just a check up. They had lunch afterwards at the hospital. Sounds gross huh? Mom’s says the hospital has a very nice Sandwich Shop that prides themselves on the fresh vegetables they use. Needless to say, we weren’t too interested in any leftovers. Hee, hee!
Oh no! We hope your Dad's shoulder will get better with rest and maybe soaking in a warm tub. A snow blower must not only be heavy, but big and awkward too! That's how they look to us on the news! Be sure to give him lots of purr therapy!
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We finally made it to Queen Angel Mallow’s Coronation yesterday, but not without a battle. That darn CC sure has bad timing when it comes to having internet issues! But it all turned out well and another glorious crowning made it to the CC archive books. The CC Angels must have been watching over us!
We got a half-inch of rain here yesterday, so the creek by our house looked pretty good today on our stroller walk. But it is and will be chilly all day with highs in the low 50’s. I know, chilly for us Californians!
We’re all doing fine. I’m scheduled to go to the vet on Friday for another urine test to see how my numbers are doing. Not looking forward to that at all. I’ve been eating my prescription cat food like a good boy, so I expect good results.:)
The gray striped kitty that has been staying in our outside cathouse is doing fine, eating great and letting our Mom get closer to him. Mom is trying to get a good picture of him to post on my page. The lady from Alley Cat Allies, whom has helped Mom a lot with other stray cats, is coming to our house on Wednesday. She is bringing the microchip scanner to loan to Mom and she wants to hopefully get a look at the cat.
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We got a little bit of drizzle last night, but this morning it was just dark and cloudy outside. Rain is reportedly on the way. Mom took Callie and me on our stroller walk. We filled the water bucket and fed the ducks some breadcrumbs one last time. Mom found a feed store nearby that sells something called poultry pellets that is better for the ducks. Mom is going to pick some up this afternoon. They only come in 50 lb bags so Mom is hoping she can get it out of the car. Or else wait until Dad gets home. Thanks for the tip from your Mom sweet furiend. My Mom didn't think bread could be good for ducks. Mom got the poultry pellets today at a feed store. The big bag is still in the car, waiting for Dad to come home. MOL!
Our furry furiend is still staying in the outside cathouse and eating very well. He no longer looks thin at all. His head always seemed large in proportion to his body, but now he looks like a big, strong cat. Mom is getting closer to him, without him taking off. Mom got close enough last night to make eye contact with him. He stared at Mom but never blinked! Not one time. But he didn’t run either. Progress! Her next goal is to get a picture of him.
We can hardly wait to see the new picture of Holly. She sounds like a very happy kitty! And she should be! Just look at the loving family she has. Your family is the best!
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
The local weather lady reported we’ll be getting rain tomorrow lasting through the weekend. Yay! The creek by our house sure needs it. The ducks in the creek must know something because there were more of them this morning swimming happily and quacking like crazy. They must have heard that Mom brings treats for them. MOL! They seem to love bread crumbs. Mom is going to check at Petco to see if they sell duck food. Bread can’t be too good for them.
Today Mom put the awful smelling Revolution flea medicine on us, so we are all snubbing her. Our Dad went back to work today, his cold almost gone, so Mom is continuing with the house cleaning. Better to get it done now before it rains and then we’re all stuck inside with the noisy vacuum monster. It’s sunny today so we’ll escape out in the backyard.
Your poor, sweet Dad. He have to drive in that awful weather to get Ling her Meow Mix food?! Now is that love or what?! Your pawrents are the best! We're glad Holly and Percey are getting along so well together. Good for sweet Percey! Try to stay safe and warm dear furiends.
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
It was a chilly 46 degrees this morning on our stroller walk, but the sun was shining and should warm up to the high 60’s later. The creek has gone down measurably, but the water is flowing enough to keep the ducks happy. We wonder where the ducks went when the creek was dry? Mom brought a bag bread crumbs for them. We filled the water bucket and scattered bird seed along the trail. There were lots of birds out today. They must think Spring is here! We’re predicted to get more rain this weekend, but we shall see.
Our Mom got worried yesterday when she didn’t see our mew outside furiend in the cathouse. Guess he was out enjoying the sun. Mom took the opportunity to change his bedding and put fresh straw in the cathouse. At dinnertime, Mom made a lot of noise with the food to see if he would come home. Mom was about to give up when she saw him hiding across the street under a parked car, just watching. An hour later the food was gone. It is going to be tricky trying to catch this little guy, but Mom will keep working on it. After reading all of Angel Mallow’s heartwarming stories about cats with microchips, we are determined to get this kitty scanned. You just never know!
Our Dad took one more sick day from school. He sounds and feels a lot better, but Mom convinced him to stay home and rest today. Mom took his lessons plans to school, so he didn’t have an excuse to go to work. Thanks for your get well wishes for our Dad. They worked like a charm!
We hope your snow is still melting and you are all safe. Be sure to give your precious family warm angel kitty hugs for us sweet furiend.
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
The sun is shining today and we might even get into the low 70’s by Thursday. I guess that means the creek by our house will continue to get lower and lower. We keep filling up the bucket anyway, rain or shine. We even saw a couple of ducks paddling around the creek while we were on our stroller walk.
We never like to hear the vacuum monster let loose in the house, but if has to happen, we couldn’t have ask for a better day to catnap outside. Our Dad took a sick day off, so he’s resting quietly. His cough is better already. He just needs a day or two, we hope, in bed.
We’re keeping our dear furiend King Monty in our prayers as his family prepares to help him over the Rainbow Bridge. It warmed our hearts to hear of all the Angels that will be there to welcome him to Heaven. We’re also keeping his fursister Katie Louise in our prayers, hoping she can recover quickly. So much sadness and worry for their dear family.:( This is when our CC furmily shines the brightest. We’ll help them get through this tough time together.
We feel so sorry for your poor Mom being trapped inside her house. At least she has all of her furbabies to keep her company. We're glad she doesn't go out in the snow. Much too scary and dangerous. We're keeping your dear family in our prayers.
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
Over 30 inches of snow?! Oh my goodness! We've been watching the weather channel and we have your family in our thoughts and prayers. We hope your pawrents are doing okay, not getting too scared. We hope you guys have family or friends who can help your pawrents shovel the snow ! God bless your dear family.
The sun was shining today with a nice crisp feel in the air. Mom took Callie and me on our stroller walk this morning. It was still a bit chilly, so Mom put our bed warmers inside the stroller. The creek is flowing nicely, although we could tell it is already beginning to recede. No more rain is expected for the next few days. The weather lady said we’ve gotten about 12 inches of rain total, a good start, but we’ll need at least 20 more inches to make a dent in the local reservoirs.
Mom put our cat beds back outside in the backyard so we could all get out of the house and stretch our paws; maybe even catnap for a few hours! We’ve been going a bit stir crazy confined inside the house. Callie and Whitey got into a fight this morning, but Mom checked them both out and they are okay. You know how sisters can sometimes be! Hee, hee, hee!
Our Dad is coming down with a head and chest cold.:( Mom bought day and night time cough medicine and they are both drinking liquid Vit C drinks every few hours. Mom does not want to get sick!
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
Today we were having off and on showers with a little bit of sun in between. We wish we could send our weather to our furiends back east. We’ve been watching the weather channel showing the massive snowstorm they are experiencing and it looks very scary. We hope and pray all the stray animals out there are able to find shelter. It breaks our hearts. We’ll never complain about our weather in California again.:(
Our mew outside furry furiend was safe and dry inside the cathouse this morning. After he finished eating his wet food, Mom warmed up some lactose-free milk for him, set it down and went back inside the house. Half hour later the milk was gone. He used to eat all the dry food too, but now he must just be grazing on it. Hey, he sounds like we used to be! Humph! Mom had to put a stop to our ‘grazing’ cat food bowls. (Heavy sigh!)
We have your dear, precious family in our prayers sweetie. We are so worried and hope your Mom and Dad can stay home with all of you. We can't even imagine how frightened you must all be. Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
Yesterday my Mom spent the morning at the vet (Without us! Whew!), to get more of our prescription cat food and chat with Dr. Natt. It just so happened Dr. Natt wasn’t busy. A rare occasion indeed. I’ll be going in for my usual urine and blood test in February. The doctor wanted to know how I was doing as far as eating my special food and just my overall health in general. Mom was happy to report the night before she was woken up by the sounds of a buffalo running up and down the stairs! Hee, hee, hee! It was me! I don’t know about the buffalo part- maybe a wild horse! Dr. Natt looked through my medical charts and told Mom if my test results are still acceptable, she might only need to have me tested every 3 months. Wouldn’t that be great? Mom told me not to get my hopes up. I think the ole girl is starting to feel better with my testing every month. I know she doesn’t want to get caught off guard. You know how our pawrents are!
We are getting some rain today, not a lot, but we’ll take it. We’ve been watching the weather channel and are keeping all our furiends back east in our prayers, especially the animals that don’t have a warm shelter to go to.
My Mom is keeping an eye on our furry guest in the cathouse. He is eating well and seems to be sleeping in the cathouse most of the time. Smart cat!
We hope and pray your family is staying safe and warm sweetie. Hopefully your Mom and Dad can stay home. God bless you dear friends.
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We’re getting a break from the rain today, but another storm is expected to hit on Friday. Our Dad said there are a lot of potholes on the roadways, so hopefully the road workers will have a chance to fix them before the next rain.
On our stroller walk this morning, we were surprised to see how much the water in the creek went down. Guess it’s going to take a lot more rain to keep it running.
We saw on the news that our furiends back east are bracing for severe weather. We have all of you in our prayers.
We have a new furry guest that has been staying in our outdoor cathouse. He or she is a gray tabby. Mom had seen the cat a few times eating from the outside feeding station, but since the rain, he has taken up residence in the dry and warm cathouse. The gray tabby looks like a male, so we’ll refer to him as a he. At first he ran away every time our Mom filled up the food bowls, but now he just waits and watches warily from inside the cathouse. Mom cannot make eye contact because this seems to make him run. So Mom just talks softly while she replenishes the bowls. Baby steps. MOL!
We are so glad your Dad has Friday off. We hope the storm doesn't get too bad before then. We have your precious family in our prayers. Holly is such a character! She sounds very happy. We hope her fursibs get used to her. It must be rough having a new kitty come to your house and chase your butt! MOL!
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
Well, we’ve been praying for rain and we sure got hit last night into this morning. We couldn’t go on our stroller walk this morning, but Mom got out her umbrella to check out the creek. It’s really flowing now! We can hardly wait to see it when the sun starts shining again.
Our Dad left a half early for work, knowing there would be a lot of crazy drivers out. And it was good thing he did. The freeway he takes to work was the scene of a horrific bus accident where two people were killed. You can be sure our Mom said a lot of extra prayers this morning!
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We could hear the rain falling last night (Mom opens the window just a crack) but we got a break during our stroller walk this morning. We’re expected to get about a half an inch of rain every day, for the next three days. That would be just purrfect for our creek.
Mom and Dad went grocery shopping and us cats will be helping our Mom make a chicken vegetable soup today. I’m smacking my lips just thinking about the slow cooked chicken. Yum!
Not much else going on here. It’s football weekend for us. Our Dad gets Monday off from work for Martin Luther King Day. Yay! We hope you all have a nice, warm, relaxing Sunday with your loving families.
We can't blame Holly for getting so attached to your dear Mom. Who wouldn't?! There's a lot of love in your house! Wish every cat could experience it!
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
Today the sun is shining but we’re expected to get rain starting tonight and lasting until Tuesday. The creek by our house is still flowing, but could use a boost. Mom still fills up the bucket on the trail since it’s always empty when we go on our stroller walks. Today we saw a man walking his cat on the paved trail. We stopped to say hi. The cat named Lucky looked quite happy with his harness and leash. Mom said she might try it on us. I gave my Mom the “Evie-eye” and said , “No way! I’m quite happy in the stroller, thank you very much!” MOL!
We hope you all have a great weekend and stay safe and warm.
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We got a half an inch of rain last night and today we’ve been getting on and off showers. Mom took her umbrella on our stroller walk this morning, but she didn’t need it until the end of our walk. Suddenly the rain came down and we had to jog the rest of the way home. Hee, hee, hee! It was fun! Callie and I stayed dry and warm. The temperature is not too cold; just in the high 50’s, so we might get to go outside for a while.
We'll keep Holly in our prayers when she goes to get her booster shots. We all know how much fun that is! NOT!
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
The sun is shining today so it didn’t feel as chilly outside, but Mom went ahead and
put our Snuggle Safe bed warmers in our stroller when we went for our walk. We were happy to see the creek is still flowing and hopefully we’ll get more rain during the week. More rain is predicted, but it won’t be a deluge like we had last week. Hooray!
Mom let out the vacuum monster this morning, so we’re going to stay in the backyard as long as we can. And Mom did a very bad thing today! When she took the vacuum monster out of the closet, she didn’t see me slip inside. I just wanted to see if there were any left over Christmas presents hiding in there. MOL! Luckily a few minutes after Mom had shut the closet door, she checked outside to take a head count and she didn’t see me! After checking upstairs, she started to panic. Then she heard my very distinctive meow, but couldn’t tell where it was coming from. Then a bulb went off in her silly head! She opened the closet door and I came leaping out, gasping for breath. Hee, hee, hee! Not really gasping; just scared. I was only locked up for a few minutes. I forgave Mom quickly when she smothered me in hugs. Maybe now Mom will remember the cardinal rule in this house...Never open and close a closet door without checking first! Now how hard can that be to remember, I ask?!
We're glad to hear your Mom made it to the store for all the cat stuff, even in the pouring rain! Now is that love, or what?! Stay safe and warm dear furiends.
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We got a little bit of light drizzle this morning, but now it’s dark, cloudy and windy, making it quite chilly outside. Mom left us with Dad this morning so she could go grocery shopping. We were all looking out the bay window when she got home, hoping for some treats. No luck there, since we’ve all have to cut down on our treats, but we can smell Mom boiling us some chicken in the kitchen. Yummy!
We are all very sad at losing so many of our dear furiends recently. We do wish Angel Mallow could get a big padlock on Heaven’s Gate so all this sadness would stop. (Heavy sigh!) At least we know our dear CC angel furiends were and always will be loved and all had wonderful lives, if only for a short time.
We were all trying to visualize sweet Holly attacking Yogi's butt, and we laughed and laughed. Holly sure is spunky! Holly is probably still over the moon with excitement at having a wonderful, loving home!
We hope its not raining too hard when your Mom goes to Petsmart. Lots of bad drivers out there when it rains! Be careful Mom!
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
It was a chilly 40 degrees this morning when our Mom took us for a stroller walk, but she made sure to heat up our bed warmers, which make the inside of the stroller nice and toasty. The creek is stilling running, although it has gone down quite a bit more. We’re expecting more rain tonight into Saturday, but only a half-inch of rain is predicted. We wish we could have more days like that, where the rain is not so intense.
Mom was cleaning house today and changing all the kitty litter in our boxes. We like to follow her around when she does that, and when she finishes, we all race to the boxes to be the first to kick up some sand. MOL!
We hope you all have a nice, relaxing weekend with your loving families.
What?! Holly is afraid of sweet little Rosie?! It's funny how some of cats take longer to get acquainted than others. I like to think I'm the "mellow fellow" in the family. Hee, hee! Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
The rainstorms are over and we are all safe. Our Mom went to the creek (without us again!) to check the water flow and to bury the bucket again while it’s sunny outside. The water already went way down from yesterday, but it is still flowing. Mom found a good spot to place the water bucket, at the top of the hill this time. Hopefully, no one will come by and take it; for whatever reason. You know how silly some humans can be! The walking trail was very muddy, so Mom was glad she didn’t bring us out in our stroller. It would have been a bumpy ride! There were construction guys cleaning up the debris, so tomorrow we should be back out. Hooray!
Since the sun was shining most of the day, all four of us kitties were catnapping in our beds on the deck. The ground was wet everywhere, but it didn’t bother me. My sisters on the other hand, kept shaking their paws as they walked around exploring. Prima donnas! MOL!
That's funny that Holly likes to eat human food. None of us have ever cared for human food, except when Mom boils us a piece of chicken. It's probably better that way. My sisters could all stand to lose a pound or two. (I better run and hide after mewing that out loud!)
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
The rain has been coming down in buckets today, starting at 4 a.m. this morning. We’ve had several power outages today, so Mom took a quick walk outside to see the Gas & Electric crew out working in the rain. Mom also took a walk (without us!) down to check out the creek, which finally has running water. Yay! The bucket that we fill up everyday on our walks was underwater. Mom had buried the bucket close to the creek, and surrounded it with rocks. She could see the water rippling where the bucket was buried. So what did Mom do? See climbed down the hill real quick, pulled the bucket out and will bury it again when the rain stops. Only this time she’ll put it at the top of the hill. If it keeps raining hard like this, we won’t need the bucket! Bet the animals are happy.
The power outages seem to have affected CC on our computer. The page formatting is gone, making it hard to read, but we’ll keep trying. We hope all our furiends are safe and warm with their families. Well, we kept wishing for rain, and we need it, but did it really have to come all at once?! Humans are never happy. MOL!
We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
It’s raining, it’s pouring, the old cat is snoring! MOL! Yup, we’re getting a lot of rain finally. It lasted all morning and now it’s just a steady rain. All the trees and plants look so happy. We’ve all been watching the downpour from the bay windows, wondering what the heck is going on. We’ve forgotten what rain looks like. Hee, hee!
Since we’re all stuck inside, Mom is doing all the laundry and letting us help fold stuff when it comes out of the dryer. We love helping!
Today my wife Queen Talley and I are celebrating our 2nd year wedding anniversary! How time flies when you’re in love! Happy Mewsday to all our furiends!
Brrrr! 14 degrees?! We hope you are all staying safe and warm in your cozy home. We can't even imagine such cold temperatures! Ah, Holly and Mitzi are making furiends. That's so nice! sure is a cold one out there with the wind making it feel below zero for the second time this year. the last time we tied the record low was early november and well we did it unless it's dropped since janet took pepper out around 3 this morning as it was a nasty biting cold wind! she doesn't have any errands she knows of unless something comes up while she's at work. now it's itchy eyes as it's dust and dust mites inside the house and out side believe it or not the first pollen release unless it's mold floating around which she wouldn't put down either as the first pollen release usually isn't till the end of february. haley,ab,angels
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
It was drizzling lightly this morning when Mom took us on our stroller walk, but not enough to get us too wet; although Mom got a little damp. MOL! We have a nice cover over our stroller so Callie and I were ready to go. We’re predicted to get a lot of rain on Wednesday, maybe 3 to 4 inches, but we’ll believe it when we see it. At least the temps aren’t as cold. On our way back home, we saw Ebony and Sugar Bear napping in their bay window. We waved at them, but they were fast asleep. Ah, the good life!
We are all doing fine. I don’t see the vet for another urine test until February. Whew! Gotta keep eating my prescription food! No more holiday treats for us or our pawrents. (Heavy sigh!)
It’s dark and gloomy out today, purrfect for catnapping. Hope you have a relaxing day too.
We hope your Mom was able to find Holly! Hopefully Holly won't keep going to the basement if that's where she was. Try to stay warm dear furiends. Our Dad was not happy to go back to work either! Come on Dad, cat food and treats cost money. MOL!
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
It was only in the mid 40’s this morning on our stroller walk. We didn’t see any ice on the roofs. According to the weatherman, we’re expecting rain starting tomorrow and continuing for 3 days. Hooray! Dad isn’t happy because he goes back to work tomorrow. Sorry Dad, but we need the rain!
Mom is still putting away all the holiday decorations and getting the house back to the way it was; and yes, that means the noisy ole vacuum monster has been let out of the closet. (Heavy sigh!) Guess this will be another good day to catch up on our beauty catnaps and dream about next Christmas. I better start working on my gift list. Hee, hee, hee!
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
Happy 2016! We’re so glad that CC is still going strong. It was another chilly start this morning, and we’re expected to stay in the low 50’s with rain possibly this week. Our pawrents took Callie and me on our stroller walk this morning. The creek has water, but it’s not much. The water dries up in spots along the trail, so we’re still hauling water to our bucket for the animals. The bucket is always empty the next day, so someone is drinking it.
Mom is going to put away the Christmas decorations today, (Gee whiz Mom!) so I guess that means Christmas is over. We’re going to miss the gift giving part. MOL! Our Dad goes back to work on Monday so hopefully our household will settle down and get back to normal.
Looking back on the months gone by,
As a new year starts and an old one ends,
We contemplate what brought us joy,
And we think of our loved ones and our friends.
Recalling all the happy times,
Remembering how they enriched our lives,
We reflect upon who really counts,
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
It’s almost time to ring in the Mew Year and we heard some firecrackers going off somewhere today as if people are preparing for a pawty. Oh no! We hate firecrackers. Time to hide under the bed. MOL! Our pawrents will be going out to an early dinner on New Year’s Eve, so they should be back in time before all the noise. That way we can all watch the ball drop at midnight in our cozy living room in front of the T.V.
No more rain predicted here, but it has been in the low 30’s in the morning and only getting to the 50’s during the day. Brrr! Mom hasn’t taken down the Christmas decorations yet, since our Dad is still on vacation for the rest of the week. We all like looking at the pretty lights.
Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your loving families. We spent a week getting to know Mom and Dad’s grandson George, who is quite a feisty three year old. The first few days we were terrified of his loud voice, but by the time he left, Mom had taught him how to use his quiet voice when approaching us. Believe it or not, I even actually let little George pet me once! George was delighted! My Mom’s brother, his wife, their daughter and new granddaughter also came to visit from San Diego for a couple of days. Now that everyone has gone back home, the house is quiet once again and hopefully we’ll be able to get caught up with my blogs. We missed our CC furiends and kept everyone always in our prayers. Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We’re expecting more rain today (hooray!), but it won’t start until later this evening. This morning was quite chilly on our stroller walk- for Mom and Dad, not for Callie and me. Hee, hee, hee! Mom never forgets to heat up our bed warmers before we head on out. The creek has more standing water and we think it just might start running after tonight. The rainfall hasn’t been enough yet. Dad says to be careful of what we wish for!
We have our Christmas lights on since it is dark and cloudy outside. It’s the purrfect day for catnapping. Tomorrow Mom and Dad’s grandson and family will be here, so we might not be on CC as much, but we’ll paw our daily votes. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday and we’re praying for another happy year with our CC furiends!
Whoo hoo! Welcome to sweet Holly! What a wonderful name for the holidays! She sounds beautiful. My Mom was checking her email for the surprise photo, but we got the email, but no photo. Hi Angel Rhuby and family!
We apologize for not meowing the past couple of days, but it has been very hectic around here. Mom got all her last minute Christmas shopping done on Tuesday, braving the mall once more. What a zoo! Once that was done, we’ve been helping Mom toddler-proof the house for the arrival of their grandson next week. Mom says it’s a lot easier to cat-proof a house! That’s because we are all such good kitties and we hardly ever get into things that we shouldn’t. (Hee, hee, hee!) At least we don’t get caught! Then Wednesday morning Mom got a call from our neighbor Abarna. She said Ebony was limping and she was very worried. Abarna hasn’t been feeling well and we’re all hoping she doesn’t get a cold. So Mom went right over and Ebony was limping, holding his back left leg up as he hobbled around. Mom took him to the vet and he had a “corkscrew” nail hurting his paw. It wasn’t too bad yet, so the vet, her assistant and Mom were able to hold him down while Dr. Natt got it out. Ebony cried, but he was a very good boy. He got an antibiotic injection and some pain medicine and the vet said he needed to rest and have someone keep an eye on him. So Mom decided to bring him to our house for the night. Mom set him up in the exercise room, which is usually Callie’s catnap room. The room has a heated cat sill bed, some carpeted stairs to get up to the window, a litter box and cat toys. Mom brought his cat bed from his house too. He slept most of the day, but the evening was a little more exciting! Ebony meowed and meowed so Mom set up a futon bed in the room and she stayed with him all night. He calmed down and slept soundly curled up next to Mom. This morning, Mom was a little sore from sleeping on the futon. She blames her old age! MOL! But great mews- Ebony is no longer limping! He ate his food, drank water and started to explore the room. Mom finally put him back in his carrier and took him home where Sugar Bear and Abarna were delighted to see him. Hooray! Now it’s time to get caught up with my blogs. Chop, chop Mom!
Your Mom's large tiger family needlepoint sounds gorgeous! Your Mom is very talented. Gifts made from love are always the best!
