What I love about my owners: She is always fun. Like one time,she was in the sprinkler,and I love,water,and she started playinh with me,and I just felt good.And I love that she aways takes me places,if she can.Once she want to work,and she took me because she works at a pet shop.I got so many free things!!

Hey Kayla and Family- long time no purrs!
We've missed you! Wow what crazy weather we're having here in VA today! This morning - surprise - it was snowing! Then this afternoon - surprise again - it was sunny, though it sure didn't warm up any. Good thing we're indoor kitties! We had a great day with Mom since she was outta work cause of the snow. We watched the dogs tramp around the yard and keep the squirrels in line and napped in the warm sunny chair in the den. We even played a few games of chase up and down the hall with Mom! Then we played with our favorite catnip'd mouse toy on our climbing tree til we wore ourselves out! Recently we asked you to check with your Moms and Dads to see what one word they would use to describe you. Wow—did we ever get a lot of descriptive words! We’ve posted the complete list on the Mews Room Page #46883, but thought we’d share some of the most popular responses we received personally. If we had counted all the different variations of the word “Love”, and totaled them together, those would have won paws down. But since we kept each word exactly as we received it, here are the top words. The words Sweet, Loving, and Precious were reported by 6 kitties. The words Princess, Lover, and Affectionate were reported by 5 kitties. The words Devoted, Feisty, Mama, Quiet, Spoiled, Loyal, and Shy were reported by 4 kitties each. We are swimming by with your Friday vote. We’ve arranged for an open pool party at our house tonight, so PLEASE feel free to stop by. Mom set up special platters of munchies on the table, and in the cooler is cold catnip soda/catsip milk in case anyone is hungry or thirsty. Lounge by the pool with your favorite drink in paw. In the gazebo you can relax and watch bird or butterfly videos. Our Kitty Angels have agreed to light up the sky with their shinning stars and along with the lights in the pool, we’re all set. VOTE VELCRO & MARLIN #101218 COTD TUESDAY, MAY 26
Once bad boys, now good meowy citizens, these brothers got off to a rough start here on the CatChannel. They’ve learned the rules, vote for COTD and COTM candidates, conCATulate winners and participate in CC activities. This kitty duo has discovered the value of furiendship. It would be pawsome if they could share COTD honors.
The caterrific pair Velcro & Marlin are brothers, lucky enough to have been adopted by a pair of special young Moms, who are themselves sisters! Before moving into their furever home, they were known at the cat shelter as Velcro and Teriyaki. Teriyaki was renamed Marlin - after “Finding Nemo’s” Dad, thus V&M were “born.”
Feline acrobat Marlin (B&W) can CATapult about 5 feet through the air – or at least he did the time he was under the sofa and the vacuum was coming his way! Velcro (all Black) will sit on command. Both of them have mastered getting treats, plus they have purrfectly trained their Moms to CATer to their individual tastes - Velcro insists on anything other than dry treats while Marlin devours chicken.
Velcro hangs out UNDER the bed, loves potato chips, and enjoys sleeping while Marlin prefers to be IN the bed, loves real meat, and enjoys playing with toy mice; however, there are some things these brothers do together. Before becoming great MHL fans, when time permitted, they each played left wing on the Gryffindor Lions! V&M should be returning to the team as players shortly.
These kitties also love to change up their avatar with holiday or seasonal themes.
On any given occasion, you might find them at the movies, visiting a CC restaurant or entertainment site. V&M enjoy food so much they even opened a restaurant, V&M’s Pawty Place! You can’t get waffles with tuna syrup anywhere else!

Hi Kayla & Family
It’s been a long time since we meowed to many of you, so we thought we’d do a c/p blog to let you know we are thinking of our wonderful CC friends. During the summer months, Mom is very busy, so we probably won’t be able to chat with our friends on an individual basis as much as we would like. We’ll be continuing our work with the Catpaign Crew and reporting Birthdays and
Adoptiversaries on Birthday Central. Hopefully, we’ll be able to do some occasional c/p blogs just to say hello. Our Gang are all doing pretty well. Those of us who are allowed outside have been taking advantage of the warmer weather, and we inside kitties are enjoying watching all the outside activities, especially those involving birds, squirrels and chipmunks. But, none of us are very fond of those noisy lawn cutting monsters! We continue to miss our family members, McFluff and Gabby who joined the Angels at the Bridge earlier this year, but we know they watch over us, as they are being watched over by their fellow Angels. Please know that we always love hearing from each and every one of you and apologize if we aren’t always able to answer all the friendly blogs we receive. Now I am resting indoors. Mommy tried the Greenies pill pockets...ENNIS # 113861 is pretty sick with a complete body infection..Very red inflamed mouth, not eating much - is on Clavamox & isolation..,vet today..CIARON # 107756..has blood in urine- on Clavamox..Pray to give their MOM the strength to look after them all...WON TON UPDATE..the newest foster of the LANSDOWNE KITTIES..# 27357.. was transferred to a critical care facility at 1 a.m. . His liver function is elevated and his WBC dropping...He will undergo testing and change/review of treatment and meds today...BIG HEAD RED'S DAD.. #71883..- went to the E.R. yesterday for a 7.5 hrs- X-rays and a new resident said everything looked normal. Dad just rolled his eyes, gave up and left after that. It was that or blow up. They gave him some meds for the muscle spasms in back -o go to his dr in a week if not better. Hi Sweet Kayla!
How are you? Are you doing fun, exciting kitty stuff? Oh, what’s mew with us? We have a robin’s nest right outside the kitchen window! There are 3 babies and we just love watching the parents fly back and forth to feed them. But they eat worms and bugs- yuk! Our cat perch is perfectly placed to view the action. The girls have the morning shift (yes, Inga gets up earliest) and the boys have the evening shift (Roswell stays up latest). It’s so much fun to see them and hear those little birdies cheep, cheep, cheep.
And Mommy has mews to share, too- the successful adoption of two of her favorite shelter kitties, ages 6 and 8 months. They have been in their furever home for a month now and they have become loved family members. Mommy was so happy the day she introduced them to their new family, which includes a little boy to play with. Little Dice was her special project at the shelter. He came in as a very shy kitten, but he never hissed or swatted. Russell is his fun loving buddy, who always climbed high up on top of the cages at the shelter. Russell probably instigated their first misadventure in their new home! It seems that they got out of their “safe room” and ended up in the basement- up in the rafters. A few ceiling tiles had to be removed to recover these adventurous boys. Teehee, must have been fun.

MAY 12TH ..TO NAPPY & THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE MITTENS ..# 62059...OUR FIRST DATE WAS AN MHL GAME ONE YR AGO..WE HAVE HAD SO MUCH FUN AND HAPPINESS THIS PAST YEAR..MITT IS MY EVERYTHING!!. .THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR LIFE WITH ME MY LOVE !... ...I hope all of you Moms had a great Mom's day Sun too..It is 48F going up to 59F with risk of frost tonight.. "A cat is a tiger that is fed by hand.--RULES OF THE GAME..Play is one of the highlights of a cat's day.. In games with toys, be sure to let Kitty win and hold on to his prize.. Then at the end of a play session, put toys away so they become new each time you take them out again..Vakaoka Genrin"...Well the Salmon Derby is now over.. Since May 1st we caught 15 fish for a total of 104 lbs of fish overall...The biggest salmon we caught was 12lbs ..We caught rainbow trout, cohoe salmon ,king chinook salmon and a lake trout..We didnt win any top prizes but may have won daily draws, My brother won kids prize ..The top fish on board was- 18.6 lbs , a salmon ..Fri was 79F - we had thunderstorms & hail Sat & GOT CAUGHT IN THE STORM AS WE WERE FISHING.. & Sun was windy and cold in 40's . .We sure had fun catching those fish!..My girl Mitt came down to cottage to see me on Sun...".PRAYERS & UPDATES...GYPSY. .#114577..gave Gypsy more IV flds,she threw up once .She hasn't ate anything at all,and had only a small amt of water.She was alert this morning,but has been sleeping all day. will call the vet first thing in the am for her...ENNIS # 113861 AND FONZIE # 107756 (OUR COTD TODAY).. are sick and Mom needs to take care of them plus watch for signs in the rest of the family..went to vet last night.. Ennis has sores on the roof of his mouth and a possible virus; is running a fever.. Fonzie is lethargic, running a fever. Both had blood work, etc done and we will get the test results tomorrow. Both are on Clavamox... ..MR JINKS #43961.. STAT IVP.. UTI traveled up into kidneys... she has a severe kidney infection. Her kidney bld work panels came back high but nothing serious. She has alot of pain in her back. Her dr switched her meds- she's hoping that she'll start feeling better. Mom, thank you for loving me no matter what I do. Thank you for worrying over me and nursing me when I am sick. Thank you for taking time out of your busy life to play with me. Thank you for taking me to the Vet and buying me special medications, food, treats, toys, furniture, etc. Thank you for not minding a world covered in hair. Thank you for treating me as your child and not an animal to be tolerated. Thank you for keeping my food and water dish clean, fresh and filled. Thank you for keeping my potty clean and fresh. Thank you for cleaning up, without complaint, when I have been sick, coughed up a hairball, or needed help with cleanup when my fur gets too long-you know where. Thank you for not becoming angry when I become a stubborn puss. When we have claws, thank you for tolerating the occasional scratch and supplying us with an alternative to your furniture for which to sharpen our claws. Thank you for sharing your space with me, even when I want the "Lion's" share. Thank you for allowing me to be the "BOSS" with all my demands and desires for which you always come through. Thank you for being there through all the ups and down in all my nine lives and most importantly for being there with me to hold my paw as my tired little body gives up the fight and I must leave you to cross over the Rainbow Bridge. The forever home, filled with love overflowing is more appreciated than you could ever imagine. Today and every day of the year, I honor YOU, Mom. You are the BEST!! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

...WOW.. WHAT A SHOCK AND A NICE SURPRISE TO WAKE UP AND FIND MYSELF...NAPPY.. IN THE COTD WINDOW TODAY!.....Thank you all for making this happen!...I will get to my thank yous later this week...It is 46 F with lots of rain ...Mom is still shaken up about the tornado Sat.. but each day is getting better...She is just counting her blessings and thanking God & her guardian angels.. .Just a small amt of damage to the truck...There was only damage down the one road we were on...THE WEATHER CHANNEL EVEN PUT MY PICS ON TV YESTERDAY...The cottage is fine....Cats just like nibbling on plants..For houseplants, the best solution is to make them inaccessible by hanging them out of reach, putting pebbles on the dirt surface or spraying the leaves with eucalyptus oil..You might offfer an alternative by supplying grasses grown for kitty to enjoy...PRAYERS FOR.. SMOKEY.. #125317.- ear infection- on antibiotics, & is sneezing a lot. ..RHOAMIN # 2921..He is feeling a little better....TIMMY'S MOM # 8851 seeing Dr. for nuclear stress test and CAT scan for a brain aneurysm...CASPER TODD # 6451.. has Urinary Tract Infection plus Feline Endocrine Alopecia treatment.. ..It feels like 77 F going up to feeling like 88F with humidex & sunny...IF THEIR CLAWS DIDN'T RETRACT,.. CATS WOULD BE LIKE VELCRO....Went to cottage Thurs night..Weather was great up until Sat afternoon .I was outside alot patrolling my chipmunks ..Almost caught one..It felt almost like summer..Sat about 320pm we were all in truck heading for Grampa's Birthday pawty when all of a sudden we spotted 3 funnel clouds that touched down and became tornados...Mom has never seen anything like it before and so close!..The temp at the time was 95 F and then suddenly dropped to 60 F...Check out my pics..Very scary for Mom..She is still shaking..Her guardian angels are still with her..It ripped the molding off roof of new truck and the truck was swaying..There were shingles and bricks torn off houses and alot of trees uprooted & debris flying..We were only 3 miles from cottage too...We are very lucky!....We went fishing on Fri and caught a tasty cohoe salmon 4 lbs..Too windy to go rest of week....PRAYERS FOR.. SMOKEY.. #125317.- has had an ear infection and is taking antibiotics, but has started sneezing a lot. His Mom is worried and is taking him back to the Vet ...RHOAMIN # 2921...He has vomited several times and slept all day. Mom took his temp - was 99.6.. He finally ate some and drank water late yesterday afternoon. He is back to sleeping....TIMMY'S # 8851 MOM seeing Dr. for nuclear stress test and CAT scan for a brain aneurysm...JESSIE'S # 56226 SUZIE is sick went to vet.. PRISS'S MOM # 27357- sick for 2 wks and is on meds..she is run down.., ..DUMBO'S DAD & MOM..#3463...MY GIRL MITTENS #62059. She is still limping with pain ....LITTLE BITS MOM #82473 .. She has MS is feeling much better.. and hips aren't hurting as bad now... .. MS FLUFFY'S MOM ..#74942...Kidney Dialysis..IS HOME NOW.....GYPSY # 114577.. eye infection & thyroid probs.. CHLOE'S MOM # 22891- severe flu bug since early Wednesday AM.. .KERRY #100063....IRISH CLAN FOSTERS Have arrived and life is turned upside down in their sedate (?????) home..His Mom rescued 5 four-week old kittens SUN and -they are fostering them-. all have eye infections but they are already clearing up. - are eating really well, drinking KMR and using the litter box already..pics posted soon....
