We will totally have all paws crossed that the settlement meeting goes well. Mom worked out in the yard most of the weekend. It looks like a jungle. We had rain last night & this morning and now it is just very windy. I love movies.

A road trip sounds great. I like disneyland. That is what we have out here. I have heard Disney world is even better.
Yesterday was the 7th Anniversary of Angel Daddy leaving this world so it is always a hard day for mom. I wasnt born yet but the older kitties have said how nice he was and that he loved kitties. Ok I am packed and ready to go.

How was your Easter? Ours was “eggstra” special because The Easter Bunny came to see us. He brought us a Kong catnip carrot kicking toy & two Yeowww catnip carrots. Sissy kinda likes the Kong toy, but MerryBelle & I were not too impressed!

We are excited because today is Opening Day for Major League Baseball. As most of you know by now, we are HUGE Chicago Cubs fans. Hope springs eternal on Opening Day each season but we foresee another dismal season for our beloved Cubbies.

Hope you are feeling better today. I had my teeth cleaned two weeks ago. Mommy was worried sick about me but I did great.

Today is World Day of Prayer, so we would like to share this Scripture about The Value of a Furiend with you.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 says:

Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls

Sorry you have a bad toothy. Hope the vet will make it feel all better.

Thank you for your prayers for MeMe. She is doing ok, still in a good bit of pain at times. She has pain meds, but of course she will not or cannot remember to ask for those. So the nurses are giving them to her as directed by Doc.

Happy Valentines Day my sweet. The ruby is so beautiful. I have brought a heart shaped bed for us to cuddle in. I am so glad your leg is better. Did you get a lot of snow? We have only had snow here twice since mom moved here 25 years ago and it didnt stay. When mom livved in northern Ca they would get snow up there. Did mom ever hear about her settlement? Would you beleive mom lost her mouth gaurd. She knows it is in the house somewhere. When she woke up one morning it wasnt in her mouth. She tore the whole bed apart but it was gone. One of us kitties took it and batted it under something. It wasnt me!!!!! I bet it was that bad cat Rowdy. He is always up to no good. Mom got some free donuts at the day old bread store and now she has white powdered sugar all over her mouse.

How are you doing? We cats are doing great. I can't say the same for the humans. One cold after another, we're currently on the second bout of the flu, and all kinds of infections in between. That's why I haven't stopped by in a little while. Too busy taking care of mama! What would she do without me?

I have a funny story to tell about mama. She had to call Home Depot to see if they had an element in stock that she needed to fix a hot water heater.

As usual, they put her on hold so while she waited she fed the dogs. A piece of food fell under Melian and Tuna decided to go for it.

Melian exploded with a roar and scared poor Tuna half to death. She didn't bite but that would have been the next step.

Mama has zero tolerance for dangerous behaviour so she chewed Melian out royally. "Shame on you! You're a BAD girl! Shame! Shame!"

Silence.

Uh oh! Where was the hold music? How long had she been off hold? :) The woman on the other end timidly cleared her throat.

Mama explained that the dogs were being bad. The woman said nothing. I think she was more scared to death than Tuna! :)

She VERY apologetically told mama they didn't have the element in stock and hung up as quickly as she could.

I'm still smiling about this!

We still have snow on the ground and it's not showing any signs of spring yet. We're all longing for warmer weather. How about you?

It was pretty nice here today. I think it was in the mid sixties. As you may have heard we have a new addition. An 8 week old kitten was wandering in the parking lot meowing its little head of. Mom went and caught her and found she was starving and all her little bones were showing. She also had a puncture wound from a dog bite that had abscessed. Mom took her to the vet where they did all the test for disease and parasites dewormed her and cleaned her ears and gave her earmite medicine. The abscess was bad and she had to have surgery and a drain tube. She goes back Wed to have the drain removed. She is a sweet little doll and loves to be held and petted. She is eating like a horse and being cooperative with her meds. She laid on moms lap to watch the Super Bowl. Mom was bummed the 49ers lost but was glad they made a game of it.

It has been warmer here. You woulndt think that 10 degree difference from 20& 40's to 30 & 50's would make that much of a difference but it sure does. Mom will always remember Sparky flat on his back spread eagle sound asleep in the crease of moms legs only 4 or 5 inches long. He looked so adorable. He is getting picky about his food again and this morning turned his nose up at the one he had been eating really well. I have the guest room all set up for us so we can have some private time.

We saw on the news last night that your part of the country is really cold right now. Mom had to laugh about the 4 cats on the bed. She is getting between 15 & 17. Sparky lays right in the middle up by the pillows. Once she turns on the heated mattress pad everyone migrates to the bed. Sometimes she has a hard time finding a little spot for herself and in the morning she is pinned under the blankets by sleeping kitties. We have one of those microwave heated discs I will bring to keep our cuddle bed toasty.

I have missed you so much. Mom is working very hard to keep Sparky going. Mom will miss Rhuby for a long time. The more you love them the harder it is when they are gone. I am sure you are giving mom lots of purr therapy.
We sure had a wicked cold spell. It was in the middle and low 40's in the house for over a week. I guess you have our cold spell now. I will come over and we can snuggle and purr at mom. I am a real good purr machine.

Wow we won a lot of cat bucks in Paws Vegas. Our luck is certainly good together. We have had ice and frost the last 3 mornings. It has been getting very cold here at night. Our internet went out at home so I am sneaking in a visit from work. Good news Sparky weighed 8.15 today. That is up .20 of a pound from yesterday. Maybe there is hope!!!!!

Happy New Year! I hope you have a wonderful new year with fewer sorrows, more joys, and lots of yummy treats and naps spread throughout the new year. I'm going to get a head start on that in a moment.

I also hope you had a very merry Christmas. I had great plans on stopping by everyone's pages with greetings but I simply ran out of time. It seems we're always rushing from one thing to another and scrambling in between while juggling 10 different concurrent jobs! Hey, try saying that 10 times fast! :)

We have about 2 feet of snow here and while it's kind of fun to tiptoe in I am spending more time inside where it's warm. With all this snow mama finally got the chance to attach the sleigh runners to Pippin's cart. They took it out for a spin and Pippin is such a trooper.

He's only 31" tall and with the snow being half his height, he really had to struggle. But, he doesn't give up. Ever! He just kept pulling and pulling and away they went. If the sleigh got stuck he just kept pulling until someone helped him. Shh, don't tell Pippin this, but I was mightily impressed. And that takes a lot!

In fact, with you complimenting them on their looks and me being impressed I'm a bit worried about their egos! They loved hearing how much you liked their photos!

Anyway, I hope you're doing well. Are you staying up till midnight? Best wishes again for the new year and here's your very first vote of 2013!

You should have seen all of us on moms bed. She turned on the mattress pad to preheat and before she went to bed we all laid down on it. There was no room for mom MOL. Yes there is a special bond with bottle babies. I was 3 weeks old when got Clay and I and my 2 sisters so I got the bottle for a couple of weeks. It is cold tonight so lets snuggle under a blanket.
